Owner is awful. In the 20 years I've been going there. I have never seen him smile.I ordered a "hot…read morezap", told him my toppings then said hot again. I realized when I got to the car they gave me a cold sandwich. So I went back in and nicely said excuse me this was supposed to be hot. He immediately said, no you didn't say hot. I said yes I did. He says no you didn't. I say it was literally the first word out of my mouth" (it was also my last word.) He continued to tell me I didn't say it offering zero customer service. When I was about to lose my cool, I turned around and said fine I'll just heat it up myself at home. I feel as though he should've said I didn't hear you say that, but if you would like it hot, let me throw it in the oven for you. I wasn't asking for a brand new sandwich. I was just asking for an hot one. Instead, he had a complete attitude and was trying to embarrass me in front of his customers and talked crap to the customers as I walked out the door stating I didn't say that. That is the most disgusting, poor example of what customer service should look like. I love the food, but sadly, I'll never give him another dollar.

The food was pretty good, but probably not worth the $15 - Maybe $9.99-11.99, since it came with no drink and no sides. The food was ready pretty fast. The staff were friendly and polite. Since this is essentially a franchise restaurant inside another location, what they have you do is this: They write down your order, they give you the ticket, you walk over to the gas station clerk counter, you hand them the ticket, they ring you up and mark it paid, you take the ticket back over to the Champs counter and hand it back when you get your food. An interesting way to do it for sure, but I can see why they do it like that.

Oh my goodness... The beef soup tasted incredible when I ate here with my mum. The beef itself was a bit small in my opinion. There was corn and carrots in the stew which made up for the lack of the meat however. The service was great too, they were all hispanic in some way and they were polite while presenting a menu that we were very ignorant about. My mom ordered the chorizo omelete and she loved it. I tried one of her little sausages and I agree with her, they were delicious. The chorizos were covered in crunchy bread and were spiced. Will be sue to come back here. read more

I started eating here because it is next dooe to mt favorite cigar store. There sandwichs are fresh, huge and awesome. I missed the turn and drove by this place the first time because it's disguised as a used car shop. Well, rather, it shares a building and lot with a used car shop, and I was a bit worried as I parked the car. Walking in revealed a surprise -- a casual and cozy interior with no hint of what automotive mayhem might be happening on the other side of the kitchen wall. The menu was bilingual and there was a board with the daily specials of the week. Thursday is costillo de puerco en salsa verde -- pork ribs in green sauce. I didn't see the sign before ordering, but even if I had, I wanted tacos. My one complaint is that all the prices on the boards are taped over. They must be redoing the pricing. I asked the woman behind the register and she confirmed the taco price: $3.75 each. I ordered 1 carne asada and 1 al pastor. The order took some time, but I could hear the sound of metal spatulas clanging against the griddle as the meat was being cooked. The tacos arrived unadorned. But that's what the salsa bar is for! It had a wide variety of accoutrements including cilantro, pico de gallo, white onions, cucumbers, red radishes, 3 salsas, and some type of escabeche. After garnishing my tacos, I took a closer look. Instead of the standard two (or even one, at some lesser establishments) corn tortillas pulled from a steamer, these tacos came with an obviously handmade one of slightly thicker stock. It was light, soft, and a bit fragile, but it did a fine job -- a welcome change from the standard pre-made ones. The flavor on each of the tacos was great. A bit salty, but with the right garnish and a little lime juice to cut in, they ended up delicious. I didn't order a drink, but they did have a selection of 3 aguas frescas which I'll probably order the next time I'm back. I'll have to find a reason to drive out to Bristow again, and it might be a Tuesday to get my fix for multiple $2.00 Taco Tuesday tacos al pastor.
