I read the previous reviews and thought there were many that approved of this place so we'd give it a try. When we arrived there was a small line but the four of us were seated right away. They gave us menus but it was about 15 min before they brought us any water or chips and dip. The first basket of chips was pretty skimpy and we noticed on the menu that we would be charged for additional baskets of chips. When our waiter finally came we explained that this basket was lean and didn't want to be charged for chips and he ended up bringing us three baskets no extra charge. We ordered the marinated pork burrito, tostada, taquitos. The meal was edible but no flavor. Definitely didn't feel home made or prepared onsite. It also took about 30 min to get our meals. We love Mexican food. It won't be back to this one. On the plus side the waiter and hostess were friendly but it took too long to get just a mediocre meal. read more

Don't miss this little hole in the wall taqueria!!! After reading reviews on Yelp, we decided to eat dinner here. We enjoyed salmon tacos with caso fresco as an addition to the tacos. Located at end of liquor stores and laundry mat adjacent to CVS. Pork (carnitas) tacos were good too! read more

We thought that the food was pretty average and the service was very good. After reading all of the yelp reviews we had high expectations. Unfortunately, we felt like the food was pretty average. The ceviche tostada was good but did not stand out from others I had before. The chile relleno was not really good at all-very spongey outside and just not a good texture. My boyfriend got the spicy shrimp dish (i forget the exact name) and that was also just okay. I'm not sure what the allure is with this place. The food had no taste at all. The service was poor yet people were waiting outside. My wife ordered the enchiladas with mole sauce. That came with a red sauce (ugh). My steak taco had 'zero' flavor. With that in mind, I would never come back. read more

A go-to place for me and my spouse; we're never disappointed in the food and the service is good, too. Plus it is one of the best values in the area. A lot of people like this place, so just be sure to get there early for lunch or all the tables will be occupied and you may be out of luck if you can't wait around. Based on Yelp reviews we decided to try this restaurant for lunch on a Thursday afternoon about 12:30. The wait was out the door! If you are in a hurry to eat, go elsewhere, otherwise get comfortable and wait for a table. At 2:30 there was still a wait. It will be worth it! This restaurant is a table service kind of place but they don't accept credit cards. Come with cash. I had the vegetarian burrito, which was delicious. I have never had a burrito with lettuce in it, but it makes the burrito very light. The tortilla it came in was amazingly good. My husband had the steak burrito, wet, which he said was good. He isn't sure if he would have the steak again or not. I had a diet coke, which comes in a can, and my husband had water. We were served chips and salsa when we were seated.They were very good as well. Our servers were very attentive and the food came out quickly. We would definitely eat here again. read more

Food was OK, nothing spectacular. Food items can be ordered A La Carte and so it seems you are saving money. However, 1 tiny fish taco will not constitute a meal thus you will end up ordering two or three at approx $3.00 each. Cash or check only. Service was poor. The waiter did not bring us water or silverware, I had to grab additional forks from a nearby table and serve my family water. However, expect to pay $10 gratuity charge for a family of six, even if the service is not deserving of it. We will never come back. read more

this is my wife's favorite place in Fort Bragg, once a week is normal for us and the wet burrito with either pork or chicken is what we get. eat there if you can get a table or take it is great too. best in town read more

This is one of those "gems". We arrived at this hole in the wall and saw people waiting to get in. We contemplated leaving, but a local lady who was also waiting said it was worth the wait, also informing us that they would soon move into their new location. We got a table fairly quickly. There are not a lot of choices, but that's fine with me. I ordered a chili verde wet burrito and chili rellano, wife ordered beef of the same, daughter ordered shrimp quesadilla. After seeing the delicious looking food leaving the kitchen, beautifully plated, yet simple, I politely asked if I could cancel the rellano due to the huge portions. She was totally nice about it. It took a while for the food to arrive since every order is made fresh., but man it was awesome. Excellent flavor. We're from the Redding area and have been trying Mexican restaurants we've seen reviewed on Facebook, with less than great results. This place was excellent. Only drawback is they only take cash, which I'm sure will change in their new location. read more

A friend gave me a tip the other day to try their seafood saying it is the freshest in town. She did not exaggerate! Had their oysters on the half shell and we'll be back more often now. We've haven't had oysters this good since we last visited Winchester Bay Oregon. Dynamite! Not for anyone with dietary issues --- two vegetarian dishes --- a burrito and a tostada. You can "veganize" the burrito, but it's best not to ask questions about things like cooking oils. . . . The wait went on forever and the service was not that good --- took forever to get a menu, get chips, get drinks. The chips were excellent but there were very few of them and the waitress was so busy (overworked) that it took forever to get more. The burrito, when it showed up, was the smallest meal sized burrito I ever ate and generally unremarkable. Thankfully, I had a spare chocolate bar with me. I was finished in less than ten minutes. My son, a vegetarian, was also disappointed. My husband claims he liked his chili verde. The bill was --- considering the service and the disappointing portions --- ridiculously high. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone interested in good food and plenty of it. Certainly not for the dietarily restricted. read more
