It's a joke then they automatically end up charging you on your receipt a tip without you even knowing about it or getting permission from you to charge a tip so if your eating there please look at your receipt before you sign. It do not give them a tip because they already included in on the price if you look at it, they charge is 20% plus tax on top of their tip so it's ridiculous. they put the tip down as large party when it was only me my wife and two of my children. We went here because Joe T's was way to busy. Besides we went here for a Christmas party a couple of years ago and it was good. This time we went for my twins bday. We had my family of 6 (2 adults, 2 kids under 7 and 2 16 year olds) plus 2 grandparents for a total of 8 people. To start off all was hood. Server had a bit of an attitude no biggie. I ordered carne asada which traditionally comes with onions and bell peppers so I asked for extra vegetables meaning onions and bell peppers. She said it doesn't come with that it comes with a little on top. I said yes so please bring extra. I also said no rice and extra charo beans. I received my plate with rice and no extra onions or bell peppers and no extra charos. OK cool just moved on. She said do you want me to take it back with an attitude of She didn't want to. She said I'm bringing you your veggies. About 10 minutes later she brought me grilled squash. And I said what is this she said it's what you asked for I said no. I wanted the grilled onions. She said oh do you want me to go get them for you I said no don't worry about it. As my family was almost done eating. So she brought some half way grilled onions. Then we got our check and she goes I charged you gratuity. It was 20% for horrible service. How is that justified? Just insane. The salsa they gave me for the oily chips tasted like canned chopped tomatoes with no spice or other ingredients. Not worth it either! The handicap route, I won't even say it's a ramp it's a long ass zigzag rotten wood thing with splinters, loose boards and uneven boards. It's near impossible for someone with a walker cause you'll get splinters and if using a wheelchair good luck pushing someone. You need a 4x4! This needs a major upgrade! Typical Tex Mex in my opinion. I went to Los Vaqueros for a business social event and it was ok. I had a margarita and tried a lot of the food that was ordered for the party (empanadas, guacamole, chips, tacos with chicken and shredded pork). First thought when we pulled in to park was Wow! A huge, multi story building with plenty of parking. Walked in and were met by a a hostess that showed us to our party. I was amazed at how many people were there and how many large party tables were prepared for the evening. Decor is simple and bright, figure the food has to be as good or better. We had 18 at our table: drink orders were taken first in less than five minutes after sitting. Chips and salsa next with water and tea following. Drinks took a few minutes but with crowd, not unreasonably long. They took our orders after the drinks, taking a tad longer than expected but was followed up quickly with refills of drinks and chips. I ordered the Tacos Al Carbon, it came with rice, charro beans, pico, guacamole, queso and three plump, rolled flour tortillas filled with a very tasty beef fajita meat that was great. Other reviews knocked the tortillas but these were fresh and hot. Rice and beans were average, the drinks better than average and the draft beer ice cold. I did not hear any negative comments from our group. The server was an older guy but he moved quickly and efficiently, great attitude and smiled no matter how busy he was. Dinner took awhile with four or five people served before the rest of us, we waited about 10 more minutes. Next time I'm in Northside, I'll try this place again. read more

The house margarita was flavorful and done well. The food, I was hoping for more Tex mex but it was ok. Ordered brisket tacos and chicken tacos. They were both good but nothing mind blowing. My hubby and I were invited to a co-worker's family event at this restaurant and they reserved the outdoor garden area, as well as part of the upstairs to dine. They had to call the manager who came down 15 minutes later, huffing and puffing, then blatantly ignored me when I kind of joked and said sorry for all the hassle. Rude. The bartender apologized on his manger's behalf though (still rude of the manager to show how put out he was). Anywhoooo, also for pátron shots you would think they would chill them, especially for being outside (all the liquor was on a table...outdoors...in Texas summer), so needless to say the shots were horrid because they were past the warm temperature. Bleckkkk. It was a big celebration and we all had A LOT of tequila shots. Don't judge. They were all horribly warm except for the few I remembered to tell them to chill. But the buffet style food was amazing which included fajita steak and chicken, rice and beans, and chips, salsa, and guac. Fresh tortillas were being handed out table side which I really appreciated. I would like to speak to a manager about my daughter's engagement party last night. She booked and paid for 50 guests. Had planned a 6:30 dinner. We get there an hour early at 5:30 to decorate to find the room is occupied. Something about them showing up late but still getting the room even thought you all had booked a 6:30 dinner. Supposedly we had the room for 4 hours. We had to wait 2 hours and our guests had to wait 1 hour. We finally got into the room and had to decorate with our guests watching. These are the memories our daughter will have of the beginning of her planning year. This was unacceptable! Your answer to making it right was to swindle them out of their $250 deposit. We expected to pay around $800 besides the room fee total $1050. Some how the total ended up being $1400 less the room fee $1200. You all got you room fee back. If this is the way you all do business I feel inclined to let the public know. For this error on your part we were compensated with 2 pitchers of non alcoholic mixers, not margaritas! And a plate of nachos. I will be expecting a call. I never got a call! They don't care they got their money. I will never return! read more

I got the Shrimp Diablo Enchiladas and I figured it would just taste better based on the description. Service wasn't great. My husband and I decided to try this place for lunch. Food was ok and served quickly. Their staff just does their job and does not go above and beyond . No one greets you or says good bye. Our waiter never came to us and asked how we like our meal or if he could do anything more for us. Just takes the order and that is it. We also had to ask for eating utensils AFTER we got our meal.
