First I saw the bakery and decided to check it out, it was well stocked with Pan dulce, it looked very humble but clean so I purchased a few, then I looked at the little butcher/restaurant place and went in to see the menú, I ordered the guacamole and birria tacos, and I am obsessed with the guacamole! The restaurant food taste delicious. This review is for the ham I purchased by the pound from the deli. It was old ham. They sliced the ham for me so they seen it and still sold to me like that! I even asked for cheese and they only have packaged cheese for sale and I went to look and they only had cheese that expired July of this year. That should've been my sign to leave and i didn't say anything I just ordered my ham, chips and beans. but when i got home the ham was definitely old close to expiring and the chips and beans weren't fresh. read more

The owner helped pack the food in our car and by accident our fire extinguisher was pressed and got all of the packaged food covered in the white dust! Needless to say its huge, they give you a side of crema and chips with it and have a fresh salsa bar (probably one of the best I've seen).Their agua frescas are delicious too! The choice of meat for the tacos weren't just the typical beef and pork but the other parts of them as well, like cabeza (head), tongue, tripe, etc . The list was pretty long. This carnicería has been here since I was a teen.. the owners used to work at another butcher shop down the street... they decided to open this shop and it's been going strong ever since.. sometimes I forget how good the food is here.. this really is a hidden spot for burritos, tortas, and the like as compared to taquerias.... the restaurant which is tended to by a crew of all females are attentive and man can they cook... I will suggest parking in the public parking spot across the street and they have a super small lot that only fits about 10 cars that is shared with multiple businesses.. And you can taste the difference. Their Horchata and Jamaica were so fresh, and not overly sweet like most other places. Those are must-try items, along with the Peruvian beans, tamales, and Mexican rice. Oh, and the fresh chips and guacamole were perfect. Really, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
