Shredded chicken tacos were just average. Terrible parking and exit to the street but the food makes it worthwhile. My husband and I LOVE this place! The service is great everyone kind of works together at the register, like if the girls are busy, one of the guys from the kitchen will come and take your order so you aren't waiting for a long time. We come once a week on a weekend. This is the only taco place that can nail my tacos de cabeza. Other places just serve you a bunch of fat on a tortilla, but not Juniors. I specifically come here for my cabeza tacos :) The regular sized tacos are nice and loaded and are usually topped with onion, cilantro, and guac then on the size you get some limes and usually a roasted jalapeño pepper. If you dine in, you get a fresh batch of tortilla chips. They have a salsa bar so you can help yourself to your favorite salsa. I am so picky with salsa verde, they have a good salsa and the mild salsa for the chips is amazing! The carne aside is good too my husband always gets something with carne asada. The micheladas sometimes have too much clamato but I still like them. The only bad thing is that the street is really hard to turn into when there is traffic because there is no broken yellow lines that allow you to turn left into this place. read more

If I could rate this restaurant more than 5 stars I would. Not only are their hours amazing, they have dutifully stayed open during COVID and abide by all the restrictions set in place by the county. The only bad thing that has ever happened here is the salsa almost burnt my house down, as it was nearly spicy enough to melt the container. Drove thru on an impromptu road trip from San Diego to Long Beach on a Wednesday night. Conveninently located just a couple blocks off the 78, no wait in the drive thru and food came out fast. The order was 1 California burrito, 1 San Diego burrito and a carne asada tostada. The carne had a nice char on it and well seasoned not soupy like some taco shops. The fries in the burrito were crispy, nothing worse than oil saturated soggy fries in a burrito. Green salsa was good red salsa was meh. Beans on the tostada were tasty and lettuce was fresh. Also, a male cashier tried to take $0.31 in change as a tip and I had to ask for my change back. Found this place on Yelp while looking at reviews for good Mexican food. This place is an old converted house with a very small dining room but has an outside patio for dining to make up for it. There is also a drive thru. We ordered our dinners to go since my 91 year old Grandma was waiting at home for her dinner. I ordered a carne asada taco and a Horchata drink. When we got home we realized that I had not received my drink so I was bummed to not get a chance to try it and my sister was upset because she paid for something that we didn't receive she was going to send her husband back to get it but it's not worth the $2 to do that (small hiccup in my opinion). Everyone really enjoyed their food especially Grandma who had a chili rellano combo plate, she actually ate the other half for lunch the next day (this woman is picky). My taco was just ok.... I was not too thrilled with the meat since it was obviously cooked before and then reheated because it was burned and crispy on more than half of the meat. This is my favorite spot for tacos here in Vista. The shrimp tacos can't be beat by any other spot I've found close by. Just make sure to eat them fast because if they sit for too long the tortillas get soggy. It's best if you eat in unless if you live close by. read more

I haven't been here in years, up until tonight. I had come here with my mom years back for lunch (maybe 5-6 years ago), everything we ordered was out of stock like shrimp and adobada. We actually walked out and I never thought about coming back. For some reason tonight I had the thought to give them another chance... and it was well worth it. One of the best adobada tacos I've ever had. Don't get this statement twisted... I said adobada, not Pastor; if you don't know the difference don't even bother. Also ordered 3 rolled tacos. They were piping hot and cooked to order. Fresh and crispy. My only complaint is they barely had any guac on them... the salsa bar, specially the creamy green sauce made up for this though.
