    Chicharron ranchero

My husband and I decided to check out Las Teresita's for breakfast and arrived 15 minutes after they opened. I think we might have been the first diners of the day, but others started coming in near the end of our meal. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and quick. We really enjoyed the everything we ordered as well. My husband ordered the huevos rancheros with bacon plate (not pictured) and I ordered a fideo loco and 2 breakfast tacos, the chicharron ranchero and the chorizo & papa. We both ordered cafe de olla. All the food was delicious and I loved their flour tortillas which were so soft and seemed thicker than the usual flour tortillas served in some places. The corn tortillas were also soft and thicker than average. We're definitely coming back again soon!

Ordered a complete Barbacoa breakfast kit via Grubhub for a Sunday morning and it was great. This would be the perfect meal to get for people visiting San Antonio for the first time. Everything was presented very neatly. I was so hungry that I didn't take a picture of all the containers but I did take a photo of my meal. Can't speak to the service but again, they clearly put together everything very nearly and professionally. Really would be good to order for guests. Also can't speak to ambiance since again I got this delivered.

Café de olla Food and service is amazing!!!

Food and service are amazing!!! Everything is homemade. They have traditional cafe de olla.

Always great food! Probably some of the best tasting enchiladas. Not the kind that the cheese gets hard when they start cooling. Enchilada gravy is always so delicious! Rice, beans and tortillas are always freshly made and very good. This place deserves to be recognized and should be busy everyday of the week.

Amazing and wallet friendly. We go every week. I love that they carry Coke Zero. They have about 2 plates on special daily

This building has been a hundred different things since I've lived here but I'm hopeful this business will stay. Authentic Mexican and very fresh. I've had the breakfast tacos, tortilla soup, guacamole and enchiladas. All have been excellent. My favorite so far has been the tortilla soup. There are big chunks of fresh veggies and nice big chunks of white meat chicken. They have excellent lunch specials that won't leave you hungry. Prices are super affordable and the staff has always been attentive and kind.

Quiet place, good tacos: bean and cheese chorizo bean and barbacoa. Good customer service and attentive.

The food was delicious and the wait staff were attentive and kind. I liked the selections of specials that were available each day of the week. Prices were great for the quantity of food too!

I decided to stay in the city longer to check out this place. This restaurant is huge and the wait was 45 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. We used our waiting time to stroll through the Mercado across the way. Once the table was ready, my friend got a text. I always wanted to try menudo every Mexican restaurant I go to. But not until I saw the sign on the back cover. This restaurant is under the same owner as Pico de Gallo. Omg. I just had their menudo the day before. No thanks. I decided to order fajita chicken salad. The portion was really small. The food only filled a half of the fried salad bowl. I asked to put cheese on the side. It may had it look more but I don't eat cheese as much. I was glad that dressing was on the side. Which was too salty for me. So, if the food was the same as other chain, we could have eaten there which was closer to the hotel. But I noticed the difference was the servers. Our waitress was cuter and very polite. My friends kept teasing her. She kept good manner and responded back with a smile "uhhh no". Hahaha.

The hostess was a little drab but as I was walked in to be seated, you could feel the upbeat mood. Note that if you're dining solo, they will push hard to seat you at a dark diner type counter to stare at the kitchen area even if you have a reservation, so don't give in unless you're starving and that's your last resort. The colorful decor hits you and you're transported. I ordered the "Mexican Dinner" with chicken enchilada, pork tamal, beef taco with beans and rice. Also had a side order of fresh handmade tortillas. Paloma to wash it all down. Everything tasted great. My server was excellent. Patient and helpful with recommendations. The mariachi band was fun and they roamed the restaurant and bar to play, so chances are that if they aren't singing at your table then they're nearby.

Our waiter checked on us a lot and was very knowledgeable about food allergies and substitutions. Our drinks and meal came out fairly quick. The guac and chips are yummy. The guac was creamy but does have a spicy kick to it. I also tried the cucumber agua fresca. So refreshing and light. For the meal I had the Baja fish tacos. It doesn't come with a side but it does have 3 very filling tacos. It was grilled halibut, pico, romaine lettuce, guacamole and Baja sauce. It was delicious and very flavorful. It needed a spicier sauce but deff would go back for this.

Cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and love the pickled onions and lime on the side. My husband ordered the old fashioned, which he liked. I got the mezcal spritz which was 10/10 (and huge). We couldn't decide on desserts and decided to split the cheesecake and churro waffle. They ran out of cheesecake so they gave us tres leches as a substitute--as a huge tres leches fan, this was even better. Both desserts were outstanding. 10/10 will be back if visiting San Antonio again Service was also exceptional--ask for Theresa!! Love the setting, definitely sit outside if you can! Sitting by the river is super scenic and romantic.

There's such a wonderful selection, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. As parents with notoriously picky eaters, we especially appreciate how accommodating the staff is - it's such a relief to know that our kids can also find something yummy with just a quick chat with the staff member. That really makes a difference for a family outing! And oh my goodness, the appetizers are simply fantastic. We couldn't get enough! I also have to give a special shout-out to the Carrajillo I ordered. It was such a delightful surprise - perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, with a lovely citrusy kick that made it incredibly refreshing. Definitely a new favorite drink! We're already looking forward to our next visit to explore more of amazing menu. Just a little heads-up for anyone else, we realized on our way out that there's an extra parking lot right across the street if the main one fills up. Super handy to know!

It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.
