Went for my wedding anniversary this evening. This is our 4th time to visit. We enjoy the food flavors and the service. They did not disappoint. Grace served us and she was very friendly as well as the other employees who brought our food. I usually like to order a seafood molcajetes which is always so good but I share it with my sister who was not there with me this evening so I ordered the shredded beef burrito plate, and the flavor of the beef was tasty. My husband ordered the chile Colorado which he enjoyed with corn tortillas. This is the place I like choosing for a dine-in Mexican restaurant, especially with family. The ambience can be noisy if there is a big party in the central area but we were given one of the booths where you can hear and talk to each other. I recommend going with a group of 2-5 and request a booth if available. They also have TVs around for extra entertainment. read more

Stopped for lunch on our way to Las Vegas. Great food and Monica was a great hostess!!

We have driven by this place a hundred times, and the parking lot is always full. We decided on this spot for lunch, fully prepared for the peak Sunday lunch crowd. We were seated immediately and had a great experience. Our server Edith brought us the most beautiful Margaritas. Not only was the presentation fabulous, the flavor was incredible. We asked her to compliment the bartender for us, and she mentioned that they make their own sweet and sour for the Margaritas and that she was the one that created our delicious drinks. As we know, either the drinks are on point OR the food is great, but not typically BOTH. We were thrilled when our first course arrived. We ordered fish tacos, and they were HUGE, savory, and delicious. Next, the SHOW STOPPER arrived! The Molcajeté we ordered was the steak and seafood, and the BOLD flavors were outstanding. My prompt and friendly server today was Edith, she was very pleasant and attentive. Los Molcajetes has been locally owned by the Ortiz family for over 22 years. They serve aMild Roasted smooth salsa & seasoned chips to start. I ordered the Delicious chili verde enchiladas with a generous cheese topping and a plate garnish of sour cream & slice of avocado. Fluffy rice and rich tasty refried beans accompanied my meal. They have a wonderful menu of traditional Mexican food. A lovely little bouquet of yellow flowers is placed on each table. Edith made a pretty garnish of lemon lime & strawberry for my water. This restaurant is Family friendly. Traditional Mexican music in background, quite loud. Woah! We are from the East coast and don't get to eat a lot of authentic Mexican food but when we get the opportunity to, we make the most of it. So we tried this place as a recommendation from my Airbnb host. I looked up the menu to check everything out before calling and placing an order. I got Molcajete A La Mexicana and he had the Chile Colorado and shared the guacamole dip. We went to pick the order up and were ushered to the counter where we would receive our food. A mariachi band was playing for this large table with a lady in a birthday crown and a huge cocktail in an elaborately designed vessel in the shape of a martini glass. Apparently that is what happens if it is your birthday! We kind of felt like we were in a different part of the world, which we were! Very fun, very different. We were seated and offered margaritas during our wait and encouraged to hang out, which we did not oppose. We sat in their lounge with a large TV with rock music playing from the 90's, 2000's by their bar. Totally different vibe than the rest of the restaurant. He got a more classic margarita and I got a mango with a spicy salt rim. Both were very good! The mango was a little too large for me so I shared it with him but it was fun. Everyone was super nice and there was a real sense of hospitality, we kind of felt like family. Another guy even brought us napkins to wipe our faces if we needed it! Ok onward! We were brought our food, finished our drinks and headed back to our place for the night. The food was amazing! The chorizo was the prettiest and deepest red I have ever seen. The development of the flavors was fantastic. The food was really great, the rice, the beans, everything just perfect with great depth. The guacamole even!
