Went to have brunch with our neighbors and they brought us here to this cute little cafe. There's indoor/outdoor seating and dog friendly. We were seated quickly outdoors and service was quick and prompt. I got Anne's Favorite and upgraded to the lemon ricotta pancakes. Everything was delicious. Especially my mocha. Will definitely be coming back again!

Mike & Anne's is one of those places that feels welcoming the moment you step inside. The host was warm and friendly as we passed by several times and finally decided to give it a try. The atmosphere inside is a nice balance between relaxed and charming - ideal for everything from a casual brunch to a special night out. Our server was super friendly and professional. The food is was delicious. I got the huevos rancheros. Beautiful presentation. A bed of rice with black beans layered on top either the eggs perfectly made sunny side up. Soo fresh and tasty with the zesty chorizo and a flavorful green salsa.

Just came for brunch. I am amazed of how nice this little restaurant was. They got a huge outdoor patio for dining. So if you are a fans of outdoor dining. This is a good place for you. Parking is definitely one of the drawbacks of this restaurants. Only street parking were available for this restaurant. I came during a weekday morning, it's already not an easy job to find a parking spot. Can't imagine coming here on a weekend Food is alright. Typical brunch menu and food. The choices is pretty limited for a breakfast place. It's lacking flexibility in their menu. Customizable menu like omelette or scramble would be a big plus. Price is definitely on one of the high side as a brunch place. Service is not excellent but alright. Overall, a nice dining place for small groups that love to chat their ways. Outdoor patio dining look especially nice, a great place for spring/summer!

Delicious food, coffee and all items came exactly and as ordered. Lovely open air outdoor and indoor space as well.

Mike & Anne's has been on my list for a while. It's definitely one of those nice, classy date spots for brunch. Upon arriving, the hostess welcomed my friend and I, and we were able to be seated within a few minutes. Service was fairly quick, and I ordered their Farmer's Scramble. The Farmer's Scramble was ready within 10-15 minutes, and overall, everything was as expected from eggs to roasted potatoes. In the scrambled eggs were mushrooms, which are probably my weakness but also ham, which is one I often dislike. Overall, the ham contributed to the saltiness, and I found the scrambled eggs too salty to enjoy. There was also ketchup, which was slightly necessary to make the eggs tolerable. The buttered toast was a nice side, and towards the end, the servers were quick and prompt with the check. Overall, whether dining inside in the shaded, darker atmosphere or the outside patio by the sunlit fountain, both environments are enjoyable. Despite this, the price versus food quality left a bit more than atmosphere to be desired, though, and I'm sad to have had higher expectations of Mike & Anne's prior to visiting.

Mike and Anne's never disappoints, tbh. I have been coming here for years, and tried all sorts of things, and haven't found something I absolutely dislike. The staff is great- friendly and helpful, the ambiance is open and airy. It is a place you can come by yourself, or with a large group. The food is top quality, from the salads to sandwiches, to breakfast options as well.

Stopped in for brunch and ordered the Garden Omelette (delicious), a side of bacon, and one Lemon Ricotta Pancake for the table. One thing to note: there's only one espresso machine in the entire restaurant, so if your table orders multiple espresso-based drinks, expect them to come out one at a time. No oat milk available, only almond and whole milk. Their yogurt bowls use Greek yogurt. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes were just okay; nothing standout. For two people, our total for 2 almond-milk lattes, 1 yogurt bowl, a garden omelette, side of bacon, and one side of a lemon ricotta pancake came to $65 before tip, over $77 with tip. Pretty pricey for what it was. Ambiance is clean and pleasant, service was friendly. Overall, though, nothing felt extraordinary for the price. It simply felt like... South Pasadena breakfast brunch minus the mimosas / alcohol.

Came here for brunch on a holiday weekend. Me and my friends got outdoor seating cause it was such a nice day. Great place for a date lol prob cause service was so slow! We ordered the Anne's breakfast with the upgrade to lemon ricotta pancakes and the breakfast burrito. The pancakes were good and fresh. The burrito was just a burrito..... Get the pancakes

Servers are sweet, love the courtyard outdoor seating but my family usually prefers sitting inside. Love coming here for breakfast/brunch. The buttermilk pancakes were delicious. Came for dinner for the first time. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Also ordered the burger and fries. Fried were good, their ranch was delicious. They ran out of bread during that night's service. Bummer. For dessert we got both this apple tart and bread puffing. The apple dessert wasn't something I would order again but that bread pudding with caramel and ice scoop was delicious.

Came back here for dinner and decided to update my review. Short rib - 5/5 - this was so amazing! Highly recommend this dish. It was cooked perfectly and everything in the dish had so much flavor - perfectly creamy mashed potatoes, roasted garlic bits, the roasted onion was to die for, and the green beans were just the right amount of cooked. My husband almost licked his plate clean! Mussels - 3.5/5 - pretty good! Not the best I've had but still good! Bread pudding - 5/5 - it was perfectly cooked, some bread pudding is too dense and hard, this was just right! Very tasty! Overall this dinner was incredibly, and I was so pleasantly surprised based on other reviews I've read so definitely wanted to update!

This outdoor patio is really large and everything I've had on the menu has been just right. Breakfast is solid and so are the lunch options. Service is really great too! Quick friendly and made to enjoy!

Loved this place! The patio is so cute and has ample seating! The service was prompt and attentive. The food was great too. The lemon ricotta pancakes delivered and they happily gave us more syrup. The veggie omelet was delicious too with giant chunks of goat cheese. The potatoes were generous and came with sauteed onions too.

This was such a lovely brunch spot! They have a giant pet friendly balcony and friendly staff. The food was really good too! Pancakes were so fluffy and delicious and I really enjoyed the garden omelette filled with goat cheese. As others have noted, however, we did experience some issues with ordering. They lost our order so we had to wait a little longer than normal. But the waiter was very nice once he caught the mistake and comped our drinks for us. I'll definitely go back but follow up with my order a little sooner if I notice I've been waiting for a while

We sat outside, which was perfect for a quieter, more intimate dinner. A train passes by every so often, which gave it a cool New York vibe, but next time I'd probably sit inside. The interior looked much more lively and energetic, and they even have an upstairs seating area. We ordered the biscuits, tuna tartare, shrimp, a burger, and fries, and everything was fantastic. The biscuits were easily the highlight. Warm, buttery, crisp on the outside, and incredibly comforting. I was pleasantly surprised at the welcoming staff and warm ambiance. Going to slide one complaint in here, the noise level in the upstairs portion of the restaurant is LOUD. We sat upstairs and it was pretty difficult to hear my friends talk from just across the table. We powered through, and by the second half of our meal, most diners had finished and left us upstairs with only a couple of lingering parties. THEN this place became GREAT! Here's all that we stuffed ourselves with during the cacophony of chatter: flaky buttermilk biscuits, honey butter (3pc; please allow 20 minutes) - totally worth the 20 mins!! Super buttery and flaky, I might go back JUST FOR THIS! crispy calamari, horseradish cocktail sauce - great little kick in the sauce. Perfectly lightly battered. fideos, clams, chorizo, saffron, sweet sherry aïoli - mmmm, this was delicious. The Spanish chorizo enhanced the broth with a good saltiness. white shrimp from the griddle, aïoli - this was my favorite. The shrimp was not overcooked and peeled easily. The flavor was good enough to slurp the juices out. single burger, prime chuck, tillamook cheddar, dijonaise, egg brioche bun & crispy french fries - good meaty burger, love the dijonaise, GREAT shoestring fries. Parking is a little challenging during the day, not so bad in the evening. It's South Pas, a little neighborhood walk after dinner never hurts.

(You can choose bottled or tap). Our server's name Jennifer was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. We ordered the horseradish crusted salmon and the steak frites and our friends ordered the truffle mushroom tagliatelle and the filet mignon. We were all extremely happy and satisfied with our entrees. The portions are perfect. No doggy bags needed and no room for dessert. I really enjoyed the broccolini that accompanied my salmon--it was cooked just enough to retain a little crunch. The savory sauce on the salmon was subtle and complimentary to the flaky fish. We sat in the bar room of this restaurant that used to be a house. The patio looked lovely too, especially on a summer evening so maybe we'll choose that next time. Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.
