Patio seating with misters and live music
    Heather M.

The hub and I stopped in on a Friday afternoon during a recent wine tasting trip to Temecula. We purchased two tastings for $25 each, which allowed us to try six wines of our choosing. We tried most of the dry white and red wines available. Most were fine; one or two were really not good, and there were three that I enjoyed: Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo/Barbara, and the Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine pourers were friendly but didn't tell us a lot about the wine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The standouts here are the grounds, tasting room, and patio. It is a beautiful winery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Lorimar Vineyards has been here over 15 years and it's one of the many vineyards and wineries in Temecula Valley. Decided to stop here and revisit for a late lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as I walked inside, the host Dakota was super cordial and got me seated at their outdoor patio beneath sun shades, next to the vineyard and I had a perfect unobstructed view of the jazz performer on stage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After seating, I ordered a glass of their signature Cabernet Sauvignon and the Fromagé plate, which was presented shortly afterwards. The fromagé plate had a variety of cheeses, seedless red grapes, dried apricots, fig preserve spread and additionally a plate of bread... perfect for sharing or not. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The saxophone player played contemporary music which was all entertaining as I noshed and sipped vino.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their signature Cabernet Sauvignon was quiet lovely; aroma and depth of flavors was perfect with the fromagé ...love!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the lunch, a stroll around the grounds to see more vineyards, felt the breeze on a hot day was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Inside the gift shop there was so much to peruse through, but some of the stuff will definitely get a giggle out of you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's an art gallery connected to the main building. I wouldn't call it an art gallery but many walls were dedicated to showcasing local artists work depicting the Temecula Valley lifestyle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In the same room is the wine tasting bar and most of the people inside the art gallery seemed to be more interested in wine tasting than the art lol [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was my second time visiting, both times, I had a great first impression and last impression from the ambiance, food and service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service from the staff members were all courteous, helpful and just wonderful, All was amazing, Cheers!!Recommend

We had a reservation, so we were seated right away, which was a good start. We came on a Sunday during a three-day weekend, so we expected it to be busy, and we were still there to have a good time. That said, service was definitely not the fastest. Once we got seated, it took about 30 minutes for someone to greet us and take our order. Our server was sweet, so I don't want to put it all on her, but it did seem like the restaurant could have used more servers to accommodate the crowd. The food was okay. Our sides came out wrong, but once we were able to get our server's attention, she fixed it for us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, there were a few bumps, but the atmosphere helped make up for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We were seated right away by the host in Marcie's section and she was kind, great at explaining the different wine options and even got my mom signed up as a member! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the live band and the misters outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will say the prices are a bit high but it's the experience you are paying for as well.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The property is beautiful and the bathrooms were clean and maintained well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the chicken Caesar salad and the turkey sandwich to share with my mom and they were both so delicious. I also got the mimosa flights and they were refreshing. My favorite was the guava!

We just joined the Lorimar Wine Club, and we're so glad we did! Friends introduced us to Lou, and after spending some time at the winery with him, joining the club was an easy decision. Lou is the kind of person who makes you want to come back. He's incredibly attentive, genuinely friendly, and has a real passion for wine that comes through in every conversation. He's very knowledgeable but never makes you feel intimidated. Instead, he takes the time to learn what you like, shares great recommendations, and makes the whole experience fun and memorable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beyond Lou, Lorimar has a beautiful setting, great wines, and a welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can tell they care about creating a great experience for their guests and wine club members. We're looking forward to being members for years to come. If you're thinking about visiting Lorimar or joining their wine club, ask for Lou. You won't be disappointed!

I purchased a Groupon for Lorimar Vineyards & Winery. It was our first time visiting this winery, and it will definitely not be our last. Our server was Chris. He was absolutely AMAZING! He was so entertaining and friendly. We asked him if we could taste only red wines. OMG!! We enjoyed every single red wine we tasted, which is rare. It was really hard to decide which bottle to purchase. We ended up choosing a bottle of 2021 Montepulciano. Honestly, I was surprised at how reasonably priced their wines were. I've been a wine club member at four other wineries in the past, and their prices were such a pleasant surprise. Chris provided wine club information to us before we left, and we even got to meet his lovely wife who also works there. We had such a great time! I hope to join their wine club in the future!

Had a family day at the winery and it was great! The weather was perfect to take our 5-month-old and sit outside with some wine. Brought my parents along as well. They don't drink wine so my mom was the DD and my dad sampled a flight with us. The ambiance was great. Lots of seating in various areas and child friendly. The flights are priced well at $25 for 6 pours, and the knowledgeable sommelier even gave us an additional glass. Overall the taste of wine was OK, but nothing we'd purchase. I don't recommend the charcuterie board. It was an unimpressive spread of lunch meat, grapes, cheese, and crackers that I believe cost $30 something. I'd return for the atmosphere and try some different wines and maybe food from the restaurant. Overall was happy with the visit.

This is the $24 pepperoni pizza. Tastes frozen. Any fast food pizza is better than this. Please don't waste your money. Oh and they don't even have sides of ranch. They have packets that taste sour. Please eat anywhere else but here if you are winery hopping. Such a waste of money.

    Very good red wines

Decided to have lunch here today and I ordered a good glass of red wine and the Turkey Bacon Sandwich. The wine was excellent and the sandwich was very good as it came with fries. Our server was Kristin and she was wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was good and we enjoyed our time there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It seems things have changed at this winery, we have been members for almost 10 years but the personnel has changed and I don't see the same managers from before. I'll give it one more try before we decide if we cancel our membership. It just didn't have same old vibe.

As soon as we entered the winery Lou greeted us. I never met Lou before, but since I saw his name tag I decided to act like Lou was a long lost friend and of course stumped him, from there we a such a fun time talking and wine tasting. Lou made our day. Thank you, we will certainly be back to see you and visit the winery. Thank you so much

Came for the murder mystery dinner after seeing a flyer at our tasting last month. WILL NEVER RETURN! The event was great for the price however the service was atrocious. Erin took over a half hour to take our order. We waited for everything all night! After our order was finally in still waited another 10 minutes or so for drinks. Hard to enjoy the event waiting for food and drinks. Even had to flag down someone else for utensils. The sangria and Sauvignon Blanc were great but thanks to the horrible slow service we wouldn't come back.

Lorimar Vineyards and Winery Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Lorimar Vineyards and Winery

Reservation needed for tasting on the patio?

Not necessarily. During the week we walk in for tastings and patio seating is pretty open.

Is the patio dining area covered? Interested in visiting this weekend but it may rain! :(

There is a partially covered patio. Not ideal if it's a heavy rain. They usually direct visitors to inside tasting room when it rains. Then seating will be more limited.

    How much is the tasting?

Their site says $25. I'm a wine club member so I get free glasses.

Do you still have the all you can eat buffet brunch?

We do not have brunch at this time. Thank you.

Do they offer any other drinks options outside of wine on the patio? Such as beer, spirits, or soft drinks (non alcoholic options)?

At this time, we do offer beer, sangria, soda, soda water, and bottled water in addition to wine. Hope to see you soon!

    Are Dogs allowed?

    Yes they are allowed

Are kids allowed in during the day on a Sunday?

this is what their website says.., Thursday (after 5 pm), Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Lorimar Winery…

Is the Sunday brunch buffet still available at Lorimar Winery?

    No.

    Can we take outside food?

Outside food is not permitted at Lorimar. Pairings, our gourmet mobile kitchen, is available 7 days a week. We also have a large assortment of snack items available in the tasting room.

    Do you offer any beer?

Yes, we have beer available, but our taps change from week to week. Please ask your server for our current selection.

What days do they have live music and is it during the day or at night?

Weekend during the day and at night

Is there a cork fee for members?

Wine Club Packages and previously purchased wine can be opened by a Lorimar Server and consumed on property for a $15 corkage fee per bottle. Symphony Club members are exempt…

Are you open on Christmas Day?

We are not open on Christmas Day.

Do you allow outside food when wine tasting?

No outside food allowed. Food available there

Hi! Are you open for reservations?

Yes and they are recommended for weekends and Friday and Saturday nights

Do you make any organic wines?

At this time we do not. Thank you.

    Are you currently offering brunch?

    On sundays

Do they currently offer a complimentary glass with wine club pickup?

Yes. The wineries are providing complimentary wine club glasses to members as of June 12.

Any news on when you guys can open back up?

We do not have a date at this time. As soon as we receive a green light from the county, we will open. Thank you.

How much are tastings on the weekend?

    $18 for 6 tastings

We met up with a buddy from Riverside here as a halfway point, and it turned out to be an amazing spot. The Food Breakdown OBC Breadsticks (4-Pack): Delicious and fresh. They come with two dippers--stick to the classic plain garlic butter sauce for the best bite. Lost Traveler's Noodles: Really good. We added the extra shrimp--it pairs amazingly well with the flavorful, slow-roasted pork. OBC Tri-Tip Plate: Cooked to absolute perfection--came out exactly how we like it (medium-rare). Shrimp Tacos: Our friend ordered these when he arrived and completely devoured them. Our server, Amy, was attentive, friendly, and made our visit seamless. Upon entry, you'll notice the high pitched A framed ceiling which reminded me of some chalets I visited in Europe. The mostly wood and tapestry decor some might consider classic seemed dated but well maintained. The restaurant was half full, because most people were in the tasting room, at the other end of the resort, where the 2026 FIFA was on the monitor. The restaurant had a large outdoor patio with cool misters but it was too hot to dine outdoors. Inside the restaurant was large and many booth seating which we preferred. The walls of shelves showcased many awards and bottles of the wines produced by South Coast Vineyard. From the menu we ordered the prime rib along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Syrah both rated 90 points from wine reviews. After tasting the wines, there was no doubt the wines were very good. The prime ribs were served with mashed potatoes and asparagus tasted surprisingly very flavorful and delicious. Usually a pescatarian dish, but I was really excited to taste their red wines which paired well with the hearty prime rib, and the pairing was palate perfect. Service from the staff, especially the server and the head chef was great. The head chef used work for Lisa Vanderpump and resided in Beverly Hills, so we had that connection and we chatted. We finished with the ube panna cotta, which was elegant, silky, and the kind of dessert that makes you promise you'll "just have one bite" before accidentally eating half of it. Nathan took wonderful care of us all evening. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance between making us feel welcome and giving us time to enjoy the gorgeous patio. Watching the sunset with live music in the background and that spectacular view? It was one of those evenings that quietly reminds you why people go out to eat in the first place. Apparently we enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back the very just two days for lunch. (Scientific research requires repeat testing.) We started with the hummus, which arrived looking like it belonged in an art gallery. Fortunately, it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Then came the chile relleno, which was absolutely outstanding. If this dish ever goes missing, I'd recommend checking my refrigerator first. Faith was wonderfully friendly and outgoing, and our food expeditor, David, was so genuinely warm and personable that by the time he left the table, it felt like we'd known him for years. Restaurants can teach hospitality, but that kind of kindness is simply who some people are. My only tiny suggestion: please turn on the patio misters during these triple-digit California afternoons. The food was keeping us warm emotionally; the weather was handling the rest. And on the way out we let Christine know the carpets at the entrances needed a vacuum. Fantastic food, exceptional service, beautiful views, and an atmosphere that keeps drawing us back. Cork Fire Kitchen has once again reminded us why it's one of our favorite places to dine. Bravo to the entire team!

And of course the drinks are AMAZING. I always do dealers choice, where the bartender makes a drink for you based on preferences. It's so fun to be surprised and the bartender always makes such an amazing drink. I recommend putting your name on the list ahead of time then walking around the area until you can be seated! The wait time always goes faster than they tell you so be prepared! Either way it is worth the wait.

We arrived early on a Friday evening, and thankfully it wasn't crowded. Since they don't take reservations, getting there early is definitely the way to go. We ordered the Dealer's Choice, which was refreshing, balanced, and beautifully presented. We also tried one of their stronger signature cocktails, and they definitely don't hold back -- there's a reason they limit those drinks to two per person! Both drinks were creative and well-crafted. The bartenders clearly know their craft, and the drink presentation was outstanding. Service was good, although not especially memorable, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. One thing that would make the experience even more immersive would be if the entire staff wore cowboy attire to match the Old West theme. With the speakeasy setting and vintage decor, it would add a fun touch and make the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, Twain Speakeasy offers excellent cocktails, good music, and a unique atmosphere. I would definitely come back again, and my recommendation is to arrive early since reservations aren't available and I can see this place filling up quickly on busy nights.

Two of us ordered fish specials that were excellent and the other party member ordered a sandwich. Atmosphere and service were great and they included a complimentary birthday dessert and a 'cork' necklace. While there, we went into the gift shop/wine tasting area, took a peek at the vineyards and looked around the vendor stands that were selling jewelry, crafts and clothes, etc. The place was really busy and lively. There was supposed to be live music starting at 1pm according to the web site, but I didn't hear/see any, so that was disappointing. The only downside was I could only make a reservation at noon or BEFORE, so I made one for noon. I would have liked a slightly later reservation, but since they didn't do that for some strange reason and I didn't want to risk 'walking up', we went for noon. Note: Their bottles of almond bubbly (and other flavors) are less expensive at other retail outlets than on-site at Wilson Creek. (You'd think it would be the opposite!) I tried the limoncello flavor while there, but it was no match for the almond, which is my absolute favorite! Free parking.

It is on the heavier side due to the brown farro butter but man, worth the calories.
