My family did the 45 min tiki boat ride and it was fabulous! I have to admit I thought it would go further out into open water BUT we saw soooo much marine life, this little tour around the marina did not disappoint. We saw soooo many otters, there were pelicans diving right in front of us! We saw sea lions and their babies and even a tiger shark someone had caught off the pier! Highly recommend! I was a little underwhelmed with Morro Bay itself but this tour was great! We did the 5:30pm sunset tour which was awesome but for evening tours they don't go in detail about wildlife and narrate they just play music while serving drinks. I think I would've liked more narration like the earlier tours maybe the last daytime tour around 4pm would be ideal or maybe a very early one. Nonetheless the boat was shaded (a big plus), they weren't pushy with drinks, and we still saw a ton of wildlife despite it being the evening! We saw a lot of sea otters and different birds. We were visiting Morro Bay and decided at the last minute to do the tiki cruise. We got to the ticketing booth 10 before they were set to leave, and got lucky that they had 2 spots available. The cruise is about 45 minutes round trip. Once you board on the very clean and comfortable boat, the bartender takes the drink orders, which are extra of course. I got the Zombie and husband got a mai tai, and both were good and strong. The captain gave us a good tour around Morro Bay, and we saw so many otters! I really enjoyed that. read more

We have seen these boats in Morro for years and never thought to look into them. Looked them up and immediately was hooked on the price and offerings. It was a windy day, so we nervously walked into the shop to see if them, like many others, have cancelled their sailings into the evening. We overheard the clerk speaking to the group in front of us, that they have no more day time cruises due to wind. The whole conversation was not about the wind, but how Lost Isle could offer the best experience to a visitor. Some of the most genuine customer service I have heard. They truly care about the customer experience. Wife and I went up and they thankfully were still running sunset cruises, albeit on the bigger boat, which worked out since it had bathrooms, all the same offerings, and was larger to offset the wind and waves . We spent 60 bucks for two for a sunset cruise and it was absolutely beautiful. Great drinks, great boat, great crew. We saw plenty of otters, enjoyed the beautiful sunset and had the best time. If you have even one hour to kill in Morro, look to Lost Isle for a great time on the water. read more

Everything about this sweet harbor cruise was magical! The air and weather in the harbor was perfect. We went on Saturday, 8/30/25. The captain and bartender were so professional and fun. Captain Beau and deckhand Kai were very nice and knowledgable. Kai would always check in on passengers offering refreshment, blankets and giving us facts about grey and humpback whales. Not a lot to see until our way back to dock when two massive humpback whales finally showed themselves. Captain Beau did his best to get us close (within a safe distance) to the whales. He was kind enough to also swing by the dock to check on the sea lions. We would do this again! read more

Took an harbor cruise which was 45 minutes for only $25. The two men who took us were very informative about harbor sea life: harbor seals, and the many otters close up. They offered beer and wine for sale. It was nice get so close to the otters. read more

My husband and I took the Tiki sunset cruise last week and we had a blast. We checked in with David inside their shop and he was very informative and helpful. We got on the boat at 7pm. The boat looks like a floating tiki bar-so fun! The seat were comfortable and we all had plenty of room. Mike was our bartender and made some great drinks. They have a classic tiki bar menu but you can also order anything else you'd like. Grant was our captain and between him and Mike they provided a very fun evening. Unfortunately, it was foggy as heck so we did not see a sunset. We did, however, see lots of wildlife-sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, herons and cormorants. I would highly recommend checking these guys out and taking a ride! Also, I get sea sick and it was really nice to have an option to get on the water without having to endure possible sea sickness. read more

Such a fun trip! We opted for the tiki bar cruise and we're not disappointed. Our captain was awesome, cracking jokes, sharing history, and we even got to see some whales off in the distance at the end of the cove. She pointed out their blows and we saw some tails! Never thought we would get that opportunity on a tiki boat, but so glad we did. We also saw lots of otters and seal lions! A must do if you are visiting Morro Bay. Last minute decided to try a little boat tour before leaving the area. I called the number on Yelp and got a quick answer and confirmation that there was space on the sunset tiki bar boat ride at 6:45pm on a Saturday. We checked in at 6:30pm and paid $30 per person for an hour ride around the bay. The drink in the souvenir cup was $25 and refills in the cup were $20 each. There was no narration for this ride but the staff was willing to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend this boat ride! read more

Phenomenal whale watching tour. Family owned and operated. Captain is very personate and knowledgeable. You can tell he loves what he does. Comes out of the cabin and actually talks to the passengers. Saw a gray whale and a mom and baby humpback whale. Awesome experience for our vacation here at Morro bay. Newer business in the bay with great owners who are super helpful and friendly. We really didn't know what we were going to do when it came to trolling around the bay, and they made it super easy and affordable. We went whale watching with Capt. Dane (I think), and naturalist/first mate Emily. We had a great time and did see some whales. One of the whales was tangled in a crab trap, and Emily contacted NOAA and explained how they would help the whale. Very educational. My only suggestion would be a P.A. system on the boat as it was very hard to hear Emily over the boat motors. read more

We were a group of 10 and had a wonderful time going around the harbor. So many things to see, surfers coming in, sea lions, otters, the sunset and the moon rise. Very disappointed in our experience with you today. Compared to our last adventure today was terrible. Our last experience included a lot of valuable and interesting information about Morro Bay in general and the aquatic life of the bay. The captain was very knowledgeable and very articulate and quite a contrast to today. The captain of today's trip spent most of his time talking and visiting with the people in the first two rows. We were further back and could hear very little of what he was saying. This was not the case on our last visit a year ago. Even the kid taking our reservation yesterday was unskilled and frustrating to talk to. Don't know what's going on with your company but it's not good and I will not recommend you in the future nor will I spend any more money with you. We were told that the group on board determines what information is given by the captain. That is so lame and so unprofessional. How do you discern what people want from a tour? We did not fill out any kind of a questionnaire to let you know what we were expecting. Most of your passengers probably have no previous experience with you and don't know any better but for those of us who know what you used to be today was a huge disappointment. It appears that your new staff are sorely lacking in proper training. But that seems to be par for the course these days for most businesses. read more
