We come here for the lunch buffet. A good variety of everything from enchiladas to burritos, tamales to make your own tacos and fajitas. Lots of sauces on the bar, and now there is cheese dip too. A great value and we always leave stuffed. Servers are always nice and there is always lots of traditional music being played over the sound system, sometimes it's just a bit louder than I would like, but that's ok. Did not except Mexican food on New Years Eve in South Carolina but this is where we ended up and it did not disappoint. The salsa bar was amazing, shrimp tacos were very good but the chili relleno was on point! Felt like we were back in California. We will be back for sure. read more

After many hours of being hungry and shopping my mom and I finally decided to stop and eat. After a quick Google search of best Mexican restaurants Los Cabos popped up. Upon pulling up my mom and I were not sure if they were open as there were no cars in the parking lot. The open sign was on and flashing on the building, so we decided to go in. We were warmly welcomed by the host and quickly sat down. Our waiter was nice and patient as we took a few minutes to decide what to order. Their menu has a great selection of steak, chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian items; as well as drinks. Half of their drink menu is dedicated to tequila shots. My mom got the pick two with a chicken enchilada and a chicken taco. I got the pick two as well with a cheese enchilada and a chicken taco. We waited a little while for our food, but while we did we munched on their tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was a little bland, but it was good. I liked that the chips were light and crispy. Our food came and we got right to it. We noticed right away that the food did not have a lot of spice or umph. It was good, but not what we were expecting when it came to Mexican food--it just was not there. It was very plain. So plain to the point that we had to order tomatoes, onions, and cilantro for our food as none of the items had any of them. I may try again, but I definitely will need to bring my own spices if I do. read more

Horrible. The drinks (Mojito and Michalada) were disgusting. I ordered the cheese enchiladas and they were smothered with some type of brown sauce and you couldn't even taste the cheese. The refried beans were runny and had no flavor. The chips were cold and tasted like they had been out all day. Queso was bland and tasted like it came out of a can. My friend ordered 4 tacos and barely ate two. They asked if we wanted a to go box and we said, NO! I do have to say the facility was clean but it was dark in there you couldn't even read the menu. First Time visiting and found very cute decor, quiet, and friendly staff. The food was just ok while the soft tacos had a gummy like a potsticker which was kind of odd. The beans had an odd consistency very dry and dense. The hard tacos were good but a little pricey for 2 tacos and rice & beans $12. I might try again and order something different. I ordered the lunch special (not buffet) chicken taco. My chicken taco had plenty of chicken but, had no flavor whatsoever ever not even salt and pepper. Decided to delivery order from here while vacation in the area. Pretty disappointed with the food quality. My delivery driver took roughly 6 mins from leaving the restaurant to it arriving at my door, so it was as fresh as the restaurant could have made it. I got the nachos, but they were submerged in 3/4 cup of milky liquid, and it was more of a roughly blended nacho smoothie than nachos. I also got the churros, which were extremely hard and tasted freezer burnt (but the sprinkles were a nice touch, I guess?). I give 2 stars instead of one because when I called the restaurant to inquire about the mysterious soup they sent me, they were genuinely sorry and offered to replace it (I did decline though, I just wanted to let them know). So excited to have found this new gem in Surfside. It used to be a Japanese restaurant but now the décor has turned to Mexican and I hope it stays. We arrived around 3ish and we were the only ones there but it started to fill in as we got towards dinner. They have a daily Happy Hour so we were able to take advantage of that for our second drink. We were greeted right away and our server brought us fresh chips and salsa. SO good. I ordered a jalapeno margarita and it was well made and pretty much contained a whole jalapeno which I enjoyed. For the meal I wanted shrimp so I got a shrimp quesadilla and a side of rice. It was very yummy and filling. The shrimp was well cooked and had good flavor.
