Mind you this information can be found directly on their website which I included a photo of below. The employee argued with me about 5 gallons being too much. He insisted the policy was only 5 qt. He insisted they were a retail store not a mechanic shop. After arguing back and forth he eventually gave in and said he'll let me do it this one time. Here's where it gets interesting. 1. I called before going to the store and clearly indicated I had 5 gallons of used oil and if it was okay to drop it off. They said yes. 2. On the website it indicates 5 gallons per day limit. 3. NYC and NY state law clearly indicate all retailers and service station must accept 5 gallons of used motor oil or transmission oil per day; per person. It shouldn't have taken a back and forth argument just for me to drop the equivalent of 2 oil changes worth of oil. Employees need to be retrained on store policy and customer service.
