We also shared a side of rice and beans. Pro tip: The rice and beans are awesome to pair with the free chips and salsa (a refill of chips and salsa is $2.50 though). Our massive burritos arrived just minutes later. My shrimp burrito was surprisingly creamy and tangy, almost like you'd expect from an Asian dish of shrimp in coconut milk. The burrito wasn't soggy or anything. I'm just describing the flavor. I loved it! The staff is also very friendly. I lived in St. Helena as a kid and took the bus to Napa to grab some tacos. Moved to Napa and ate here weekly if not multiple times in a week. Fast forward to now and I live in Texas, but every time I visit Napa, I stop by for my favorite tacos. This particular trip was before 11am, but I had to get my taco fix! I always order the same thing. 3 or 4 asada tacos and a Tejava (Mandarin Jarito when there is no Tejava). I have tried other items maybe 10 times, but the tacos are my go-to. In fact, I ordered it so often one of the ladies of the family knew my order and would just ask how many I wanted. After not seeing her there for a while, and then when she returned, after I gave my order she just looked up and said she remembered me (after hearing my order). That's great service! Family operated and it can't get any better. They have a self serve salsa bar with a few types of salsa, radishes, jalapeños, onions, limes, etc. My favorites are the pico and the tomatillo salsa. I dream about it it's so good! Nothing fancy about this place. Just good food and friendly service. Don't get me wrong, it's a very clean restaurant, as well as the restroom. We were looking for an on-site caterer for our daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner and I stopped by Tres Hermanos to try them out. While we have yet to make our final decision, I wanted to share my fantastic experience with this great taqueria. From the beginning, everyone was helpful and friendly. Nancy was very quick to respond to my query and invited me by to try their food. Once there, I met Martin. Martin was very helpful; explaining their menu, showing and sending videos of past events, and generally making sure I had all the information I needed. Martin fixed me a special plate of street tacos, with each of their meat choices (carnitas, Al pastor, pollo, and carne asada). All were good, but the pollo and carne asada stood out for me. Tres Hermanos is an authentic Mexican taqueria. It's not a fancy place, but the food is good and the service fantastic! It is definitely on my list when visiting Napa. read more

First of all this is like my fifth time that I've been at this restaurant. The food is OK not great. Beware of specials, always get a receipt at this place. In my case they had a special for 2 Quesa - Birria tacos - 2 of them and a consome which is a side of broth for 3.95 that was on a picture showing 2 with the price. And when I got charged $13 and change I knew something was wrong for sure. So I asked her to please give me the receipt as a track all my expenses. Long story short, I felt they deliberately were dishonest with me. They did return my money I give them that. But as a consumer I know what I ordered, I've been there many times. This is not acceptable in my opinion I would deter anyone from going to this restaurant. You are better off going to a taco truck it's tastier faster and you don't have to deal with the idea of getting jammed if you're not careful. Any business showing a special with the items and the price next to it, that price should stand regardless. I ordered takeout and when I came to pick up my food the cashier (bigger Mexican lady with good English) was a total b***h! 1) I asked her for extra lids for the salsa bar and she assured me everything is in there. I then noticed I had no red sauce, so I asked her for 1 more lid and she walked over and showed me what she had given me (pico de gallo & green sauce). Front of house is very clean; if you exit (or enter) thru the rear, it's kind of dirty. On a positive note, it's unpretentious, flavorful, and you can watch the FIFA World Cup of Portugal vs. Uruguay, with an enthusiastic audience. Pros- Abundant parking. The salsa bar. I want to like this place, it's fast, the staff is friendly, but they advertise and charge you for ingredients that never make it in the burrito (guacamole). Imagine ordering a chicken burrito with no chicken, this is the problem with the vegetarian burritos when they come with no quac so I'm being charged $12 for rice, beans and cheese. Tres Hermanos has really good fare, we usually get burritos, tacos and nachos. For drinks they have horchata (not whorechata, LOL), fresh squeezed OJ, and other traditional Mexican soft drinks. The tres hermanos who run the place really like soccer and both TVs are usually playing some match. Their meat is really tasty and the prices are reasonable. They are located right next to Kohls on First St. The food here is MUCH better than Don Perico's but not as good as Tacos Michoacan (my preferred Mexican eatery in Napa). I feel that Tacos Michoacan has much better food and this the main reason I give Tres Hermanos 4 stars instead of five. read more

I have no clue where all of the negative reviews come from. My family has been coming here for YEARS and not once have I ever had a bad experience. For those that complain that the staff is "rude": They hardly speak ANY English. It's a genuine, small, family owned restaurant. I wouldn't go there if they spoke fluent English, because then it wouldn't be REAL Mexican. They've always been super nice to me even though I barely speak Spanish myself. While you definitely get a great deal in terms of large items (I had a super burrito), I did not find the food to be very tasty. Have had much better at other taquerias.
