Split Burrito hasbrowns bacon and egg... delicioso.

Early one morning, on our way back from Santa Barbara, our two-hour drive had definitely worked up an appetite. Luckily, while charging our vehicle, we stumbled upon this wonderful little café and what a great find it was. If you're stopping to charge, I highly recommend making it an early morning stop so you can enjoy breakfast here. The pancakes were delicious fluffy, buttery, and everything you want in a good stack of pancakes. I was happy, full, and completely satisfied... but I still had my eye on my hubby's breakfast burrito. Thankfully, he was willing to share . I'm so glad he did because it was every bit as delicious as it looked and made the perfect meal for the last 45 minutes of our drive home. Great food, fast and friendly atmosphere, and a pleasant surprise during our trip. Thank you, and we'll definitely be back very soon!

It's been quite a while since my last review of Loru's so it's time to up date. Came with my wife, adult daughter and her dog - so patio was a necessity. Our table was away from any cars so no car smell. They brought a bowl of water for the dog as soon as we were seated. Nice! Three of us shared the chicken fajita omelet ($20) and avocado toast ($14). The omelet was absolutely delicious! The omelet came with a side of macadamia pancakes. Two pancakes, stuffed with macadamia nuts and topped with bananas, whipped cream, and more macadamia nuts - one of the best pancakes I've had in a very long time and it was just a side dish for the terrific omelette. We got the avocado toast with a smoked salmon. (additional $7). Also excellent and that came with curly fries on the side, which were also extremely well done. Excellent service (thank you, Harriet), terrific food at a fair price, and delightful ambience on the patio. Terrific place for Sunday brunch.

Have been here twice. Reviewing this time and it's average. We did come on a Sunday so of course busy. But found service to be nothing ordinary. Needed to get our waiters attention for anything. Asking for water and he had to mention to us he needs to delegate it to the water boy. Food was okay. Mozzarella sticks were hot and fresh. For a Sunday not too bad. Like the location being by the mall. There is a playground to wait at with kids near.

Came here to get a quick bite for breakfast and it did not disappoint. My husband and I shared the chile relleno omelette and it was so flavorful, nothing like we've ever had before. Service was friendly and quick. Ambiance was nice, plenty of tables and chairs, parking is nice and located in the camarillo outlets shopping area. Highly recommend if you want some good comfort food for bfast.

Was out shopping so decided to stop here for breakfast. I checked in on yelp prior to going in so I was seated right away. That part was great since there was a big line of people waiting. It was ok.. I wanted good pancakes and these weren't it! The rosemary potatoes were bomb! Bacon was good too. I'll go back for lunch to try the sandwiches cause they looked great! The menu has lots of options!

Just be mindful that a cup of coffee here is $3.99, I kind of misinterpreted the server asking me "Do you want coffee or orange juice?" when I was first sitting down to mean that it's complimentary. I should have just went with a cup of water honestly. The server could have been more transparent about the pricing with me. It also felt like he was rushing me to leave already even though there were so much open space (and I arrived later than the others around me), but I didn't take his customer service to heart. Thankfully the prices weren't too bad and the meal was pretty great. I was immediately seated for a solo brunch here. The Fall Menu looked very delicious and I went ahead to order the Fall Mini Breakfast, which included eggs, I chose bacon strips (2), and the fall pancakes (2). There was a bit of a wait but that meant the food came out hot and fresh! I found the egg and bacon platter to be cooked very well! Just how I liked them. The bacon was crispy thin and yummy, while the eggs were soft and creamy. The pancakes were also cooked so well! The batter mix was delicious and there was traces of pumpkin with the pancake, and topped with just the right amount of fruits, syrup, and powdered sugar (no additional syrup needed ontop if you ask me). I was super stuffed with this meal that I couldn't finish one pancake.

A nice midsized restaurant located in a strip mall. Very well furnished and pleasant staff. We arrived at opening at 7am and the mall looked closed, but when we entered we were greeted and seated quickly for a saturday. Many breakfast options, which were very sweet and tasty. I had the Loru's combo with bacon and a cinnamon roll french toast (AMAZING) and my wife had the crepe flight. These are very sweet, a little too sweet for my wife, but great food. We also enjoyed the large coffee options. I had a iced vanilla and my wife opted for the excellent cappuccino. A little pricey, but average for the area. Tipping was optional. Bathrooms needed a lot more attention. They were getting worn and needed a deep clean. That was the weak spot and cost them a star. But food and service were top notch.

Today we had to be out of the house due to Edison maintenance in your neighborhood. We were originally headed for Ojai, but we were hungry and didn't want to wait that long to get food. I suggested Waypoint since it was a weekday and hopefully wouldn't be that crowded. We hit them just before a lunch rush came along about 30 minutes later. it's probably been a while, but their ordering procedure has changed since the last time we were there. Now you enter, go to the host stand, and order and pay there. Then they give you a number for your order and a host takes you out to a table. It's a variation on fast casual. The idea is that they will start cooking your food as soon as you pay, and the process will flow smoothly from there. They have a lot of runners bringing out the food, and offering additional condiments or other things you might need, like more water or napkins. There are several reasons that I'm downgrading the rating from a previous visit. $18 for a plain Belgian waffle? No fruit, garnish, whipped cream, just melted butter and a very small amount of syrup. It looked more substantial because we added eggs and bacon for $3 more. The latter seems like a good deal, because the eggs were well prepared. Only two slices of bacon, though. DH and I split the plate. $21 for a plain waffle, scrambled eggs, and two pieces of bacon does seem excessive. We added a side of hash browns, which were plentiful, but were also oily. I don't remember having hash browns in another restaurant which were that greasy, so that was a fail. $9 for two cups of decaf coffee? That also seemed on the high side, especially when a tiny (and I do mean tiny!) addition of oat milk for creamer was $1.50. Really? And yet, they offered mini portions of hazelnut or French vanilla creamer for free. But we didn't know that ahead of time. A large glass of lukewarm pineapple juice was $6. I had to ask for a glass of ice cubes to be able to chill the juice down to where it tasted good. By the way, the waffle was slightly overcooked for my preference, making it more crunchy than I enjoy. Overall, it was $50 for a breakfast that DH and I split, just adding the hash browns and juice to stretch the meal. Service was good. It was the kitchen that let down the team. Also, ambiance-wise, the airport has added a large row of hangars to the northwest of the restaurant, which dramatically cuts down the view of the planes taking off and landing. That's actually another fail for the appeal of dining here. It's likely going to be a while before we return. Sad to report today's experience, but that's what it turned out to be - not the lovely little secret getaway of the past.
