The food was ok. I ordered beef fajita. It came a few minutes after I ordered. So I guess the meat was reheated. It had no flavor at all. Very dry and grey. The charro beans was similarly bland. The best part of my meal was the red sauce, chips, and margarita. Compared to another restaurant at a similar price point, I would recommend Taqueria Chalupas. read more

I give this place 2 stars only because I like their milanesa tortas & pollo verde but other than that anything else I have tried isn't so good. Today I placed a to-go order for a California burrito & I was very disappointed. For one the burrito wasn't as big as typical California burritos are but besides that the tortilla wasn't even tucked in at the ends which made all the ingredients spill out as I consumed it. I made a reservation for 25 people and when we arrived, the staff were ready. Our birthday girl just turned 77 yo. They did an amazing job. The food was excellent, we all enjoyed, one asked for a banana split which is on their menu and he was extremely happy. They were a part of helping celebrating a birthday and their service was great. Ambiance is great. We frequently visit and see regular visitors there. I really enjoyed the cheese enchiladas and the home made tortillas my wife raves about are really good. The servers are prompt and usually are quick to seat and serve. The restaurant is pretty quiet considering how many can be seated. I love the comfy feel and no complaints although the food prices have gone up a bit. read more

The food is good. The service has always been good. Prices are ok but good portions. I wished they would open early Monday to Friday. So far it's only open early Saturday and Sunday. Anyone comparing it to authentic Mexican has never eaten in Mexico (no, all-inclusive resort dishes aren't authentic) The chips literally come out of a trash bin. Seriously. I watched the staff pour chips out of a Rubbermaid Brute into the warmer. The salsa resembles marinara. The chile con queso may be the nacho cheese from Sam's club, without the spice. The barbacoa was greasy and was not seasoned at all. I couldn't eat a second bite. Los Ramirez would benefit benefit by cutting their menu down to a third. Better to do 15 things well than offer 45 mediocre dishes. I've had more flavorful dishes at English pubs. Please use some cumin and chiles in your dishes. Such a disappointment. read more

The chips were stale, no offers for refills on drinks and only 2 of the 3 meals made it to the table. By the time the third meal made it everyone else was almost done. The food was old and bland. When the cashier asked how it was I told her. She should have gotten the manager but instead she just thanked me for telling her. We ordered the the Nachos de Fajita, Apaseo Dinner, 2 enchiladas de camarón and Camarones empanizados. Everything was delicious and hot when we opened our food. The refried beans from our plates were good and homemade. The rice was good. We will definitely be going again for dinner! We give it a 10/10! read more

I have eat here before and the service was always first rate, I realize in these trying times for resturants good servers can be hard to find, but our waiter needs some training. we had a party of 11 on a Monday noon time, very few tables occupied, he was takeing two to three orders at a time, then going away for time some of the table had been served and almost finished before all orders taken. Presentation was nice but the meat had absolutely no flavor and was very chewy. Although if you dip them in queso it was almost good. As for the entree, we both ordered enchiladas (ground beef & beef fajita). They came out promptly and pipin' hot but sadly the enchiladas were also very bland. The meat inside the enchiladas and even the gravy they douse them in had no flavor. The beans were average and the rice was just mushy and guess what.. also lacked flavor. Service from entering the restaurant until we left was great, very attentive but the major issue is the kitchen. Overall it was just an average restaurant. The flauta was made out of flower tortilla (which is not Mexican) the puff was just a corn shell fried in to a cup like and serve upside down cover on nacho cheese. We have been coming to this restaurant (first the original location) since relocating from San Antonio ten years ago. The food has always been hot and delicious (kinda like me) and what makes it even better is the ambiance of the mood created by the staff. We have personally come to know everyone on a first name basis, sharing their lives with our lives. We always go in knowing not only will we get the great Mexican favorites we enjoy eating and the ice cold margaritas made fresh that we love to drink, but also making new and lasting memories conversing with the most friendliest and attentive staff. We're not sure how this place has a four star rating. Our dinners were terrible. The meats (barbacoa and shredded beef) were tepid and had no flavor. I don't usually add salt but my food needed something. The pico and guacamole didn't seem fresh as they were not cold and also lacked flavor. Refried beans were ok. Rice was dry. Flour tortillas were good. We were told the crispy taco shells were fried but they were just store bought hard shells. Chips had an odd aftertaste. Salsa was ok. I'm very picky when it comes to authentic Mexican food. We LOVE Los Ramirez! However, I only order the same TWO items from the menu EVERY TIME we pick up to go. For lunch or dinner their tacos de fajita mexicana are DELICIOUS with flour tortillas. AND salsa molcajete. I don't like the green or red salsa that comes with the chips, it's very Tex-Mex. The salsa molcajete is the way to go!! For breakfast we only order barbacoa. It's very lean which we love! We also order flour tortillas and molcajete salsa. The prices have gone up but we don't mind. If you have had a bad experience since they reopened, try the tacos, you won't regret it! Don't forget the molcajete salsa OH and the mangonada margaritas are delicious. read more

Will not be returning. My husband thinks two stars is being extremely generous. While looking at the menu which is huge, we nibbled on chips and salsa and had drinks. We did not like the chips/salsa, and were concerned the rest of the food might be as bad. We did not feel right paying for our drinks and leaving so we stayed and wished we hadn't. The food was beyond bland and the atmosphere was similar to a bingo hall, thankfully the music wasn't blasting as is the case at many other restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Chips - stale Green stuff... gelatinous or maybe xanthan gum slimy texture, no flavor green stuff, like totally NO flavor. I think they were trying for salsa verde but completely missed the mark, honestly I don't know what they are trying for... Red salsa - no flavor bland but OMG way better than the green stuff, and if I weren't hungry I wouldn't have eaten it at all. Carne Guisada - bland no flavor Rice - bland no flavor Refried Beans - I actually liked them but they aren't any worse or better than canned beans. Guacamole - The absolute worse thing I've ever tasted. I asked Hubby to taste it but cautioned him to take just a little and he made the worse face and said "OMG this tastes like A$$" I thought it tasted similar to rotting eggs to which he agreed. The color was very bright green didn't look to be spoiled but there was something definitely wrong with it. We even gave it to the waiter and told him to try it because it just tasted so so bad. (We usually don't complain or send things back, and I don't know if the waiter tried it, I hope he did) Chimichanga - Fajita tasted like frozen packaged meat and the tortilla tasted like a sweet pop tart, the cheese didn't add any flavor. At the Very minimum it needed salt. Rice - bland no flavor Refried Beans - bland no flavor and kinda sweet(Hubby) Side of sour cream - charged $1.99 and it looked like it just came out of the freezer. Soda - $2.99 I think is too expensive, but it was actually the best tasting thing I had and I asked for my free refills because Man I was hungry and the food was no good.
