Sean Lada and his crew did an excellent job not only with the installation itself but with the communication back and forth. He provided great input for the design and he listened to what we wanted and worked with our ideas to make what we envisioned happen. When the project was completed and all the punch list items taken care of (very few for a job this size), we found an issue with the baseboard around the convector units. Sean and his team worked to quickly schedule and get the marble baseboard fixed so the units could easily be opened. We appreciated the response of Sean and his team even after the job was substantially complete. We would personally recommend Adela Construction as a company that performs the quality work you pay for, and would hire them again for future projects.

The work was accomplished but it had the worst detailing. No sense of professionalism or care for details. The contractor sub-contracted other people (the supposed carpenters). Please double check their job accomplishment. We paid to paint the doors and frames Burt they only painted the frames on the outside not the inside and not the doors. We paid for two coats of paint but they only painted once. We requested a water leak in the toilet to be fixed and they changed some parts but the leak is still present. It was clear that he didn't have good enough relationships with suppliers, which is fine - he was just starting out and we wanted to support a small, new business. I should have known something was off with him when he asked for $20 more dollars than he originally quoted me for the job and said it was because it took him so much effort to get the part. How is that the customer's fault exactly? Anyway, we liked him, he was communicative, and I even sent him my aunt's way and encouraged my local hardware store to refer him to customers (when I had called the hardware store, they didn't have his information). Cut to this week where things with Rush got REALLY bad. I had been contacting him for FOUR MONTHS about getting a second opinion on something wrong with my fridge. No response. He visited my aunt's place and she informed him of what a dick he was being and upset I was that he had just ignored my messages to him about my fridge for so long. So he texts me and says he guarantees he and his guy will be at my place within 2 weeks. I reply thanks and let him know which date(s) work best for me. No response for one week. Then he sends me a stinky message today saying he's not authorized to do HVAC work in my building (why could not have known this months ago is beyond me) and that he's not willing to get his guys "shut down" because of it (as if I would have forced him to do something he's not authorized to do?), and that I "am going to have to find someone who can work around your schedule." Uhhhh...shouldn't all customer-oriented businesses work with my schedule? And isn't that what I was trying to do by letting him know which days in the next 2 weeks worked well for me? Total A-hole. Not to mention he trash talked my aunt! Totally unprofessional for someone to discuss other clients negatively, but especially when I KNOW her, come on! And what exactly did my aunt have to do with him ignoring me for months? Nothing. Not worth getting in to in detailed fashion, but things escalated from there with him being extremely rude and self-righteous. I also come to learn that he'd been harassing my aunt to get a response from her condo board and then was pissy toward her when he learned the board hadn't approved him. He also claimed that he did me a "favor" by only charging me an extra $20 for the bathroom work he did for me and said he had "already" given his business card to every hardware store in NW...he's basically an ungrateful, self-righteous, unprofessional guy. Though Rush claims to not "need" Yelp for business, I sincerely hope you readers use this Yelp review to not give him a chance. We gave him a chance and tried to support his business, and we totally regret it.

My parents were extremely particular and search out Plumb Square because of their engineering knowledge in this area. After a successfully completed project - we then also used Plumb Square for a kitchen renovation which included tearing down a wall -moving all the appliances around and creating a breakfast bar! It's been a year and it's simply gorgeous! I was given several brilliant ideas regarding small touches by Kevin - the foreman- who really works carefully and cares a lot! I believe he is physically incapable of not doing it perfectly - he is a perfectionist is all I can say! Our house is 100 yrs old and the floor slants and Kevin would not stop til the cabinets lined up perfectly- not easy in our old house. We finished right on schedule as well! And I think under budget! Final result: we are always getting compliments and I personally feel like my kitchen is straight out of a four seasons hotel or something! Plumb square also just installed our new roof... The work was high quality and it was done with great attention to detail as well as remarkable speed; all of our neighbors were stunned at how quickly it was finished. And everyone raves about the new room. Gerry was always easily reachable and worked very hard to make sure that everything we wanted could be done within a budget that was reasonable for us. He was honest from the get-go about potential costs and what our reasonable options were given the budget we had planned. He and the excellent architect that he worked with presented us with a variety of options and talked us through all of the relevant considerations. They had tremendous patience. When unexpected structural problems surfaced with our old house, they found sound ways to address those problems without letting costs skyrocket. Gerry was extremely organized and kept things moving along briskly, but always while listening to what we wanted. He accommodated our schedule, coming early in the mornings and later in the evenings to make it convenient for us. He always took our views and desires seriously, and was never dismissive. To boot, he and the others suggested many helpful things that we would never have thought about - for example, when they installed an HVAC system for the new room, Gerry or Kevin suggested adding an additional unit in our kitchen that would connect to that system. They also added additional insulation underneath our kitchen floor while they had access to this area. As a result, we had a warm downstairs all winter for the first time in the 14 years that we have lived here, and paid lower heating bills than we ever had in the past. Kevin, who supervised the work on a daily basis, was extremely conscientious about minimizing any disturbance to us. He arranged things so that work crews would not be in our way during hours we were home, and he bent over backward to make sure that our convenience was prioritized, even when it didn't matter to us. Kevin also noticed additional details that could be easily fixed if we wished, even though they were not part of our plan - for example, he noticed unmatched window moldings in our kitchen that could be easily replaced in part with moldings from windows that we were removing and in part with matching moldings he could easily secure. The landscaping that Gerry's brother did in the backyard made our yard look better than it ever has before. Every job that was done--construction, design, flooring, painting, roofing, installation of the heating and cooling system, adding insulation, landscaping, drainage, etc.--was extremely high quality. I would definitely use Plumb Square again, and they have my highest recommendation.
