Came here for a friends birthday party and had a great time. I got the chicken pasta which was my favorite. It had huge noodles that was delicious in the sauce. The garlic bread was also yummy. It wasn't too hard or too soft. I also got the mixed wine flight. My favorite was the first one which was called vermentino so after we got a bottle of that. The service was really fast. Our server was Marcy and she was super nice. She took our order and we had a couple of questions and she answered them thoroughly. read more

Lovely spot. We went on Saturday night. They had live music, which I sort of expected to be an acoustic band, it was a rock band. A bit more aggressive than anticipated but hey. Wine was lovely ZIN and Multipulciano were yummy. Loved the tuna tostados. Lots of flat red options too!! read more

My wife and I love relaxing here with the spacious views, great entertainment, food and superb wines. As members we enjoy the events and my wife loves shopping the gift store. Picking up our quarterly wine package we enjoy the great service and fun that Lou provides us in the members area.......we have visited several wineries in the Valley and appreciate this one foremost.....high five to Lou! read more

The food and wine is so very good here. But the entertainment and the ambiance is wonderful. Have gone several times. Two times for a girl's trip and once with the hubby. This is an awesome day trip! It's pretty... I liked one of the red wines so I bought it. The food is mediocre AF. I would say below mediocre but, I'm ESL and it's late so I can't think of the word I would use. It's all served on paper plates. Baked Brie - the bread was hard AF. Lots of sauce. Not enough Brie Chicken Pesto Sandwich - the bread was blah. I ended up eating the insides. The fries were cold and over cooked. We were one of the first tables sat so, maybe it was yesterday's fries. No idea. They ran out of ranch. I was using packet ketchup. For the price, I feel like I should get better. 4 cheese flatbread - I tasted only mozzarella. Would I come back? Probably only for the wine. One of the red ones. read more

If you like dirty wine glasses, hidden gratuity charges and super slow service, this is the winery for you! I came here on a Friday night with my friend to celebrate my birthday. We were seated all the way in the back and could barely see the live band, so we requested a seat at the fire bar. It took at least 10-15 minutes to be acknowledged. Once we finally were, we put in an order for a bottle of wine, a charcuterie board to start with and then our meals. When the wine was brought, I immediately noticed lipstick on the side of both glasses. I then looked inside my glass and saw droplets of white wine at the bottom. I smelled the glass and it still smelled like wine. Disgusted, we tried to flag down our server, who ignored my flailing arms. My friend then found someone else and showed him our glasses. He also expressed his disgust and offered to bring us new glasses. We then waited an hour for our food to arrive, even though, we noticed tables that arrived after us had already eaten and left. Just when we were going to flag our server down to inquire about the delay, our food finally arrived. I ordered the Fig and Goat flatbread, a charcuterie board and my friend had the salmon. All were tasty. Our server promised to bring water when we first ordered, however, they were not brought until our meal came. We ordered a second bottle of wine and then requested to close out. We were told the total of what we owed but never saw a physical receipt. We split the check and my friend requested a printed receipt for her reference. It was then that we saw they automatically charge an 18% gratuity. Had we known that, we wouldn't have given an extra gratuity on top, especially because service was subpar. I do not recall seeing anywhere that gratuity is added, even on parties of 2. Although I like the food at Lorimar, there are many too many option in the area, I doubt I will return. read more

We visited Lorrimar winery during our recent girls trip. This place is always happening...from great customer service to live music, laughter and dancing. The place was packed as usual. We ordered wine of course along with margherita pizza, wings, burrata cheese plate and sliders. Everything was delish. I visited this winery on several occasions in the past and always have a good time. The winery offers so many areas to relax and chat , there is a tasting room, a mini souvenir/gift shop, live music on the patio and of course beautiful grounds. There are so many wineries to visit in Temecula but this one is a keeper and my personal fav! read more

The perfect place to get away from the heat. Lou and Jeremiah were very friendly and helpful. Lou recommended some lovely bubble for my friend, the raspberry sparkling was a refreshing wine for the summer. The Sauvignon Blanc was just as delicious as always. We stopped by here for lunch rather than doing more wine tasting. They have a beautiful outdoor restaurant in back and they had no wait at 2pm on a Sunday. It was quite full and they had live music. You can order wine flights at the table, bottles or simple glasses. Service was a bit slow but everyone is shorthanded these days. My wife had some kind of hot ham and cheese sandwich with chutney and I opted for a chicken pesto panini. Both were served with fries and were pretty good. Nothing amazing here but a decent price-point for the area and you could not beat the views, music and ambiance. read more

Lou is hands down one of the best wine servers I've come across. What really stood out was his passion. You can tell Lou genuinely enjoys what he does, and it makes the whole experience better. This a Lorimar Restaurant Review. The three of came here for lunch, after reading the positive reviews on Yelp. Their live three member band was settling up and we got ourselves a good seat. As others have noted, time moves slowly here and I think I know why. Most of our fellow dinners were just coming from tours and tastings from inside. Almost all were carrying their three wine goody box, after joining the Lorimar Wine Club, and looking to relax and chill. The band started with a Stones tune and then moved on to George Strait. Nice! They were good and just warming up. So was our food and wine. If you're in a rush to hit several wineries in one day, then you might not understand Lorimar. If you want to sit back and relax, tasting some good wines along the way and listening to the bands rendition of Buffett's Margaritaville... then my friends... you're in for a real treat at Lorimar. Came here on a Saturday for lunch with a reservation, which I'd highly recommend as it was pretty busy. The hostess, who seated us immediately, was lovely. She was really friendly and so kind. Our waited was Jim B. He was great! He was attentive, despite being only one of two servers on duty aka sooo busy, funny, and helpful. They had live music and the guy playing was terrific. He played lots of good songs by artists like Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, and Chris Stapleton. We tried a bottle of the Zinfandel and it was perfect on a hot day. We also tried the fromage, Thai chicken flatbread, and caprese salad. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. read more

Wait time was an hour and I was told it was 45 minutes. Staff was nice. Ambiance was beautiful and lively on a hot Sunday afternoon. The arugula salad was decent, the tomato soup looked like they poured a can of chopped tomatoes in a bowl. It also tasted like it too. My daughters rigatoni and meatballs was something basic and flavorless. Prices are expensive, which is ok if the food was worth it. Zach was our waiter, and he was great! The lemon raspberry cheesecake was delicious. read more

Can we talk about how awesome Lou is in the members lounge? He's always so friendly, hustles hard to keep everyone's glass filled, and tells awesome stories (if you're there at a time when he has a few moments)! We've also had the pleasure of working with Jennifer to plan an event at Lorimar. She made everything so easy, walked through options, and was always quick to respond to any questions we had to prepare us for the day! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, live music outdoors nearly all the time, seating does require reservations though. In a town full of wineries, I feel like Lorimar is a go to for live music! Now onto the wine - honestly hit or miss for me. Sometimes I find myself enjoying every glass in a tasting, other times it's meh depending on the varietals. I always find myself enjoying my time every time I come here though and is definitely worth a stop on your wine adventures! read more

I used to be a fan of this winery, however this past Sunday when we went we were absolutely grossed out by the food we were served, specifically the pesto chicken sandwich. The chicken 100% was old and was not cooked that day. See photo attached. It had hard pieces in it, you couldn't even pull it apart. One of the worst things I have ever been served at a restaurant. Not to mention frozen crinkle cut fries is what this place serves also? And ranch from packages? For the price of food here it's very disappointing. I will not eat here ever again. The server took off the chicken sandwich from our bill but we were not offered anything else for the inconvenience of then going to have to eat elsewhere. We should've at least gotten a discount or a free bottle of wine, come on! read more

I hate giving mediocre ratings... Note: the food comes from food trucks which is then delivered to your table. I was little put off by the crackers wrapped in plastic especially when you're paying for a $33 charcuterie board. Definitely had better at Miramonte and The Wine Cave at Oak Mountain Winery. The Fromage platter was equally unimpressive. My sister in law and niece did not care for their carne asada torta type sandwich and pesto sandwich. I on the other hand, did enjoy their Vineyard Salad with Salmon and the co-habby liked his French Dip. We ordered a bottle of Malbec, 2 carafes of Sangria and 1 bottle of their version of Muscato for my nieces. The Malbec wasn't too dry and had a touch of sweetness. My nieces said the sangria was watered down and I had to agree. Maybe next time we ask for light ice? Music: while I love live music it was so loud that none of us could even carry on a conversation. I felt like we were at a rock concert, lol. I did like some of their song choices and it was entertaining hearing the guy sing his version of I'm Just Girl by Gwen Stefani...interesting rendition to say the least. But if you enjoy kicking up your heels and dancing, this is definitely the place for you! Afterwards, we ended up doing wine tastings...3 tastings total for all of us to sample. They would only give us one glass per tasting because they didn't want us to share amongst each other. So we had to use the same dirty glass with residual wine in each one for the next tasting. This was after we ordered 2 bottles of wine and 2 carafes of sangria during lunch. Quite a difference from Wilson Creek and the other places we've gone too where they put every wine tasting in their own individual glass. Makes sense to not mix wine flavors, right? But I digress. I've been coming here for years with my friends, enjoying the "AMAZING " wine, the beautiful scenery, and the food. My husband and I and my neighbor became members last week, not because of the food or the scenery, but because the Cab Frank and Whitney, she is "FABULOUS ", providing the best customer service, and she's Beautiful and friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting her years ago at her previous place of employment, she was the reason we joined there as well. The food at Lorimar wasn't good at all tonight, but everything else was wonderful. I can't remember the guys name I think it was Jim(if not I'm sorry, drank a lot) that waited on our table, but he was also Fabulous! Established in 2009.

Lorimar's Old Town location was opened in 2009 while the Wine Country property was under construction. In the spring of 2012 Lorimar Vineyards and Winery celebrated with thousands of local residents and guests for the Grand Opening of our second location, an incredible Tuscan style winery in the heart of Temecula Valley Wine Country. Featuring breathtaking views, delicious food & wine, local art and live music. At Lorimar we craft wines that are approachable with a fruit forward style that showcases the strengths of Temecula Wine Country.

There is a partially covered patio. Not ideal if it's a heavy rain. They usually direct visitors to inside tasting room when it rains. Then seating will be more limited.

How much is the tasting?

Their site says $25. I'm a wine club member so I get free glasses.

Do you still have the all you can eat buffet brunch?

We do not have brunch at this time. Thank you.

Do they offer any other drinks options outside of wine on the patio? Such as beer, spirits, or soft drinks (non alcoholic options)?

The walls of shelves showcased many awards and bottles of the wines produced by South Coast Vineyard. From the menu we ordered the prime rib along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Syrah both rated 90 points from wine reviews. After tasting the wines, there was no doubt the wines were very good. The prime ribs were served with mashed potatoes and asparagus tasted surprisingly very flavorful and delicious. Usually a pescatarian dish, but I was really excited to taste their red wines which paired well with the hearty prime rib, and the pairing was palate perfect. Service from the staff, especially the server and the head chef was great. The head chef used work for Lisa Vanderpump and resided in Beverly Hills, so we had that connection and we chatted. I had a wedding a Lorimar this fall. Lorimar is beautiful but they are in a transition with wedding coordinating staff so there are some things to be aware of when planning your wedding there. The wedding lawn, fireplace, ceremony area and bar area are very charming. There is a bridal room for the day of and as far as I know, my vendors had a fine time setting up at the space. The lights that are strung across the reception area make the perfect ambiance. It is a gorgeous venue. There is one huge drawback to doing your wedding at Lorimar and that is that they are one of the only wineries that are open to the public late and they have live music. Unfortunately, Lorimar played a heavy metal band throughout my entire ceremony and reception which was extremely upsetting because this was one of my biggest concerns before signing a contract with Lorimar. Before booking, I made my concerns clear with the wedding coordinator and she assured me that if they book live music on the date of your wedding, it will only be acoustic and it will be down at the barrel room only. I went over this with her numerous times and felt confident that she was telling the truth. However, Lorimar ended up booking a heavy metal band on the day of my wedding that they actually allowed to play during my ceremony and throughout my entire reception. I had to beg them to turn it down for certain events like the father/daughter dance and cake cutting. Even after the begging, they never turned the music down or off and my special events were drowned out by heavy metal. As the bride, I spent about 1 hour of my 3.5 hour reception begging the general manager and my coordinator to turn down the music. That's when I was even able to locate the wedding coordinator. I was very upset and disappointed, especially with the general manager who has no business in a customer service position whatsoever. Make sure you have absolutely every single detail written down in contract form. From the music, to the kids meals, to the security, to the signage and down to where every single item should be placed, make sure it is in contract form. If you discussed that your guests should park in the back parking lot, have it in the contract. If you discussed that the dessert station should be by the cake in the gazebo, put it in the contract. That way your bases are covered if things go wrong like they did for me (again, they are in a transition period and that is important to note). Also, if you have any issues at all, dont bother contacting the owner whose name starts with an M. He will stop responding to you once he realizes that Lorimar actually did mess up. Other than that, it is a gorgeous venue and once they sort out the wedding coordinator staff, I am sure it will be a great venue like it used to be. read more

My wife and I were just recently married at Lorimar on 10/10/14. We found our picture perfect wedding venue at the winery. Living in Los Angeles - we searched far and wide for a winery wedding (Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, Malibu, Temecula, etc) From the moment we first saw the property - we both knew it was perfect. An absolutely gorgeous "tuscan style" tasting room, a breathtaking outdoor vineyard ceremony area - and the perfect market style outdoor - reception area with a stage for live entertainment. My wife and i are both musicians - and love the music theme and focus. We were also blown away by all of the delicious varietals of wine. The 2010 Duet Cabernet / Mourvedre is what sold us! There was no doubt that plenty of time had been taken to ensure that all aesthetics were in place. What really sold us however was the staff. The most gracious, friendly and knowledgeable staff that helped us with every detail of our wedding. Jessica, the wedding coordinator was there with us throughout the process. She was super organized, had amazing follow thru and stayed on top of every aspect of our wedding - from initial planning, handling all of our vendors thru to our big day. We were originally going to hire a day-of wedding coordinator, but Jessica took care of everything. She managed the timing of events, pre-set up - and even reminded our brides maids to fix my beautiful brides dress during the pictures. She really did make our day flow super smooth. Patrick - The GM did an amazing job ensuring that we had everything that we needed. He was hard at work throughout the year and added lots of great details to the venue (an outdoor fireplace, outdoor stage, market lights, etc). We can't say enough wonderful things about the head somm - Penny. Knowledgeable, sweet and fun - she really made so many awesome memories for our big day. We were excited to visit Lorimar Winery as a potential wedding venue, but unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I had been in communication with Jennifer and sent three separate emails between Wednesday and Saturday with no reply to confirm our tour. Despite the lack of response, we decided to show up optimistically in hopes they would be able to accommodate us. When we arrived, we waited for 15 minutes with no acknowledgment beyond the very sweet hostess, who kindly informed us that her manager was on a call and would come speak with us afterward. During that time, a man in a blue shirt--presumably the manager--walked by us twice and then gathered staff for a quick meeting, still without speaking to us. Meanwhile, Jennifer also walked past while conducting another tour, again without ever replying to my emails or acknowledging us in person. The lack of communication from the beginning was frustrating, but the complete disregard once we were physically at the winery was even more disheartening. We left feeling extremely let down by the poor professionalism and lack of basic courtesy. Worst winery of the year. Unbelievably rude management. Had the unpleasant experience of having a run-in with the apparent owner of the winery. After twice asking him to remove his hands I had to forcibly do it for him. I thought I was dealing with a fat, drunk mentally deranged individual. My mistake since I was just dealing with an ass. I have been to this winery many times and know the staff well. My mistake was ignoring him because he didn't have the common sense to identify himself as management. Now that this unpleasantness is over it should be noted that they only have 1 semi-decent wine and that is the Sangiovese. I understand that the board of health closed down what little kitchen service they had at one time, but can't confirm that rumor. The rest of the wine is low to mid level at best. No food, obnoxious bands frequently and the obvious mentally challenged owner. We simply went to the more dignified South Coast and Ponte where our business is appreciated and the wine is hands above Lorimar's poor attempts. Do yourself a favor and avoid this winery. Have some class and go elsewhere. A dog park would be a lot more pleasant. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I had such an amazing experience at Lorimar Winery that I had to take a moment to recognize our incredible server, Jake. From the moment we were seated, Jake made us feel like VIP guests. He greeted us with a warm smile and immediately impressed us with his deep knowledge of the wines. He recommended a red wine that was perfectly tailored to our taste. What really stood out was how attentive Jake was without ever being overbearing. He somehow managed to anticipate our needs before we even asked--refilling water, checking in at just the right times, and ensuring our food order was to our liking. Arriving just before 6 PM on a Friday, we caught Echoes of Cadence setting up, and they ended up being the highlight of the night. Their 80s set was awesome and their performance of What's Love Got to Do with It by Tina Turner was especially impressive. The vocalist hit every note, making it a standout moment. We were quoted a 30 minute wait but were seated in under 20, which gave us time to try a six pour tasting for $25. The white wines were enjoyable but none were particularly memorable. We do not usually gravitate toward sparkling, but the mixed berry sparkling wine was pleasantly sweet and surprisingly good. The red wines were the strongest overall and the most enjoyable. For food, the brussels sprouts were well prepared and flavorful. The charcuterie board, however, fell short. The selection felt standard and did not offer anything distinctive enough to justify the price. Kansas city BBQ event was a blast. Came with a large party that was in town visiting! Staff was more then attentive and accommodating! The BBQ chicken, Tri-tip and ribs were so good! We all were stuffed, between the meat, beans, coleslaw, cornbread and incredible desserts! The band was great! Sitting On the patio next to the wine barrel room, in the vineyards with the summer breezes couldn't have asked for a better feast, service, food, music and weather! We attended this weekend after seeing the winery a few weeks back at their grand opening! Class act all the way and best addition to wine country to date! I went to Lorimar Winery a few weeks ago because it's one of my girlfriend's favorite wineries in Temecula...BUT... The REAL reason I had gone to this winery was to look for a wedding location. I recently got engaged and am very excited to book the perfect venue! I had seen pictures of Lorimar online, and fell IN LOVE. I had really wanted to see what Lorimar had to offer but when asking for their event coordinator, all went downhill from there. A wedding planner should be sweet and hospitable. This woman was not. She was very pretty, but sour and grumpy. She was short when giving me information about the winery and was extremely cold. I WAS going to book a 500 people wedding here, but based on her attitude and lack of information being provided, I decided to look elsewhere. I really liked this venue, but when people are rude? Nice winery in Temecula. One is in the wine country and the other one called"the loft" is in the old town in Temecula and both are nicely decorated. Wine country one had beautiful patio area and have concerts on the weekends. Food is served only on The weekends and they are delicious. One of the owner Mark M. Is always friendly and all the servers are very courteous. Wines are good. I like their Zinfandel which has nice rich tasting.I miss the comfortable couches in one side of tasting room but now they have high tables and metal kind of chairs. Old town is also nice. Servers, Magda and Renee are the best! They are friendly, nice and personable! You should try both places and enjoy the wine. read more

Winery is beautiful. Great views. Originally we were welcomed with open arms and very excited. We came inside and sat down at a table that was about to be cleaned to get a good spot. The waiter Brandon did not like that very much. For what reasons, not sure. The rest of the day he was extremely rude to our group. Avoiding us and taking forever to provide service. I literally never write yelp reviews but since I'm sitting here waiting to be served, it seems I have time. My group did nothing wrong and this guy seems to have an issue with us and is ruining our experience. Hopefully no one else has to deal with this jerk. Our first time in Temecula, we had a lot of fun at this winery. There was live music playing on a Thursday afternoon. We did not do a tasting but had a tasty lunch with drinks. I enjoyed the sauvignon blanc with the fromage plate. My friend, a pinot grigio lover, had the vineyard blend wine recommended by the waitress. The guys had Octoberfest beers and we split a goat cheese and fig flatbread and chicken salad sandwich. All were delicious. The fromage plate was an especially good value with beautifully veined cheeses, grapes, sundried tomatoes, artichokes and an entire sleeve of wheat crackers. We would return in a heart beat. I have been a member at Lorimar for years but not anymore. Seems like they went down hill since they moved to the new facility. They were great in Old Town. Once they moved the service went down the veteran servers are no longer there. Don't know why. The quality of the wine is down and the prices are up. Went by last week end a was SHOCKED AT $18 FOR A TASTE. I believe that is the highest in the valley. We (myself and our guests) were treated terribly. This winery is special. The ambiance is fun and energetic. But my group was still able to just relax and take it all in. It looks massive but owned by two brother in laws so it has a feeling of home and comfort. The wines are probably best in valley. Big smooth reds and really fun white wines! You got to stop by and have a tasting. Ohh also big plus live music Friday and Saturday night and also Sunday afternoon. A beautiful place to make great memories. My boy friend and I went here for Valentines dinner. We were greeted by really nice staffs though we were an hour early just to look around the vineyards. It was beautiful even in the evening with lights hanging over your head. We were served by Dillon the day of who was awesome and coordinated the event with Suzy, without whom the event would not have been possible. The wine was good my fav was the Grenache here. It was 5 tastings here and they had decent wine. The food to me was not that great and overly pricy. I ordered the chicken Caesar and it was very dry and chicken was cooked too long. However, it's very spacious with many seatings and picturesque outside while dining. The ambiance was very nice so that was the best thing going throughout my experience. -Marshay D.

The wine and drinks were refreshing and the service was friendly. Prices were also more affordable compared to the other wineries in the area. The only reason why I docked one star was that we came here during the summer and it was so HOT. All the tables were outdoor so it was difficult to feel comfortable, even though there was some shade cover. An indoor area or tasting room would give this place more business, especially during the scorching summer months. Food is rather limited here as well.

The ssound system was so incredible. Monique Renees Voice is very close to Teena Maries voice. The entire band was amazing. They played every Teena Marie hit to perfection . A true loving Tribute to ""La Dona". My son bought the tickets. knowing how much I love live music and Tina Maries songs. We had a really good lunch here before we started our tasting and little walk about. There were quite a few options for food and I would have loved to try their pizza. We got 6 tasting options and they were great. We ended up leaving with a bottle of OPM sparkling wine (I think it's a sangria), we loved it. It's very spacious inside with quite a few tables so you can eat inside away from the sun and heat. They also had tables outside for bigger parties, and chairs set up along the windows outside overlooking the vineyard. It was gorgeous and we got some nice pictures. Service from everyone who helped us was fantastic! If we lived nearby I think this could become a regular spot.
