Hands down, the best Mexican burrito's in the area. PERIOD. Been going for years. Massive amount and meat, fresh ingredients, etc. You can get burritos, tacos, bowls, salads, nachos, etc. Personally I'm not a fan of their breakfast burritos. I'd go elsewhere for those. That said, you CANNOT BEAT their normal burritos. Comes with your choice of Mexican rice or Cilantro rice (surprisingly good), black or refried beans, spicy chicken, regular chicken, regular steak, barbacoa steak, etc. An then a full set of additional options from bell peppers to olives, sour cream, etc. read more

Ok my peeps, it's been a while since I posted a review but this one deserved it. Whenever I'm working near El Segundo I come hit up this spot for their delicious salads. It's pretty much build your own salad. They have a variety of proteins and veggies to add and the options to build your salad can stretch a long way. Everything is made fresh because they're literally cooking everything right behind the counter. The only thing I highly suggest is, tell them to try to keep the juices from the beans off the salad. The owner is a cool guy but his worker needs to have more people skills . He's too serious. They now serve breakfast too. I'll have to try that out soon. read more

Been meaning to update this review. The experiences have been much better over the past year. One of the benefits of this location is for the hundreds of LAX workers in this side of the airport. It's a convenient spot directly across from the cargo activity that lines the entire south ramp. Very each to hop on a car and pick up something for you or your crew. A burrito to go, sometimes eaten in the car, hits the spot and satisfies the hungry while boosting the energy to get you through the rest of your shift. Build your burrito or bowl from across the counter. They keep the counter clean and the food always looks fairly fresh. The burrito are flavorful and a never level off high spice. I stopped by this Mexican grill for breakfast and was seriously impressed. The breakfast burritos are really good -- packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and a perfect start to the day. I also tried their asada burrito and it did not disappoint. The meat was seasoned well, tender, and wrapped up with all the right toppings. I come here 3-4 times a week and it's always so fresh! I've gone to other locations and this one I will go out of my way for because the cooks are just that good. The seasoning for the chicken, top tier. The guacamole and pico de gallo are so good without having an overpowering taste of lemon. Chips aren't overly fried and oily, it makes them taste better. The service is amazing and I'm always greeted with a smile. Oh and their cheese is grated in house every morning so again this location is THE BEST of all the locations. read more

This is very unfortunate that I have to write a review because I love Cilantro! This location just doesn't do it for me. The food is not the same quality as the location in Westchester. I've come here 2-3 times when the other location had already closed for the day. I suppose you could say that I was being insane because I had gone there a few times and expected different results. My last visit here was especially not good. I ordered a burrito bowl and the vegetables and lettuce were very old looking and wilted. The food was flavorless as well. Halfway through my bowl, I had to throw it away. I never throw food away. Please do better. read more

This place is a slightly more expensive version of Chipotle with no beer. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad for $10 and was charged an extra $2 to add cilantro rice. The guy didn't bother telling me about the rice fee until I noticed an extra charge on the receipt. Seems especially dumb when you consider that ordering a bowl for the same price with the same ingredients does not incur an extra charge. Customers shouldn't need to decipher the menu to figure out what ingredients are going to cost them extra. Just be upfront about pricing and I'd be more inclined to return. read more

I usually don't leave reviews . But I'm really upset on the way the employee treated me . He was very rude. I walked in and didn't even greet me . I had to greet him. I asked for I wanted , while he waited for the nachos to cook I tried having a conversation with him. not even once turned around. He asked if i wanted anything else with my chicken nachos . I said yes I want lettuce , cilantro. He was going to charge me $.99 for a little bit of lettuce , and $.99 for a pinch of cilantro . I said wow ! really! I said just give me extra pico de gallo on my nachos . and he gave me attitude . I paid for my plate and he didn't even give me my order . He left it next to where he packs his orders and walks away . like WTH ! I already paid my food and couldn't even hand my order and my recipe . Not even a thank you or anything . Very disappointed. Before heading to my flight at LAX my boyfriend and I stopped here to use the restroom and grab a small bite to eat. Disclaimer: They have no bathroom but the Asian food joint next door does. They do, however, have reasonably priced, tasty, small bites to grub on. I ordered 2 chicken tacos with everything on them except sour cream and onions, and my boyfriend got the chicken bowl with everything on it. My tacos were scrumptious and the chicken was perfectly dense packed with a variety of flavor. Not too salty or dry, just the right amount of tense texture. I really enjoyed the tacos but would definitely not recommend getting the red salsa if you're looking for something mild as it will blow your tongue off. The bowl was alright but definitely a little too moisture dense for our liking. At first impression, Cilantro is a little sketchy looking and the openness of the toppings as such scared me a little bit but the final product was delicious and I did not get sick so no complaints there. The staff were kind and worked very quickly which was considerate of them. I'm sure they get a ton of people, like us, coming in right before a flight on a time crunch. Overall would recommend for a quick bite to eat but maybe not a family sit down dinner. Not the most cozy environment and definitely not enough seating for a big group. I love this place! I get the chicken burrito with the added veggies (peppers & squash). Burrito is huge, I feel all the ingredients are very fresh which by the way there is a huge variety of. I've been to the Cilantro near work in DTLA and it's pretty decent Mexican food. I was in the El Segundo area and decided to pick up food from this Cilantro. It was empty when I came in but the guy working greeted me and said hello. I did a burrito bowl/salad with steak. I asked for the veggies (which were apparently extra but the guy did not tell me this), as well as black beans and various other toppings including guacamole (which is also extra but was not told). My bowl was kind of stuffed! In the end my bowl cost $11 with the added extras, not the cheap dinner I was hoping for. The food was alright, nothing spectacular. read more

Loving their new taco Tuesday special! I stopped by here because I was in the area visiting a friend. They were having a special for 2 chicken tacos & a drink for $6. Wasn't bad at all considering their portion sizes! They give a lot of food for the price. Their food tastes authentic. They have a lot of variety/toppings. + the fact that they give you so much food, I mean more than chipotle or other places. They are located in a parking lot. I've been coming here for about a year now. And, up until this past Friday, I've have not had a bad experience. However, what happened to me on March 14, 2014 will prevent me from ever stepping foot in there again. I was about to buy a chicken burrito bowl when I asked on the spur of the moment to make it a mixed meat bowl. The man behind the counter (I didn't get his name) put the steak in the bowl & presided to charge me for a steak bowl with extra meat. When I told him that the transaction was incorrect, he tried to tell me that the chicken portion was different than the steak portion. Ummmm, what?? I didn't understand that and when he refused to rectify the situation to my satisfaction (mind you I've been in this place MANY times before & he's helped me before!), I left. On the way out I SPECIFICALLY asked him, "Don't charge me because I haven't signed the transaction slip". I found out today that he indeed DID put the transaction through for the incorrect amount. Heck no!!! I called BoA & had the amount refunded to me. So, if he can do this to a person that has been there since the place was known by another name, imagine what could happen to you!
