The packaging everything came in was neat and well prepared; it came with tortillas wrapped in tin foil, fresh tortilla chips, and a generous amount of yummy salsa. I got the Cabos Special (Carnes Asada and Grilled Chicken with rice, beans, and pico de gallo) for the first time, and it was delicious! Everything was still very hot when it got to my house. Stopped in last Friday to place an order to go around 8 pm. 8 people (4 couples) came in after me and were immediately seated. I was left waiting to place my order at the front counter without any one from Los Cabos acknowledging me. After I saw people just arriving being seated immediately, I left. I had waited for 10 minutes with no service. It was like I was invisible. I left the menu open on the counter by the cash register and walked out. We went to Los Cabos because so many of the reviews were raves. But there were a couple reviews that almost stopped us. The review including photo of bug in the food -- that might be acceptable if they served Hormigas Culonas, or Chapulines! And that chap Ed who spotted the papers in the cornchip baskets being re-used and wondered what else on the table had already been eaten off of. Well, the majority love the place, and I figure some people are just crabby by nature and if something goes wrong they have to make a big stink about it. Mistakes can happen anywhere, and one horrible moment needn't define a place. But as you can see it was with a tiny bit of trepidation we set foot in Los Cabos. We only get lacto-ovo vegetarian stuff. A reasonably priced combination plate was HUGE, though it did all fit in my belly I must admit. And it was so damned good! We almost felt bad because we already have a favorite Mexican place, and the chili relleno w/cheese was not merely just as good as at our favorite place, but better. We now HAVE to come often to work our way through the menu trying everything meatless. More dessert options than usual, but I stuck with my favorite flan, which was a bit different from the norm and very good. My sweetie had the fried ice cream, which I tasted, and they got that just right. In all, we're headed back very soon, as we cant' wait to try the specialities instead of the standard combo plates we ordered our first time. Oh, one thing many yelpers seem to agree about whether they think it's a good thing or a demerit, is this is "standard americanized" Mexican food; but I think their agreement on that could be somewhat misplaced. Mild Mexican does occur in Mexico, especially if you get beyond the border regions where tourists are provided extra-hot meals because of expectation, not because that's the only way it's authentic. I found the chile relleno quite distinct and not "the usual" at all, so I can believe that some of these recipes are "authentic...from various regions in Mexico" just as the restaurant promises on their website. But either way, it's really good food. This place is also a sports bar. I've no interest in that. But it's not loud, and easy to ignore that component. But for sports fans, the tv screens are huge. And surprise-surprise we actually did end up at a table near the screen because there was women's boxing -- that was more interesting than I could've predicted. ---- UPDATED: On our second journey to Los Cabos we got stuff off the vegetarian entrees list rather than sticking to our usual Mexican favorites. Well, these dishes were good but not as good as items we decided decades ago were our faves and which we more commonly adhere to. I adore flan but I stretched my conservative choices again and got the "milk cake" and oh my was that a superb dessert. I don't drink alcohol, but my sweetie got a margarita and I tasted it. It was damned good! I could for a rare moment understand why people like booze, this was like a candy drink. I'm still not gonna start drinking after reaching old age never having done so though. Fun as it was, I'm nevertheless redicing my previous five-star review to four-stars because this time I saw what one whiner and complainer was on about regarding a mere glass of water. The water tasted "weird," and when I looked closely, the water had flakes of black crud floating around in the bottom! I couldn't drink any of it and was so gosh-awful thirsty when we left, we went to the supermarket and I spent like $70 stocking up on things to drink (first time I ever went shopping thirsty!). So okay, okay, everything I said about whiners and complainers and people in bad moods, I may have over-reached, as anyone displeased with filth in their waterglass isn't exaggerating. I still don't want to say it's a bad place cuz of that one thing, as the food's pretty darned good, but we ARE back to our former favorite place which never gave us funny-tasting dirty water. I bet we'll still drop into Los Cabos at longer intervals though for their chili relleno which seems a unique recipe. They've got to do something about their plumbing though if crusty black bits and foul taste is coming from the tap. read more

This is probably some of the worst food I've had in the last few years. Service was okay. But the food was inedible. My enchiladas was the worst plate on the table and the smell was repulsive. I ate a few bites of rice and beans from the sides and pushed it off to be picked up by the server. Sometimes you have to chalk it up to different palates or a bad night for the kitchen but this was so far off the mark that I wonder how they're still in business. It hurt my heart having to pay that bill knowing I was going home to make a PB&J. Go someplace else. read more

Discovered they re-use the paper in the tortilla chip basket who knows how many times. Not very sanitary! Lime wedge in my margarita was half rotten. The owner claimed "I don't care" with a rather smug and indignant shrug of his shoulders. We won't be going back. read more

We were seated right away and brought chips, salsa and cheesy refried beans. The salsa and beans were delicious!!! We ordered the seafood chimichanga, veggie burrito, bean and cheese burrito and the trio enchiladas plate. When our food was served our server let us know the plates were very hot and boy were they! The food must have been sitting under the heat lamps for awhile. The food was good but I was disappointed in the seafood chimichanga. The seafood consisted of shrimp, fish and real crab and seemed like it was put in a food processor with no seasoning...bland! A plus was our server. Now let me start by saying me and my girlfriend love coming here and are regulars here, food is great and fairly cheap. My only complaint is that tonight we were seated served chips, salsa and beans, but never got our drink order taken. We knew what we wanted so we set our menus at the end of the table hoping to have our orders taken. The server walked back and forth past our table about 5 times glancing over every time( still no drinks btw, not even water) On the 6th pass I had to actually stop the server and tell her we were ready to order, unfortunately this happens more often then not here. Although I did only see 2 servers so I understand they were busy, but if your so understaffed that we can't even get our water Then they need to hire some more help. This is standard mexican fare. I did find the salsa to be above average, lots of onions. I love when places give you bean dip as well. There are some veggie options. Fajitas were good. There was something on the menu about charging extra for the 3rd soda refill which I thought was a bit odd. However my friend did get avocado slices and was not charged, but this could have been a mistake. Prices were a bit high. read more

This will be our new joint to frequent when we need Mexican food. We didn't wait long at all to be seated, especially since we were in at 2PM on a Thursday. We didn't have to wait for our food either! The salsa was so fresh, the beans were yummy. We both got beer, and of course they had Mexican beers! We both got quesadillas, and they're so cheesy and good. Their rice is good too. We finished the meal with churros, which were of course exactly how they're supposed to be. Fresh, authentic mexican food. Finally decided to try this place after being disappointed by almost every other mexican restaurant in the area, and i was pleasantly surprised! The food was fresh, had a good flavor, and the service was excellent. I even found my tortillas on my enchilada and tostada tasted home made and freshly made. I have placed 4 separate orders through Door Dash on four separation occasion over the last three months ordering various meals from this restaurant. Only the first order was correct. Considering the markup (11.00 service fee on my last order) I would except better quality assurance before the order was given to the Door Dasher. Items have been missing, orders have been incorrect and now I sit with a meatless taco in front of me. No, I did not want a meatless taco and when I called to request a refund I was offered %50 off my next meal. There are at least six other Mexican restaurants in my area to order from so I and again requested a refund. The person who answered the phone said, "sorry" and hung up the phone. For 36.66 you too can have three meatless tacos and one chimichanga. Granted the chimichanga was great but the meal was incomplete. Over the years I have enjoyed several meals here, but I think this will be the last time I attempt to order food from this location. read more

I always save the little coupons they have on the back of receipts for this place, and it makes me feel better about ordering a margarita (not that they're really expensive, but then I can order 2!) The margaritas are just ok, but the more you drink, the better they get ;) I love that they bring out fresh chips, salsa and beans when you sit down and they're tasty. I have only ordered 2 things here, but have returned to get the same 2 things again they were so good the first time. The ceviche (I have had ceviche wherever I can get it, most of the time finding myself disappointed) is delicious, although a bit pricey for just one serving? And my husband and I always get the Fajita Fiesta for 2. My husband is a big eater, especially when it comes to Mexican food when he never seems to have enough, but we Always take home leftovers of the Fajita platter. It's a nice mix of everything since we're horrible at deciding if we want steak or shrimp or chicken, and this has all 3 and it's only $20 for the meal (compared to their other combos, it seems like the best deal and cheapest way for 2 people to get a combo platter). The server was nice....When we walked in the place smelled of bbq meat and had smoke in the building not heavy but enough to see it. We sat down and they brought out the chips salsa and bean dip which was a nice free treat. The salsa was amazing! Unfortunately that was the only good part about our meal. We ordered a side of guacamole and it was awful tasted like cheap store bought crap. I had the beef asada burrito and my dad had 2 tacos on shredded beef and one chicken. The food came out within reasonable time and LOOKED great but did not taste great. My dad said the shredded beef taco was pretty good but the chicken taco was mushy....taco shells should not be mushy. My burrito was massive so I cut into it and was very disappointed....it was plated on top of what looked like salsa? It tasted like cheap store bought jar salsa and had a weird taste would have preferred the salsa that came with the chips but oh well. Inside the burrito there was very little meat and large quantities of rice and beans...so I just found the pieces of meat and ate those I didn't want to be full on just rice and beans when I ordered a BEEF asada burrito. The price was pretty cheap but I would recommend not coming here for the food. I am from southern California so I have pretty reasonable expectations for tasty Mexican food and this place fell far below sub par. read more

I ordered Los Cabos via DoorDash. I put special instructions on my order, as I have allergies to several of the ingredients. When the delivery arrived, I only received one of the two items I ordered. Los Cabos ignored all of the special instructions on that one item. The second item was completely wrong-- I ordered a fajita & received a quesadilla. Additionally, they had included all the elements I requested removed from the fajita in the quesadilla. Could not eat any of the food & manager would not give me a refund. I vascillate between Bremerton having two 3-star restaurants, 1-4 star and 1-5 star.. Or just one 3-star, too. This is the place which is the cause of vascillation. It's a pretty generic sit-down Mexican place, the chips are decent, but the salsa is watery and the steak, in what's supposedly a steak grill, is decidedly dry. I'd make it another "Meh two star" in Bremerton except that the rice and chips are good and if you dump enough hot sauce in the salsa then it's a solid accompaniment. It's certrainly the fourth best restaurant in Bremerton, so it deserves about a 2.5 star.. I'll call it a three to be generous. read more
