Over the years, I've tried various dishes here, lunches as well as breakfasts, and each meal has been just a bit worse than the last. I guess that's a long way of saying that I really can't recommend anything. By the way, the chef must be going bald, judging from the hair he seems to leave in the food... I ordered a carne asada burrito to go. When I arrived home with my burrito and bit into it, I only tasted beans. When I opened it up I found 1/2 tablespoons spoon of meat , onions and cilantro and the rest was beans! I paid 15.00 for a bean burrito! The beans tasted bland and old. I am very disappointed. Been years since I've been there since I moved away. But my father brought us here in the 80's and 90''s. My father is up yonder now but this year 10/2023, he would have celebrated 100 years old. So my brother and I decided to celebrate after a quick visit to Green Hills. My dish was nopales with meat. It came with a soup and I ordered the fideo. A nice spot in the heart of Wilmington. The food here is solid, and I enjoyed my experience here. The portion sizes are quite large and you can expect leftovers. My family and I have eaten here about four times and have enjoyed the food and service. But tonight, they completely dropped the ball. Granted, They were busy but not that busy as to completely ignore us the way they did. We arrived around 6:30. It was ten minutes before we even got chips. Then we waited another 15. During this time a large family came and sat at the table next to us. Within five minutes they had drinks and were ordering. While we sat there for 25 minutes not being noticed. I'm not sure how this happened. With this said, we will not be returning. Unless we receive an apology from the manager. This place has become my home away from home. I have true affection for the servers here. This has become the place we can go anytime, day or night, and get a great boozy breakfast. It is so much easier to have difficult discussions or deal with bad news over these chorizo and eggs. I know this is not meant to be some gourmet setup. I know this is not the chorizo that will slap you across the face or land anyone in magazines. But it smells like my house did growing up. Knowing I can go there 24 hrs a day is a big deal. My bff is from Wilmington and introduced me to Los Tres where we are always guaranteed to run into her family, friends or someone she knows lol It's one of the local spots and now one of my faves. I am a sucker for their Chile Verde fries which comes with Chile Verde and beans and you can add any other meat too. Typically it's asada. I ordered that. My friend ordered the chile verde fries with carnitas (her fave) with the chile verde on the side. She's pretty picky so she orders that way lol she didn't get enough beans so she asked the waitress for a side order. We shared the chile relleno which was under cooked. It was still pretty firm, which is why I am giving this review a 4. This place is usually bustling with people. There are several size booth and tables to meet your parties needs either an outdoor patio seating area they put in during the pandemic. I'm usually pretty happy about what I order here. It's usually my homegirl's order that gets messed up lol but shes picky I tell you lol Drinks are also pretty good here- if you're looking for happy hour or a spot to continue the party at. She was just rude to my parents very short answered and annoyed seemed. I don't know if she's going through something personally, or what, but in a workplace, you shouldn't bring that attitude. I recommend alfredo's not to far from los tres. The liver and onions at alfredo's in Lomita are the best. Always served hot and sizling with 4 times the liver at a lower price. Also recently had chicken fajitas at tortilla cantina in down town torrance. The waitress made a point of telling me that they have deliver the fajitas sizzling and they were. I don't get why los tres has so many bad reviews and they don't fix the problems. I've met the owner and her son and they are lovely people. I guess it's complacency. This restaurant is so good it makes me want to move to Wilmington. While going too see a client after seeing some homes real estate agent/ REALTOR life a little sign on the side of the road caught my attention tacos. In fact it's Open 24 hours. It's a great place to get together with friends and family. I ordered a small menudo, a shredded beef sope and a tostada de ceviche de camaron. As to the menudo, it was not served hot and I returned it to be reheated. It was not to bad but a bit greasy for my liking. The sope was delish, great flavor on the beans and shredded beef. The tostada de ceviche de camaron was good not great but passable. The service was excellent!! Very attentive. I would come again to try other items from their menu and come on a weekend. My company have been ordering from this restaurant. I have brought my family n friends here as well and have been satisfied until one day, for lunch. Prior to this was a midnight meal that my friend n I had at the restaurant who's waitress was nice, pleasant n attentive. We have ordered one of my friend's favorite dish, the Chille Relleno from there. We requested to add/stuff shrimps, instead of chicken which we paid extra for. It was delish. So a week later, I was trying to order it but the waitress n person I spoke with said that this dish shouldn't be allowed to be ordered as requested n that this will never happen again, even though, I m willing to pay extra for the shrimps.
