Blueberry lemon pancakes with a side of bacon (bacon was ordered separately)

Since I was staying the hotel, it was convenient for me to eat here and what not. I had breakfast twice in a row and I have to say, I was not disappointed. I think their breakfast options are very good. A little pricey but I had purchase a voucher through a travel package so my out of pocket cost wasn't too bad. Out of everything I tried, I really enjoyed the blueberry lemon pancakes. They're fluffy and sweet. The potatoes were nicely seasoned along and filling. The view is gorgeous since it's right in front of the ocean.

We had a really good dining experience here for my wife's birthday celebration. My daughter, wife and I shared the spicy tuna crispy rice, Prime New York steak, grilled seabass and short rib fried rice. The spicy tuna was not what we were accustomed to but it was still tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly and came out really tasty especially with the chimichurri. The seabass with the Yuzu ginger broth was wetter than I like but still flavorful. I prefer a dry rub over fish which I find cleaner with higher quality fishes. Overall, we still enjoyed our meal and had some nice cocktails during our celebration.

Nice ambiance, very clean and organized as you walk in. Love that the place is dog friendly and has a doggie menu. Good food, good service, good time.

Loved our brunch! Had the sampler tower, crispy tator tots and bloody Mary's and mimosas. Everything was PERFECT!!

My friend and I came for drinks and dinner, and even on a rainy night the ambiance was beautiful. The patio is a must, the ceiling-mounted heaters keep it warm without the usual clutter of heat lamps. We shared a bottle of wine, a soup for her, and a mushroom orecchiette for me. Unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked. Not al dente, just not cooked through. It was disappointing because the mushrooms and sauce were excellent, and they pour the sauce and soup in front of you which is a nice touch. It makes the dining experience feel more elevated. I rarely send dishes back, but this one wasn't edible. Our server, Shelby, was kind and professional and replaced it with the duck and goat cheese charcuterie at no charge. It was delicious, with generous portions. Despite the hiccup with the pasta, we had a lovely time and I'd happily return.

Pretty good contemporary American restaurant by the water in HB. With a nice place like this some dishes are priced on the higher end and some are fair. Nevertheless, great spot to impress a date or relatives. Food here is pretty great too. I'd recommend the lobster Mac n cheese. Their dinner roles are exceptional as well. Service here is pretty great and I'd recommend sitting outside at the patio. It's all well heated too.

Had such a great dining experience at Lōrea inside Pasea Hotel & Spa! Let me start by saying the food was SO delicious overall. Now, for full honesty, the starters weren't the star of the show for me. We ordered the pork belly wraps and spicy pork gyoza. Both were cooked well, but in my opinion, they were missing that extra "something" maybe a dipping sauce or a bit more flavor to really elevate them. Next time, I'd probably skip those and try different appetizers. The service was great from start to finish attentive, friendly, and everything came out smoothly. The restaurant itself is super cute, and I loved both the indoor and outdoor seating options. We sat outside under the heaters, which made for such a cozy, perfect vibe. BUT the mains and sides? That's where they absolutely delivered. I had the Korean BBQ salmon and WOW flavor on flavor on flavor. Easily one of my favorites of the night. For the table, we shared lobster mac and cheese, asparagus, and whipped potatoes, and let me tell you... those sides were everything. The portions are generous (perfect for sharing with 4-6 people), the mac and cheese was rich and creamy, the asparagus was cooked perfectly, and the whipped potatoes? Smooth, fluffy, and packed with flavor, definitely a standout. We were originally hoping for the tomahawk steak, but they had run out (sad moment ). However, they made it right by offering a prime New York steak for two and honestly, no regrets because that steak was FIRE. Super flavorful, juicy, and absolutely mouthwatering. We also tried the Wagyu and sea bass, which were both delicious, but the real highlights for me were the steak and salmon. Drinks were also on point! We had an Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, and a few lemon drops including blackberry, passionfruit, and watermelon. The blackberry lemon drop was hands down my favorite, so good! To top it all off, they brought out the cutest birthday macaroons! One tasted like Fruity Pebbles (so fun!) and the other was paired with whipped cream and raspberries such a sweet touch. Overall, while the appetizers didn't quite hit for me, the mains and sides absolutely carried the experience and are 100% the reason I'll be back. I'll definitely be returning for more steak and that Korean BBQ salmon!

Beautiful location Not too many vegan options though I had the beyond sausage - they seemed deep fried Also the potatoes. They were ok but could have been crispier and had more flavor The Balinese salad was ok too. There was a ginger taste to the dressing and it came with farro as well The server was really good I had the London fog as well and it was very good

The food was amazing! Loved how colorful and tasteful it was. Two locations one in Mexico City and another in Huntington Beach. I would love to come back and try more of their menu. Lovely restaurant and amazing drinks!!

It was our first time and finding parking was very difficult. We ended up parking at Pacific City and thankfully parking was free due to some special Anniversary. We had a 7 pm reservation, but at 7:20 pm, we were told there are two parties in front of us! That was disappointing, what's the point of a reservation? About 10 minutes later, we were seated because one of the party canceled. It is located in Pasea Hotel & Spa. The ambiance is great. There are both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was delicious. I like the plating of each dish, so pretty; especially my Oshizushi. I love the toasted Nori on the side. My hubby enjoyed his fish. It was well flavored and no bones! We want to return in the daytime to enjoy the ocean view.

I ordered the poke, and while it tasted good, the portion was underwhelming. For the price, a few extra ounces wouldn't hurt. On the bright side, the martini was strong and well-made--great job by the bartender. Service, however, was a bit lacking. After food delivery, there was no follow-up. A quick check-in within a couple of minutes would have made a big difference in the overall experience. View was spectacular though!

Lorea offers a fantastic dining experience with its great ambiance and contemporary decorations, all while providing a beautiful ocean view. The dinner was amazing, and the service was exceptional. The cocktails were enjoyable as well. However, breakfast took a lengthy 45 minutes to arrive, and the birria burrito left me a bit disappointed as it was dry. The level of service during breakfast seemed to fall short compared to dinner. A special shoutout bartender, Chris who not only crafted excellent cocktails but also provided fantastic service when we came just for drinks in the afternoon. He also made the best Spiced Apple Sour cocktail during our breakfast. Overall, I highly recommend Lorea and the associated Pasea Hotel for a pleasant 5-star experience.

This restaurant is located inside Paseo Hotel & Spa (which also features Treehouse rooftop bar overlooking the beach). Ambience - As many other reviews mentioned, this was spot on. Many angles/seatings of this resturant (more outdoor than indoor of course) directly look out into the beach and when we had our dinner at 7pm sunset time the view was stunning, palm trees ocean against backdrop of a orange purple red Patagonia-logo sunset made us paused here and there during our meal to just enjoy the view. Restaurant itself is clean, modern, and very spaceous. Food - We ordered kale salad (refreshing balanced out our meat dishes, slightly saucier than expected), duck/goat chacutterie (great visual and great taste), prime steak frittes (medium rare felt a bit more like medium but still delicious), whole market fish (seabass that day with squash and lemon, tasty and filling) and the infamous parker house rolls (HEAVEN w/ beewax butter edible candle dip). I see previous reviews complained about food being bland, but our meal was tasty so I'd chart it off under they're implementing long term improvements or it's just reviewers' own subjective differences. Service - Professional and friendly service, our server Erica always greeted us with a smile and randomly checked in on us as we dined to see if we were doing okay. Very attentive water refill frequency, when our server was busy other servers were helpful in stepping in (unlike some other places where they may have you wait for your server, understandable no harm no foul but this way just feels more collaborative and supportive). In the beginning we did wait a little for the host to appear on a not full house evening, but based on the behaviors we observed it felt more like they were all very busy and might be understaffed for the day, and not idling or negligent so we didn't mind it too much. As a bonus we went upstairs to Treehouse rooftop bar after for some drinks and the lantern rustic decor went very well with the sunset beach view! Parking - Valet parking since it's in a hotel, quick hard working young staff, attentive and polite. p.s. bring a light jacket if sitting outdoor during dinner time, the beach breeze can be a bit chilly!

There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That's right, there are seasons that we all love and look forward to, but sometimes, there are also seasons that some of us just dread. Well, this past Spring... The season I'm about to drop on you is not one from above, but I have a feeling you're gonna like it. Yes! My family and I, well mainly my wife and I, celebrated a season that I know most of you just might say is your NEW favorite season.... I'm talkin' Agave Season!!! Yeah, you know, that Blue Agave plant which is where a little thing called Tequila is derived from. And tequila my friends, when drinking straight, shot after shot, is the reason that some, most, well, pretty much all of us, usually make some bad decisions.... But.... This mother-and-daughter operation has a warmth you simply can't manufacture. The mother personally came over to greet us, the ambiance was impeccable, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. We had the shrimp curry, beet salad, French onion soup, short rib, scallops with mushroom risotto, and raspberry cheesecake, and everything was phenomenal. After finishing the shrimp curry, we still had some of the incredible sauce left, so our waiter suggested a half order of garlic bread to soak it up. Absolutely fantastic and exactly the kind of thoughtful recommendation that defined the service. Even the things I initially thought I wanted differently turned out to be perfect as served. I wished the French onion soup had more cheese until I discovered it at the bottom and realized the proportion was perfect for the flavor. Even the filtered water may genuinely be the best I've ever had at a restaurant, and our glasses never went empty. They also boxed our leftovers for us, another small detail that showed the level of care throughout the night. I'm honestly surprised Heirloom hasn't made the Michelin Guide. The service was on par with many Michelin-recognized restaurants I've visited, but with a warmth and personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. They comped a raspberry cheesecake for the birthday, and it was so incredible that we ordered another slice to take home. They surprised us by comping that one too! Exceptional food, impeccable ambiance, genuinely thoughtful service, and hospitality with real heart. Don't miss this place.

Let me start with the positives because the food was genuinely good. I'm not even an eggplant…read moreperson, but their eggplant appetizer was so good. They're known for their French onion soup and it was good, but I definitely wouldn't call it the best I've ever had. That said, it was probably two hours after we sat down by the time we actually got our soups , so maybe we were just really hungry by then haha. For our mains, we did the short rib, pork chop, and filet. Everything was delicious, but the filet was hands down the standout for me. The pork chop is wet aged, so it can look a little pink even when properly cooked, which threw one of my dining companions off a bit, but it was still good. Unfortunately, the experience was a different story. We had a 6:30 reservation and didn't leave until 9:45. We waited about an hour just for our appetizers, and shortly before they arrived, we were told they were down a cook and to expect delays. A three hour and fifteen minute meal for two and a half courses is just crazy. My biggest issue was the lack of communication. I wish we had been told when/before we were seated that the kitchen was significantly delayed so we could decide whether we wanted to stay or make other plans. Instead, we were already well into the experience before we got that information. The AC also wasn't great. It wasn't unbearable, but it was definitely uncomfortable, especially during Southern California's heat wave. I'm not sure if the AC just isn't very strong or if there was an issue that night, but sitting there for more than three hours while already feeling warm definitely didn't help. Then, right before our mains finally came out, we were offered complimentary half glasses of wine as an apology. Two of us declined, and one of my dining companions actually requested a completely different drink, but the wine was still brought to the table anyway (never received the requested drink either). If we've already said no, please don't bring it anyway. And honestly, after waiting that long, you need the full glass haha. At that point, I would have much rather been offered a complimentary dessert or something that actually addressed the three hour wait. The owner did come by twice and was very nice, and we were genuinely trying to be understanding of the situation. I just think there could have been more communication and a more meaningful effort to make up for the experience. Dessert didn't really redeem things either. We tried the crème brûlée and banana bread dessert, and neither would make my list to order again. The crème brûlée seemed overcooked and the banana bread dessert just didn't do much for us. So where does that leave me? The food is good, and there are definitely dishes I'd order again, especially the filet. But good food can only make up for so much when you spend more than three hours at the table, especially when you're hot and waiting most of that time. I'd be willing to give Heirloom another shot, but not before we get some cooler weather and I can confirm they've actually hired a second chef to help keep things moving at a more reasonable pace. If those things are sorted out, I'd be interested in seeing what the experience is like when everything is running the way it should.
