Great service from our sweet waiter (don't remember his name) and good drinks and food even though it was overpriced. The little hostess was very unprofessional when we asked if we could sit somewhere else that wasn't in the sun she told us she had reservations coming in. Eventually we asked our sweet waiter and he said it was fine for us to move. Then the hostess she came over to literally reprimand us after we had already gotten our food and there was still empty in the whole restaurant. Very odd and sort of ruined the experience read more

This was one of the worst places, I have tried. If you have ever seen those "millennial taco places that serve poor food" this is one of those spots. I made a reservation in advance as a celebration for my mother. Food: Do not expect anything traditional or with flavor by any means. I had the Chile relleño, but it was bland, Chile was raw, and not even fried or cooked, they spent more time on presentation than cooking. My mother had the Alambre (fancy name for fajitas) no sizzle and the meat was heavily undercooked and chewy and covered in cheese, tortillas were also raw you could taste the masa grain. Even my girlfriend's enchiladas de mole were bad, they used a tomato base instead of a traditional Chile base and were also bland. Service: Our server was doing his best and I commend him very well as I have been in his shoes before. However, the hostess was dressed fairly inappropriately for the location and the manager spent more time on his phone than on the floor. We were served our appetizer, dinner, and chips but never were given napkins or silverware until I had to ask the Server's assistant to bring some for all 3 of us. Mind you we were in perfect view of the manager yet his phone was more important. If this is what Napa Awards "Best of 2024", you might as well go to a different city for food. Great place and great vibe, very quick and efficient service, we were seated immediately and drinks came very fast, I order a jarritos and they gave me a glass with is to pour it in a dwheb I had emptied the bottle k didn't even have to say anything they came by and took the empty bottle away, chips for our chips and salsa kept coming as we ran out, and not to mention the mole enchiladas were fantastic. Really wanted to try this place out. Weather was perfect so I got seated outside. Water, chips and salsa were delivered promptly. Then I waited. I was the only one outside. Another couple was seated waiting for a party of 6. Me, waiting. Another lovely lady was seated. Still waiting. Both parties were waited on and drinks served. I still hadn't ordered a drink. Decided that it was not worth it for me to keep waiting anymore. Mind you, it wasn't over 20 minutes, but the fact that everyone else was waited on beside me, the only one at my table, was ridiculous. Place is nice, food looked great. Stopped here after walking to downtown from my house - always a pleasure. I ordered the al pastor tacos and snacked on a bunch of chips and salsa (super addicting and so darn good which I don't say about everybody). The al pastor tacos have so much flavor and are my favorite item to order from the menu. The beans and rice are okay, however. My boyfriend ordered the birria tacos and they were soooo good as always, wish I could indulge in these just like he can, but I am dairy free - still opt in for a few bites depending on how much my body can tolerate. Well, this might be my favorite place in Napa - right up there with Morimoto's. First off, we definitely hit the Los Cocteles menu. Carlos and Juan took great care of us. I need to get an updated drink menu so bear with me - we had something red (I think La Rosa), we had the La Toxica which is a fantastic drink but exceptionally bad branding and Los Agaves...their bar and cocteles scene is off the charts. Carlos mentioned they were making their green mole special through Sunday so we went back and I had it on top of chicken and carnitas enchiladas - best Mexican food I've ever had. The mole was the bomb, the carnitas fantastic, chicken well seasoned, and fantastic beans and rice which are often "throwaway" sides at most restaurants. I will definitely be back to eat my my through their menu. Just a perfect experience! read more

Ordered Quesabirria tacos with consome, birria burrito and carne asada tacos. Started with the Quesabirria tacos. They were seasoned perfectly. Instead of just red onion there was also carmalized peppers inside. Perfection. The consome was also yummy. No oil along the sides. I am so impressed by the level of service and the quality of food and drinks. We visited on a Friday evening and were greeted right away. We sat down and immediately had a wonderful server take out drink orders. We had the queso fundido to start and the Agave margarita. They were so good and flavorful. My husband had the Al pastor tacos and I had the tostadas. The server brought our food and drinks promptly and gave us time to relax. We requested the habanero sauce and they brought it right away. We also had our water and drinks refreshed before we needed. I eat out every weekend and this service and quality was exceptional. We will be back for sure. read more

It was our anniversary weekend, and we didn't have the best experience here. Wasn't even able to try the food. A local recommended this place, and we made reservations for 2. We were seated quickly but at a pretty lousy table right next to the door. It was cold and rainy outside. We asked if another table was available and were immediately told that the other tables were for 4 people and it wasn't possible. We started with a tequila tasting and our server Rodolfo (an absolute legend) was exceptionally at explaining each bottle to us. The ceviche was off the charts as well! When it cooled down it was a challenge to get it on a chip....but still who doesn't love cheese! I got the burrito and presentation had me salivating. Taste did not disappoint but I was filling up so only consumed half. For dessert we split the mango cheesecake and that was quite yummy. We ordered the veggie burrito and guacamole, along with vegetarian tacos and decided to sit outside in the patio which I was a lot of fun! I highly recommend this restaurant given friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere with comfortable seating, and excellent food overall. One area where I would say there could be room for improvement would be the guacamole, while they used plenty of avocados, I thought the guacamole was lacking a bit in flavor and would benefit with the addition of more salt and maybe even some spices. read more

Service was attentive. The guac and queso fondito are a must if you're looking for an app. My only suggestion is to stick to the menu. 2 of the four people with me ordered off the menu. The beef quesadillas were melting in your mouth ah-mazing. The shrimp tacos were more like a torta than a taco but still worth the price point. Ordered $17 guacamole which was served in a tiny bowl and hardly served the two of us. The quesabirras were dripping with fat and the shredded beef inside was tasteless. Beef broth was nothing but fat. No salt on the table and all the entrees needed salt. Poblano enchiladas were also tasteless. Margaritas at $17 each didn't have real lime juice. Bill was $160 to add insult to injury. Not going back anytime soon. read more
