We started with a really great two cheese crostini which was delicious. I paired that with a rye old fashioned (or two) and that drink really hit the spot. For my entree I had a meatball hero which was just as delicious the next day when I had the second half for lunch. The portion was huge and I loved the meatballs and the sauce. For dessert we had a cheesecake with a house made pistachio creme which was amazing. We had a chance to talk to Tim who I believe owns the place and we asked him about a sign we saw on the westside at Innovation Studios for a Rebellion Gastropub. He says he hopes to have that open early in the new year so we can't wait to try that out as well, especially since it's only a five minute drive. But it's worth a 20 minute drive or more to visit Rebellion and we'll definitely be back.

Our food was much better this time and now I understand why people like it. Our server Greg was great so he helped make the evening terrific as well. We started with cocktails (my Curious George was delicious) and had some appetizers....heirloom tomatoes, corn fritters and duck croquettes. Everything was delicious, with the duck croquettes a particular standout. For my meal, I had a salmon bowl with rice. It was so good. I liked how the salmon was in small pieces rather than just a big slab on top of rice. The great thing was that the smaller pieces were cooked wonderfully. I think it would be easy to overcook pieces that size but they were perfectly crispy on the outside but moist and flavorful inside. I think my mistake the first time was ordering steak so I'm glad we went back. We'll definitely return.
