Excellent food and great service. Very patient with the gringos. Tacos were great, cuban and the rice and beans. Highly recommend.

The food here is very authentic. It's almost as if you got a home cooked meal. It's amazing. It's very filling. And it's delicious

Well, they've earned their rating with good reason!…read more A friend and I went on a bit of an unplanned adventure yesterday as the first place we were going to go to was closed for an event. After driving 30 minutes to that place in Plant City and realizing this, we decided, "why not drive some more?". Josephine's was on my radar due to their great reviews across multiple platforms, so we drove another 20-30 minutes to check it out. We arrived at the unsuspecting strip plaza, walked in to what was just one well lit, cozy strip in the plaza and were immediately greeted by Robby, the owner, who asked us if it was our first time in. We let him know that it was, and he proceeded to educate us on everything they have to offer, from their bar, their sandwiches, pizzas, salads, pastas, grocery and so on... the meatball sandwich was calling my name, along with their pizzas and their pastas - so many choices! I did land on the meatball sandwich and got a bag of chips and a glass of wine while my friend got the Italian salad and a coke. For note, this ran us about $45. It was well worth it. The meatball sandwich was 10" and was stuffed with fully ground beef meatballs, seasoned well and very cheesy - so good. I tasted the salad and it was great as well, with plenty of parmesan cheese to cover up the taste of leaves that I was consuming (I'm not a vegetables guy still). While we were dining at the bar, Robby took a bit more time to tell us how the store came to be, being named after his grandmother who, though she wasn't around to see what he had started, would no doubt be very proud as his/his employee service was excellent and the food was no different. At the end of our experience, Robby took our payment and we explored the store a bit. Robby was kind enough to offer me two of their mini cannolis and my friend a scoop of their salted caramel gelato on the house as a way of saying thank you for coming in; again, EXCELLENT service. Since leaving there yesterday, I have recommended the place to 7 people and will continue recommending it to more people due to their great value, service and delicious food. Huge thanks to Robby and the team at Josephine's for knowing how to do things the right way. I'll definitely be back.

Then the counter person told me that I was getting the two slice/Drink special. Yay. Not exactly what I ordered but I rolled with it. For a Friday late afternoon the place was not busy, but started to get busy before I left. Notes on the pizza: Sauce tastes more like tomato paste and less like sauce. Cheese was melted but could have used better coverage. Crust was good but oily, not sure what that's about. If they used a less pasty sauce and a little more cheese coverage it might serve them well. It is a solid crust. Notes on the salad Salad was loaded with cheese! Veggies were fresh and dressing is fine. Herbs were overloaded a bit, but were fresh. Plenty of meat in the salad as well. All in all not bad. The staff is super nice. I'll be back and maybe will try a sandwich next time.

If you're looking for legit wood-fired pizza in Brandon, Pizza Rock is absolutely worth a stop. I…read moreordered The Butcher's Pizza and the first thing that stood out was the crust--crispy on the bottom, chewy in the right way, and cooked perfectly. They're using a New York-built wood-fired oven with a rotating turntable, so the pizza is constantly moving while it cooks, and you can taste the difference. The cheese melts evenly, the edges get that beautiful fire-kissed char, and the whole pie has that true fire-roasted flavor. The experience inside was just as good as the food. The restaurant is extremely clean, there's a ton of space (great for families or groups), and the staff was super friendly. They took time to talk with me and shared the Brandon location opened in 2018, and that they had to complete special training/certifications to even qualify to buy and operate that oven. You can tell it's a family-run business with real pride and passion behind what they're doing. Even the pizza box is a cool touch--nice branding and attention to detail. Only small critique: I just wish The Butcher's Pizza had a little more topping coverage. Flavor was great just could've used a bit more "loaded" factor for a butcher-style pie. Overall: solid pizza, amazing crust, great people, and a clean, welcoming spot. I'll definitely be back.

Scathing Review: Brocato's Sandwich Shop - Filthy, Rude, and Completely Incompetent…read more 0/5 - Biohazard with Terrible Service. Do Not Visit. I recently made the mistake of choosing Brocato's Sandwich Shop at 5021 E Columbus Dr, Tampa, FL 33619, for a quick meal. What should have been a simple, efficient curbside pickup turned into an hour-long nightmare of filth, lies, and rude staff. We placed our order 40 minutes ahead of schedule and paid in full upfront specifically because we were on a tight timeline. We received a notification that our food was ready. We arrived right on time, only to be told it wasn't prepared yet. We ended up waiting another 20 minutes -- a full hour total -- just for basic sandwiches. No apology, no explanation, and no urgency from the staff whatsoever. While we waited, the disgusting conditions of the place became impossible to ignore. The floors were sticky and filthy, tables had old food crust and smears, and I watched employees use the same dirty rag on the floor, tables, and food prep areas. The menus were greasy and stained. The bathrooms were straight-up revolting -- uncleaned toilets, nasty sinks, and no soap. The food finally arrived lukewarm and sloppy. The Cuban sandwich was soggy with questionable meat, and one item had what looked like a hair in it. When we politely pointed it out, the staff rolled their eyes, muttered about picky customers, and the manager (or whoever was in charge) shrugged it off with a rude "What do you want me to do?" attitude and zero accountability. Customer Safety Warning:This place is a serious health hazard. Between the visible grime, cross-contamination, poor hygiene, and total disregard for basic cleanliness, you're risking foodborne illness. If you have kids, are elderly, or have any health concerns, stay far away. Combined with the incompetent service and long unnecessary waits, it's not worth the risk to your health or your time. Brocato's has apparently fallen far from whatever reputation it once had. The combination of disgusting conditions, rude staff, and complete failure on a simple prepaid, timed order makes this one of the worst experiences I've had. I will never return and strongly advise everyone else to avoid it completely. There are plenty of cleaner, faster, and more respectful places in Tampa for sandwiches. Avoid at all costs. Save your money, your stomach, and your sanity.
