10/10 all around. The service is excellent, the ambiance is absolutely perfect and does temporarily transport you to CDMX which I absolutely love. Lastly, the food is great. We had an excellent experience at the lounge while we waited - listening to an INCREDIBLY talented singer. Start to finish dinner was an experience we all enjoyed! And there's a club at the basement level which feels like you're in a whole new spot! Such a great time - I'll be back!

I visited Polanco for a sisters date recently. I was excited to check out this new restaurant in the downtown area. The restaurant itself is very well decorated with a high end ambiance. This is a great spot for a date night or drinks with the girls. We had a reservation, but we had to wait over 20 minutes before we were sat. Our waiter was nice, and did his best to explain the menu. Our food and drinks came in a timely manner. I had the vegetable enchiladas, which I enjoyed. After our meal, the server led us to their newly opened reggeaton club located on their bottom floor. Since it was new, there weren't many people there, but I can definitely see it becoming a hotspot during the summer. Overall I had a positive experience at Polanco and would visit again.

Update: after the response from PR person below, i wish i could give this place 0 or negative stars. It was a comical response at best and carried a tone of indifference and indignation. Really could have responded better. Sounds like youre saying you made it right when you clearly didnt. It was not just 1 plate cooked wrong, it was 4. And you only remade one without apology and we still had 3 more that were never addressed. You should take care to have better customer service during and after experiences or you wont last long. Repeat customers is how you stay in business, there are only so many new ones... I had been super excited to try this restaurant. After missing the perfect reservation time a few weekends in a row, finally got a chance to try it about a month ago with my husband and another couple. I had high expectations given the price tag and dress requirements for the place. It started off great; but just ended very poorly. The good: The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant we're absolutely perfect. I expected the food to be the same way. The drinks were eclectic and poured well. Appetizers were also tasty and well presented. The (very) bad: The main courses, which were the most expensive part of the meal were very subpar at best. I ordered the salmon and my husband the steak. The other couple did the same. We ordered our salmon well done, and the steaks medium rare. The salmon came out medium rare and the steaks Well done. We push through it however, only eating the outsides of the salmon. One of the steaks was so well done however, he did have to ask they remake it. When we told them what might have been the issue, (that the chefs reversed the cooking temperatures), the manager who had brought the new steak over didn't even apologize for the confusion. You would've thought he would've at least comped the steak because that person had to wait quite a while to get their steak remade. It's not what we were expecting however, but an apology at the very minimum would have been nice. That experience is not what I'm used to when it comes to fine dining. I have been to ALL the high-end restaurants in Fort Worth and rarely does over or under cooking happen when youre spending $50+ a plate. The one time that it did happen about 5yrs ago at Capital Grille, the manager just took care of the meal. At any rate, the price tag does not fit the experience. Unsure we'll be going back when there are so many better options.

Our server was very nice but it seemed service in general was slow due to us being in a private room. The light was really dim and kept flickering which threw off the vibe. I had the tacos vaquero with octopus and shrimp and it was dry, on the other hand, the hamburger was fantastic. Overall, Polanco was just OK. I would probably look elsewhere for tacos unless you want gourmet Mexican.

Polanco delivers an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is stylish and energetic, perfect for a night out. The food is wonderfully delicious and truly authentic Mexican cuisine with bold, rich flavors in every bite. Diana was exceptional -- attentive, warm, and made sure everything was perfect. Even without a balcony, the ambiance and overall vibe are top-tier. Definitely one of Fort Worth's best spots.

Such an aesthetic. This place left my jaw on the floor. When entering you are greeted with a grand stairway that takes you to the second floor. Seated in an area that eluded ambiance our server greeted us immediately with water options. We took it upon ourselves to order appetizers that left our mouths watering for more. Our drinks also did not miss the mark. Once our food arrived the first bite led into a happy dance followed by birthday shots complimentary of the restaurant. After paying our bill we went to the restroom where the stalls are individual with shared sinks that are unisex. This place is totally a vibe. 10/10 cant wait to return !

Service was spectacular. Our waiters were Xavier and Ashley's they were great. Went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was perfect. Food was delicious and drinks were great as well. They did miss out on one star for ambience since the music they play is terrible. I felt like I was in an elevator the whole time. They should add a little Mexican flair and add some Spanish music to go with dinner.

Vibes and ambiance were great. Service was great and all the staff were so kind and professional. Food was mid, not terrible just didn't leave satisfied. Left stuffed but food was slightly cold when served. We ordered the strip steak, shrimp enchiladas, the corn, and the toasted cheese. Also noticed gnats flying around which grossed me out. Drinks were okay, I ordered a polanco margarita which tasted like an artificial very sweet watermelon jolly rancher, the whiskey sour was good, and my husband loved the smoked old fashioned. We also stopped at polanco club downstairs which had live Latin music.

Food is sub par at best. Creative, sure, but tasteless and over priced. $25 for three tacos with no taste and no sides? No thank you. Service was great. Our waiter, Alan, did a great job job taking care of us. The ambiance on a Friday night is a little loud and dark but lively and popping.

Polanco Margarita. It's watermelon and the only drink that comes with this presentation. Very good

What is not to love? As we're celebrating our 55th anniversary this month we were presented with a lovely, complementary sparkly rose. As today is Cinco de Mayo a Margarita was in order and the house pour was lovely. We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

Servers provided a great experience aside from a bunch of flies (ate outside on the patio and were waving at flys most of the night). Three stars for the prices. We are an entirely vegetarian meal with no alcohol and paid $400 for a party of six...and we were sharing (yes, you read that correctly). $13 for a side of Mexican rice. $18 for essentially a side mashed potatoes. $16 for grilled vegetables. And the portions were SMALL. We were sharing across four adults and three kids and everyone only ended up getting a tiny amount. It was really difficult believing we were receiving any real value...it felt like the Don and figured out how to have unsuspecting guests pay double! It to say this isn't a legit high-end Mexican restaurant, it is. But I would more realistically describe it as a high-end steak house with wrap-around Mexican dishes (which explains why the side prices were so extreme). Kids quesadillas with steak were $17 a piece with no sides other than potato chips (a little odd given the context). Anyway, I'll end it where I began...food was good, servers were great...but just not worth the price. If the bill had been half or the portions were larger, it would have felt like we were actually getting value for our money.

I ordered take out and sat at the bar while I waited for my entree.Ordered two drinks while I waited, got the one at the top of the menu and a skinny margarita and they tasted exactly the same ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ they got the job done and were fine. Food: I got the enchiladas three ways with steak. You can take the regular three sauces or choose just one if you'd like. Green sauce is the best, white sauce is pretty good, and the red mole is fine but I wish I would have swapped it out with the spicy almost (orange) sauce that comes with the seafood enchiladas. That sauce looks so good! My partner did not like the red sauce at all, again I thought it was fine just not amazing like the other two. Beans and rice are good, nothing special. Nothing wrong with the chips and salsa just run of the mill. Other thoughts: I wish I had just ate my food at the bar instead of ordering take out. Bar seats are comfortable, views of a tv for anyone sitting at the bar, and it's just a nice comfortable atmosphere in there. The hostess and bar tenders I interacted with provided great service.

They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
