Came here to wait out a quick appointment nearby and for what you get it was not a disappointment. We wanted tacos, and the carne asada and al pastor here were definitely something to write home about. The place is small but the staff is nice and they're really accommodating. This spot was suggested as my friend said it was really good and orders via DoorDash often. Well, anyplace with a (neat) salsa bar, chips and pickled veggies I'm a fan of. Spot is clean, staff friendly with a variety of items on the menu. When I visit for the first time I usually order tacos or a burrito as my friend said they're her fave. My carne asada super burrito was delicious, with a good amount of ingredients and flavorful with their orange sauce and pico de gallo! It was a nice size and could've devoured it but decided to take half home. Place is no nonsense but clean, organized with plenty of lot parking. Pricing in line with other Mexican spots averaging $13.50 for a super burrito. Definitely a repeat spot for me and will deviate from my usuals next time. read more

Husband gone for a business dinner and I couldn't be bothered to cook - offered pizza to kids - nah - burritos? YES! BURRITOS! This is our neighborhood taqueria and it is pretty good. Older child ordered the Chile verde super burrito and ate 2/3 of it and saved the rest for a snack. Younger son ordered the 2XL chicken burrito and a chicken taco. Devoured the taco and half of his huuuge burrito. Check out the picture lol this kid eats so much. I ordered the Al pastor burrito and ate 2/3. Plenty of food for most lol.... Why 4 stars not 5? I get less than happy service - they aren't surly, just not terribly pleasant. That's fine. They also don't give out orepackaged salsas or ask and remind you of the salsa bar. My bad. Los Moreno is a pretty standard taqueria with the typical Mexican food fare and offering self-service tortilla chips under a heat lamp adjacent to the salsa bar. I enjoy Los Moreno for the freshness of everything. The seasoning is perfect and not overly salty like a few of the competing places. During the height of the pandemic, customers could only enjoy takeout but as things have started opening up, it's nice to see customers dining again. First of all , very subpar burrito. Been to this place a handful of times. It's never been above "okay". Also pricier than much better burritos I've had that are within 5 minutes of this place. And you better pay for additional chips and salsa with your To-go order, or else they're gonna talk about and look at you crazy when you try to grab 1oz of salsa from the Self Serve cart in the open dining room for any and everybody to access , which is the *payment free* norm in every other taqueria. I work near by and decided to eat head on my lunch hour. I ordered a carne asada super burrito but definitely felt more like a regular burrito was lacking in salsa/guacamole/ sour cream, not that I'd want my food to drown in it but I do think the ratio could be improved so that I can also taste those flavors. The burrito was just ok the meat quality could definitely use an upgrade was very light in color and borderline tasted like lengua, I did have to verify with them that they did use the right meat choice. They were kind enough to offer to remake it but I declined, again it was what I ordered but the meat cut they use for their asada could use some improvement. I will commend that they wrap their burritos well because I always like to cut it in half and it didn't completely fall apart. I like to eat half now and half later to avoid a food coma. They also had a salsa bar which was nice (on the mild side) but the green one tasted the best to me. place is very clean inside with the exception of the entrance carpet that needed some vacuuming lol not sure if I would be back but I think I'd try a different menu item if I did and meat option. read more

Chefs kiss this place was recommended to me by a friend. I always order the barbacoa tacos & I get my 3 year old a corn tortilla quesadilla :) The staff is nice and they always have a kids movie playing on their TV which comes in handy while I enjoy my tacos and my toddler enjoys a bit of screen time. The restaurant is on the smaller side but it's more than enough space for a family of 4 or less. 10/10 recommend. read more

One of my favorite local Mexican joints if I want something close by with solid quality. I have never been disappointed by a meal there. The burritos and tacos are great and they are one of the few taquerias in the area that serve the creamy orange salsa (like La Vic's in SJ). Their service is great and have rarely had to wait long for my order. They also have a taco Tuesday and Burrito Thursday special which are decent deals. read more

This feels like visiting a old friend. It's been nearly 7 years since my last review of one of my favorite taquerias before they sold and went downhill. Well how have they been? Al pastor tacos - good flavor pork, but cut way too thin. It felt like I was eating ground pork with as small as it was cut. It ruined the texture and I wouldn't recommend the Al pastor. Price at $2.50 was reasonable and cheaper than a lot of other taquerias lately. Carne asada super burrito - $10.75, going rate, good size, enjoyed the toasted tortilla outside and flavorful rice. While the rice is flavorful, there was too much of it for my liking. Carne asada was solid, but cut too small for me as well. It wasn't as small as the Al pastor which is a big plus, but I want something I can sink my teeth into a bit. I don't mean big cuts, but 1/2" cubes instead of maybe the 1/4" that it seemed like. Burrito alone I'd give it a 3.5, much improved from last visit, but not quite as good as when this used to be my regular spot. Besides food, good prices, clean friendly, good service, really solid salsa bar and generous with the salsa. Negatives beyond that is I'm pretty sure I was charged $1 for chips which isn't something that was mentioned. I didn't see this displayed either, but maybe I missed it. Chips weren't quite fresh, but not yet stale either. If they were free, this probably wouldn't have been mentioned. read more

No, no, no, no, no! One of the worst Mexican food I've had in such a long time. I asked for Birria tacos which was my mistake because it was not in the menu. I asked the cashier if they made them and he said in a non-convincing voice, "yes we serve that it's just the meat". The end result was a super soggy bland meat taco with no consume for dipping! What's a Birria taco without the dip?!?! Thats almost disrespectful. I was really hungry and disappointed at the same time. The taco was soggy I couldn't even hold it without it breaking and the taco was so gross that I barely ate half and I've consumed so many Birria tacos within the last 5 years ok?! I know how these are supposed to taste. La Moreno don't say you serve something that you clearly don't usually make. The taco was nasty. This has become one of my rotating taquerias in the Peninsula. Guadalajara is my other squeeze, but that place can be so busy and their parking lot is a nightmare. At Los Moreno, you don't have the super long lines and the service is good. My husband enjoy everything we've ordered from here. Tasty chips and salsa bar. My wife and I really enjoy good Mexican food. The name of this restaurant reminded me of one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Phoenix, Los Dos Morenos. True to the name the food was great. True to cooking flavors. My wife had Chilie Verde and you can really taste the flavor of the Chilies! I had a Taco Salad with Carnitas. The meat was cooked perfectly and the taco shell arrived at my home warm and crisp, not soggy. Great Job Los Moreno!! Can't wait to try in person!! read more
