This was place was interesting. 5 Stars for a service. The waitress we had was friendly and took care of us right away. 4 stars for the food, it was really good. The bar is a little run down but has a lot of eclectic "artifacts" that make for entertainment. It doesn't have a welcoming atmosphere to new comers. We LOVE this place! Lynn is the best! We try to go most Sunday's for brunch. Lately we've gone a few evenings for dinner.

Loree's was a hangout for locals, it always been a dive, but a fun one. A few years ago the atmosphere changed, the clientele changed with the introduction of a couple of new bartenders. They brought their "clients/customers" with them along with their problems. It was being called Loree's little crack shack by the track, due to the increased used of meth. People were getting hurt, bar fights, attacks with injury's etc. The Police became aware of these problems and increased their enforcement. If you don't mind tweekers and power drinkers give it a try. The karaoke there is not as good as other bars, due to the KJ's consumption of alcohol and an unfair rotation. I would seek other venues that are better prepared and equipped to enjoy your night out. read more

Place is just not the same; the service is horrible, the place is gone downhill. Bar Rescue please!! The cook is rude and has issues when you have a large order, the Beer is warm! Do not recommend is you are in a large group and if you want an ice cold beer! read more

It amuses me that this titan among dive bars is categorized as a "diner" by Yelp. I don't know of many diners that are open until 2am with karioke every night of the week. Or any other kick ass "diners" that field over 50 different types of tequila or serve their beer in mason jars. WINNING. The karioke ranges from excellent to entertaining in a drunken circus animal type venue. The pool tables are beat up and old, just how they should be. There is the occasional outbreak of violence, but I've never had any trouble the many times I've patronized this establishment. I've only had the taco plate for which the bartender always recommends if you ask him. The tacos are outstanding, greasy and rubbed with parmesan cheese the way Jimboys Tacos used to before Jim died and his wife took over. Had to take one of our cars in to repair our window regulator (Super low cost Auto Glass - they are 5 star too!!!) and hubby picked me up for lunch while they worked on the car. We were on our way to Yard House when I had mentioned hearing good things about Loree's shack something.... and he said "I love that place!" and he promptly made a U turn in the little shack's direction. The ambiance was super fun. All kinds of random items Marilyn Monroe to X-mas decor hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. And signed dollar bills all over the walls. Again, totally random, but it totally works. Lynn, our server was wonderful(sweet older lady with long silver hair she wore in a ponytail) , so helpful and cheerful, she really made the experience over the top. I loved this place, it reminded me of some of the funky bars we used to go to when we lived in the Bay Area. 1 huge difference, the food was awesome! We both got taco's with bean soup, and a plate of chips and salsa. Salsa was not good, some jarred stuff. But everything else was outstanding. Their tortilla chips are made/fried fresh when you order them. And the tacos (ground beef only, which I don't typically like but....this is the exception) are great! I also ordered a Margarita, nothing to write home about . I'll stick with simple mixed drinks or beer (they have Stella which I love but, they really need a Negro Modelo to go with those awesome tacos). Now this bean soup.... beans were okay, broth was outstanding!!! I wish I could order gallons of it togo! The Bartender was a much older man, didn't talk, just read the newspaper and made drinks as needed. But I thought he and Lynn perfectly complimented each other and their establishment. This place definitely has potential. It could really be a cool little hang out with karaoke, mason jars, pool, newspaper coasters, and history. The drinks were pretty steep since a couple weeks ago I received more beer for a dollar less in auburn. The service isn't that great. If they brought in some new blood, cuter blood, they would probably see more action. It's a dive bar so I don't expect it to be super clean, and it's not, but better than most. If you have no where else to go or plan on going to more than one place, I say try it. read more

Don't want to give it even 1 star. Grew up in Rocklin and have never been made to feel more unwelcome entering an establishment as I did at Loree's. The old male bartender was rude and gave my party of 8 such a hard time before even serving a drink. As most of the reviews reflect, if you're a regular they'll treat you well, all others should try country club saloon up the street. At CCS drinks were great, food was delish, and more importantly, they wanted our business. Loree you might be able to afford real coaster and glasses if your employees didn't go out of their way to drive away new business. Embarrassed for my hometown. read more

Hand's down greatest dive bar in Placer County!! I have been a regular here for quite a few years and will continue for many more. Drinks are served out of mason jars with cut up newspaper for coasters! Typical random crap hanging from the ceilings and walls. Dollar bills hung all over the place. Inexpensive strongly poored drinks. Largest tequila section you will see. I don't know the freshness of the majority of it since I never really see a lot of people trying it and I just stick to my C & C (Cazdores and Coors Light). What really keeps me coming back are the regulars and the daytime/early evening bartender Ray. He is the nicest person you will ever meet. Plus he still dresses like the old shcool bartenders, black slacks, black shoes, white long sleeve shirt, and black vest! Everybody knows him and I will guarantee he will remember your name by the 2nd time you go in there and your drink choice probably by the third! read more

one of the worse experiences i have ever had at a bar, and i wasn't drunk. we started the afternoon at boneshakers(the new one) . My gf wanted to go somewhere else and had never been to Loree's so we decided to go. I have been to Loree's several times before, so i knew what to expect. It was about 4 pm when we got there. We ordered some tacos and i ordered a beer and she ordered some wine.The first mistake was on her part ,never order wine at a dive bar. She said it tasted old. The bartender said that no one really drinks that type of wine so it might be old. I gave to the wine back to bartender, she didn't offer to take it off the tab. We were talking to the bartender, trying to be nice but she was rude and scatter brained. She said she didn't sleep much the night before(wonder why). In another post someone mentioned Lorees crack shack... lol he was right. The tacos were good not great for a dollar. Then everything went south. I went outside to have smoke.(front) There was a couple of older people who looked like they live behind the bar in the trailer park. I lite up and something was in my mouth and i spit off to the side near a fence. This was not a deep from the lung spit just something in my mouth. A older Blondie lady asked me if i spit. I said yes. She then proceeded to say i was gross and it was the same as defecating on the floor.WOW . I told the lady that she was crazy and she then said she was the owner. she said, "don't spit in my bar". i then said "the is outside and i can spit if i want to its not china". she then got some hot water, to put on the spit which was the size of dime near a fence not the walkway. She used several gallons of water. i said she might want to put up a wet floor sign you don't want someone slipping. She should use that water to clean the bathrooms and the actual floor of the bar. She called the cops on me because of this. Later she cancelled them . i thought that this is a dive bar not the 4 seasons. She needs to be medicated . Once she said call the cops i went inside to get my card from the crack head bartender. the sliver lining to the story is the bartender never ran my card so i got tacos and beer for free for spitting outside. lol this isn't the first time i heard stories about her. i will never go back. better bars in rocklin and roseville. if distance is a problem fosters down the street is 10 times better. read more
