Nightmare from day one. Back in March or April I purchased a 2014 Toyota Tundra limited from lost pines. To this day I do not know my salesman's name. My truck had a 3" lift kit installed. I wanted to go to a 6" lift so I paid Lost Pines to install me a 6" lift, they installed a 4.5" lift and put spacers in to make it look like a 6". To this date my truck has been in the shop more than I get to drive it. I have calls into Toyota about this issue now. I paid 60,000.00 for a nice truck that Lost Pines has ruined. My advice is no one ever buy a truck from these people but if you do please do not have them install anything to it, they have no idea what they are doing. Huge mistake buying from these people. Negotiate your offer over email or in writing. Then double check your financing to make sure that the terms in the paperwork match the offer you got in writing. I negotiated a price, was sent a final quote in email, went into the dealership, waited around for an hour, was handed the paperwork and expected to just sign... and it didn't match my offer. Then I waited around while they discussed it. It turns out the salesperson had agreed to a number that his manager never signed off on. The manager couldn't give me the number the salesperson promised IN WRITING. So I walked out. 40 minute drive to Bastrop + 1.5 hours spent at the dealership + 40 minute drive back to Austin = 3 hours of my life wasted. Buyer beware. read more

Maybe I'm old school, but when someone purchases a $35,000.00 new vehicle and the tags finally arrive, they should either put them on for you or mail them to you. Neither happened, we had to drive over to wait in line for the reception person to find them and hand them to me. I'm a 100% disabled Veteran, I don't expect them to give me anything and they don't "only active duty qualify for any program or discount" per Adam my Salesperson. But I would expect someone with visible limitations and disabilities (I have (2) two very bad legs, a bad arm and Parkinson's, it's very apparent that I can only walk with the assistance of a walker or cane) would at least be asked if they needed help putting them on. I personally think they should offer to install everyones new tags, but I guess once they have your money, they don't care anymore. They don't mind plastering their name on the bracket and on the temporary front tag, but don't offer to put the new tags on? What's wrong with these people? The Salesperson Adam, is another reason they only got (2) two stars. If I knew when I bought my Tacoma, what I know now, I would have ask for a different Salesperson, or gone somewhere else to spend my money. Adam, is a nice enough guy, but he'll promise you the moon and fails to deliver. After the sale, he couldn't figure out some of the features, so he then tried to tell us that the new Tacoma we bought didn't have the features listed on the window sticker. The truth was, Adam didn't know how to activate the features. Not very professional in my opinion. Chad in the Service Department seems to be wonderful and probably should get 5-stars, but didn't because of the Sales Department. If you need Service, ask for Chad, he took care of what Adam was giving me the run around on. The first 270 miles on the new truck were all spent going back and forth to Adam at Lost Pines Toyota. Believing that Adam was telling us the truth, only to find out he wasn't or didn't know what he was talking about. And if he tells you he'll call you back, DO NOT BELIEVE HIM because after many promised call backs that never happened, one that I waited a week for and another that He said he'd call back within minutes and I finally drove over there late in the afternoon to finally talk to him. I'm not sure that Lost Pines Toyota will ever be considered when I purchase a new vehicle, we'll see if Chad and their Service Department can provide a better experience than Adam and their Sale Department did. read more

I moved back to Texas and decided to get a car. After some test drives, I decided on the Prius and locked into a fair price through Edmonds, which sent my name and contact information to every Toyota dealership between Round Rock and San Antonio, and all the way out to Houston. Charlie Akin called and was very no nonsense - he wanted my business and was able to beat all of the prices of the dealerships around me. He quoted me a drive out price over the phone and worked with me to get zero APR financing for the car. Never once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of or unduly pressured; it was definitely a five star experience. This is in heavy duty contrast to other dealerships that changed car salesmen on me or who called me incessantly for weeks. I am knocking off a star because the manager of the financing department treated me rudely after I declined all of the additional upcharges. He should have been more respectful and less socially awkward; I can't have been the first woman to get 0% APR on a new car and refuse all of the dealership's upcharges. I just wasted a trip to Bastrop for a recalled part replacement. The necessary part was not on site, and was ordered only after I arrived on site. 3 days ago I called a national Toyota recall number for a part replacement for an airbag. They took all of my contact & vehicle details over the phone and made an appointment for me at Lost Pines Toyota which was seamless and easy - great. For 3 days I got email and text confirmations and reminders about my appointment for my recall - fine. I pull in on time the day of the appointment and they anticipate it's for the recall, and I am told it will take just 1.5 hours - this is going really well. 20 minutes later I am told they do not have the replacement part, but not to worry...it has now been ordered, but don't know when it will arrive. It could have been orders 3 days ago. I leave with no estimate of when it will arrive, nor any support to find another local dealer with the part. Total waste of my time, and delay in getting the necessary part of no other local dealers have it. Recommendation: If going in for a recall appointment, make a second call in advance directly to this dealer. They can't (or won't) check to see if they have what they need prior to you showing up. read more

I had a good idea of what I was looking for, I had been pre-approved by my bank so I knew exactly how much I wanted to spend and the salesperson Caitlin did not listen to a word of what I was saying. They ignored the fact that I already had my own financing. They ignored the fact that I came down there for a specific price point. They ignore customers in general. No joke...DON'T go to Lost Pines Toyota. I had the worst experience, spent 4 hours of the day and a 45 minute drive each way to Bastrop because they had a good advertised internet deal for $6900. They tried to get me to take it at $9500 because they add nitro to the tires and have this stupid lowjack system. Here's a hint... if I can't decline those additional "options" then they are part of the price of the car and it should be advertised as such. read more

They spend a lot of time telling you how different and customer-friendly they are but really no different than any other dealership. They were nice but they play the same games as any others. The real "peeve" I have with the car buying process is that the deal always, *always* changes when you get to finance. (Similar experience to Joanna V. in another review) Whether its the specific car you're wanting not eligible for the special financing rate, or the deal you cut with sales included finance cash-back that isn't offered with the 0% deal. In this case it was the latter. They use the cover of miscommunication between sales and finance every time. I have bought many cars and I know the drill and never enjoy it. I'm always thinking "you sell how many cars a day and sit right next to each other and still you can't get on the same page? Right." Again, not any better or worse than any other dealership - they can't help themselves, its the way cars are sold in America for decades. It feels disingenuous and I always resent it a little bit. EDIT: I'm going to leave the review as-is but up to 4 Stars for one reason. Drove an hour to pickup a used truck which I assumed had been sold to me. Needing only signatures to make it official. Given this is mid pandemic I did as much as we could remote to only have to sign and pickup the day after the trade in and credit were set. Just as I arrive im told the truck was just sold to someone who isn't even present. They offered to price me into a new truck that matched the trim. After the test drive on a new truck, I'm then told the person who bought the truck from under me has agreed to let me purchase the truck instead. I sign a price/trade in/purchase agreement. I go out for a test drive again, now on the original truck. They then come back saying the person's family member (friend of the dealership) called and demanded the truck back and so they did just that. Here I am, an hour commute, an hour and a half between test drive and sitting at the salesman desk. I am told again I'll be priced in a new truck that matched the trim to "make things right". I assumed this meant a discounted price but it was nothing more of a 0% - 1.9% interest loan as is advertised to anyone with good interest. What was supposed to be a quick "signature and pickup", to avoid exposure, turned into hours of mine and the salesman time wasted. Lost Pines Toyota did not care for my time, mine or their employees' health, or my business whatsoever. I can not recommend this type of business to anyone. read more

Purchased a 2017 Chevy Silverado from Lost Pines Bastrop (buying process took about 5 hours), within 24hours of driving off the lot the trucks "transmission hot" light came on. My husband had to go out of town for work and had to pull over 3x. Called dealership and they advised to just bring it back, so they wanted him to drive it over 250 miles with a hot transmission. They stated it could just be a bad module. Why would they think taking the chance for something else to go wrong is ok? They should have had it towed back to the dealership. Husband turned around, missed work and returned it to the dealership the same day. They gave us a rental vehicle, which they didn't have a truck available and argued about a $10 difference bwtn to other vehicles in which they gave us the cheaper one (used cars paid the bill), 3 days later the truck was repaired, it was a transmission thermostat that was bad. I personally will never go back to this dealership for the simple fact in 40 years of buying cars I have NEVER had an issue with a vehicle 24 hours after purchase and they were not very accommodating when the problem occurred. Now praying that it last and doesn't have more problems. read more

If I could rate this dealership 0 stars, I would. My sister's lease is up and my father and brother went to Lost Pines to figure out if they are going to finance the vehicle or return it back to Toyota. Wendy Flores, the sales specialist, was wonderful and very helpful. Leasing/ Financing a vehicle is never easy. It is a lot of work, stress and time from both ends so we understand that this wouldn't be resolved in a day. While my brother and father were at the dealership, Wendy informed them that we are two payments behind which is false so my brother asked her to double check because on our end, the payments are up to date. Wendy then came back with the finance manager, Carrie Detrixhe, who then said to my brother "we've tried everything we can, we have nothing here for you, y'all can leave"....how awful and unprofessional do you have to be to speak to a customer like that? There is no excuse for an adult to take their frustration out on a customer/ client, let alone tell them to leave when they need help. We can easily go to another dealership but we live in Bastrop and businesses in the area are for the Bastrop community. Mind you, they drove in heavy rain to the dealership in hopes of resolving the situation. As a young professional and a customer service specialist, this is appalling. I could expect this from an employee but a manager? Absolutely unacceptable. I suggest corporate or whoever is supervising this branch to provide professional, I mean PROFESSIONAL training. Your employees represent you and your brand. Horrible and disgusting representation. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Jim, Let me start by saying that I will definitely give you a call and attempt to address this item by item, as I have here as well (as I think it is important to keep this written chain)... This is what I had attempted to do for nearly an hour one day before I drove down there, but kept hearing from reception "I can see him at his desk, but he's not picking up" (not a reassuring feeling for a customer with an issue). I will be curious to see what remedies if any are offered to try and find a solution. I will do my best to address each issue point by point that you have in your response. - Your surprise I chose to voice my issue here: As you stated, I called and drove out there multiple times to voice my displeasure at the way the purchase was progressing. I voiced my concerns to both the salesperson and the new car manager. Never were you involved in this directly/from my perspective, so I don't know how you would have any idea what lengths I went to in order to voice my concerns besides what your staff tells you. - The Deal: We had planned on buying two vehicles from you, however, the numbers weren't right, so we decided to keep our 2013 and instead trade in the older 2011 Raptor to get back into a warranty. That was the only sales order written, so I'm not sure what effect or bearing that has on any of this. - My "internet research": When you've signed a sales order based on the promises made by the sales manager, and then get told he was incorrect in what he'd thought about that specialty vehicle and admits they'd never dealt with one after the fact, what choice did I have but to try and better my own situation through research? Obviously the staff I'd placed my faith in didn't have it by their own admission. When someone points to a truck on the lot and says "we can make this truck look like that", and you purchase based on that, only to be told that was inaccurate, it's a pretty awful feeling. It is also not a good sign when you get home and calculate the metric tire size on your "we owe" slip and it's .2" different than stock, a far cry from the example he showed me. Which means either he had no idea, or knowingly deceived me. My debate was sincere between a TSS and the TRD PRO, with both options needing to be modified similarly to the other trucks you had, and ultimately I did want the added resale value of the TRD... all of this was discussed with your sales manager and my decision was made based on the assurances I was given. period. - We gave you the option to back out: This is absolutely false. The only option I was given was to cut me a check back for the "we owe" items you'd rolled into my note and walk away with a bone stock truck, that I didn't like to begin with... neither of these scenarios would have remedied my situation. Never after learning of these issues (paperwork was signed the next day after my test drive and before any issues arose) was I offered a way back out of the truck or into a different vehicle. No further solutions were offered whatsoever, I want to be very clear on that in case you have been mislead or are attempting to mislead others reading this. In closing, I will call you and try to see what is offered as a remedy, realizing you have only one side of this story to go on previously. I will update both reviews openly and honestly afterwards based on our conversation. read more

I had a 100,000 service policy. Just at 75,000 miles every time I went in I needed new cabin air filters. At 90,000, I was charged for the service despite the policy plus again cabin filters. My sales rep left shortly after my purchasing a 2012 Camry Hybrid. The car is a great vehicle. I get it serviced elsewhere now. I will not buy there again. read more

I bought my 4Runner at another dealership years ago and was concerned (when I got a recall for my airbag) that I would have to go back to that dealership to have it repaired. I called Lost Pines Toyota and set up an appointment for the repair. They were able to get me in just a couple of days later. I was told that it would take about 3 hours for the repair. The have a very nice waiting area with a free beverage area (coffee, water, and sodas), TV and wifi. They were able to finish the job in under an hour! Chad was so helpful. If I ever have another issue with my toyota, I won't hesitate to use them again! read more

I want to say first that I loved Lost Pines Toyota so much the first two years they were open that I kept telling people to buy their cars from them, but it is not the same business any longer. Here is my horrible experience just trying to get a simple GAP insurance and extended warranty refund, and I am a customer that has purchased 7 cars from Lost Pines Toyota! I have been owed a refund for GAP insurance and extended warranty since trading in a vehicle in March. I signed cancellation papers in March and was told they had not been processed in April, at which time I submitted the cancellation forms twice by email and one time in person. In June, I was told that the refund had still not been processed and that Toyota accounting would cut my check the first week of July. On July 5, I was told by accounting that the refund STILL not been processed and that Toyota would mail me a check within about 15 days. On August 18, I was told by finance that the refund STILL had not been processed and that they had no signed cancellation forms from me - the very forms that I had submitted four times in March and April. I then reached out to an assistant sales manager there who told me that he would have accounting cut a check for me that would be ready by August 21. As of today, August 22, Toyota has not contacted me with my check. Furthermore, over the last five months, I have left many, many messages because I am always directed to someone's voicemail when I call. Except for a phone call from the assistant sales manager, I have NEVER received a return phone call, not from my sales person when I purchased a car in May, nor from finance or accounting. The effort it takes to speak to anyone other than the operator is ridiculous. If this is how they treat loyal customers who have bought 7 new cars from them, I can only imagine how they must treat others. read more

Last week I took my RAV4 for spark plugs and oil and filter change. I have been to Lost Pines Toyota many time. I always put synthetic oil in my RAV4. This time they put conventional oil. When I told the advisor to look at my past work orders, she replied, "no, conventional." As soon as I got home I pulled my previous work orders at Lost Pines and they showed synthetic oil. I wrote the Service manager and I got no response. I then wrote 1 of the owners and I got no response. Poor customer service. I will not go back. I cannot trust them and they won't even respond to a customer issue. read more

I just recently purchased a Tundra from Heather at Lost Pines Toyota. I've never been more pleased with a sales person in my life. She actually knows about the vehicles she sells, and she is quick to step in to help with whatever you need. I have yet to see how the service department will work out on a long term basis, a bit concerned about the 85 year old lady in an earlier review, but everybody has been very helpful and gracious so far. I got a scratch on my new truck and went to the service dept. to ask what to buy. Instead they fixed it for me right there on the spot. A few years back I bought a used (2006) Camry from Lost Pines Toyota. It ran fine, and I kept everything in good shape, now two years later the motors of both the cooling fans need to be replaced. Both of them. Also the water pump suddenly needs to be replaced. I have had this car a little over two years and it is suddenly falling apart? I was also told by James that one tire is bald on the inside. When I mentioned that I had an agreement with Discount Tires to replace tires that need it, he told me that they wouldn't because "the wearing was caused by the alignment, and that was the car's fault." What does that even mean? The car's fault? They want $1200+ to make a car I've babied for TWO YEARS driveable. The sad part of this is that up until this point, I've had nothing but great service from them. I have bragged on them and recommended them to friends and family. I am so, so, so disappointed to find out that they are like this. read more

We reserved a vehicle months ahead at enterprise and they ended up not even letting us rent any vehicles because the staff wouldn't accept our card/cash and even locked our card for swiping it too many times. We called Toyota and got a rental right when they were closing while enterprise refused to help us when we spent the entire day there! Just bought a used 2012 Ford Escape from this place. Very typical scumbag hard sell dealership. I live in Houston and have been looking for a good deal on a used Escape for a while now. Saw this one online and called to confirm they still have it. They did so I headed to buy it. Typical back and forth and we finally settled on a price and financing terms. I can't tell you how many times another "salesman" came in to interrupt our negotiation and said something along the lines of "Are you guys working on the Ford Escape out there? Someone just called asking about it." I hope you can see my eyes rolling. After terms were settled, I signed the contract and left with the SUV. I get home and look at the contract/invoice more carefully and notice a $1,500 "shop fee" added to the final price that I must have thought was part of the taxes. I don't know about you but for a used car, a "shop fee" better be built into the final price. I called to complain, they said the shop fee was a normal thing for repairs done on the car. I basically said screw that, I am returning the car. I drive back to Lost Pines from Houston and am about to return the car when they finally agree to take off the $1,500 extra charge. If I wanted a car I would have to pay to fix right away, I would have bought one off craiglist. In the end, I got the car I wanted for the correct price, but the hassle of driving from Houston and back twice and the overall car buy experience there was the worst I have ever had at a dealership. Upon my return from test driving a couple of RAV4's, Joy had me fill-out the application, etc... it was late so she said they would finish up tomorrow and they would be in touch. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HER OR ANYONE ELSE!!!! I was tempted to call and check status, but I refused b/c they should have called me with status-Good or bad news! Next thing I know, I get a denial letter from Toyota, apprently if you don't qualify for financing with Toyota, they don't bother with you nor did they submit it to other financing. Sooooo unless you have A1 credit (and white) don't bother giving them your business. I know I never will. P.S.
