    Lamb Chops!

Friendly bartender who shared some history about the owners. Went with friends over 4th of July weekend. We shared the southern sampler and goat cheese salad but we're so flavorful with a mix of ingredients that awakens my taste buds. We had a wonderful bottle of wine recommended by our waitress and we all enjoyed our entrees. I had the lamb chops- a generous portion with mashed potatoes. We also ordered the mac & cheese - toasted and creamy. Ended with the blueberry crumble- super flaky and light. Recommend sitting outside on the beautiful porch to enjoy their garden too. Thanks for a great end to the weekend.

Excellence in presentation and taste in Berkeley Springs? I guess I would have to be a nitpicker to find anything to complain about. We chose Lot 12 because it was about the same distance for all the couples attending the grandparents celebration dinner. This hidden gem in Berkeley Springs is located off the main drag on a hill. The restaurant is a converted house built in 1913, and according to the write up, the cuisine is "upscale comfort." The dining rooms are just that, rooms in an old house. I have you eaten in many of of these types of places and I have to admit I like the ambulance. There's not much ADA ado about the place, but the management allowed us to drive a car close to the side door to allow our mobility challenged friend easy access. Much appreciated! Our reservation was for 8 pm and we were seated quickly. Our server had a bubbly personality, and although none of us got any wine, she didn't seem to be disappointed. Keep in mind this is a fixed price menu, something I had forgotten about between the time I was doing my research and our dinner. That shouldn't deter anyone as the variety of appetizer, entrée and desert is more than adequate, the food is a strong, eight out of 10 without question. For appetizers, we had potato and wild ramp soup, green salad, a cheddar cheese soup, and a pasta in a cream sauce with morels. In addition to the regular menu, there was also a special menu, and some of these appetizers and entrées that we describe came from both of the menus. The soups were terrific, lots of flavor, Ignore beautiful presentation and the seasoning was correct--not an overuse of salt. For our entrées, we had a lobster in cream sauce, seared scallops with potatoes, three filet mignons, and spring garden risotto. There was not a disappointed taste bud among us. The fillets were prepared perfectly. The scallops were tender; not overly sweet, but OK. They had a good sear, but on one side only. Something that I struggle with as an amateur chef. Everyone who had a creamy sauce was well pleased. I guess you could kind of say this is the French part of the cuisine. This sauce, which is featured on the pasta appetizer as well as several of the entrées has lots of cream and butter! Making Julia Child proud. After our entrées, we were satisfied, but had to try the desserts. No one was disappointed with the apple dessert with ice cream, the cheesecake, or the Graham's port (for those who wanted to drink their dessert they were plenty of after dinner drinks selections). We also ordered a carrot cake and although it was good, the crumb was a bit pasty. Lot 12 public house is a great find. I wasn't expecting this level of cuisine in Berkeley Springs. Just to recap: it's a fairly good value at $75 per person; all the dishes are prepared very well; presentation is excellent!

Highly recommend Lot 12 for a delicious decadent meal in Berkeley springs. I was visiting for a little birthday getaway and was able to get last minute reservations (definitely call and get a reservation). The 3 course meal was delicious, I got the southern sampler to start, scallops for my entree and had to get the lemon ricotta cheesecake to go. Everything was delicious, even the olive oil and bread. All in a very cute house from the 1900s. Everyone should stop in while in Berkeley Springs!

Wonderful meal and evening at this gem in Berkeley Springs. We both enjoyed potato and ramp soup, followed by quail and waffles for my husband and halibut for me. We finished the meal with delicious pineapple upside down and chocolate torte. Cozy ambiance, great food and delightful service. Our server, Olivia, was so personable and made the evening extra enjoyable.

What the Menu price is not on the app?

From what I recall, its a seasonal/daily menu created by the chef and owner. For the quality of the food and service, it was priced like a formal nice restaurant yet reasonable.

We were a party of 2 and asked to sit outside. The hostess had a table quickly cleaned off for us and were sat within 2 minutes - it's beautiful outside - love the little sting lights, mountain/hills and got to see several trains pass through. Our server was fantastic - I didn't catch his name, but very attentive and friendly. When we ordered the Charcuterie Board, he said we wouldn't be disappointed and he was right. Not only was the presentation impressive - love the wooden boards- it was generous amounts! Two large cheeses (Fontina and Brie), two types of meats (prosciutto and a spicy salami type), candied walnuts, blueberries, mix of Kalamata and green olives, fig jam, and baguette. Great quality, great quantity, and so good! We ended up taking about a 1/3 of it home with us and enjoyed next day with sourdough from Bolivar Bread. The food at other tables looked just as delicious. I'd absolutely return next time I'm back in Harper's Ferry.

The table had an umbrella, so we were able to enjoy the outdoors without being in the sun. We ordered the Cobb Salad ($20) and Red Rice and Hemp Burger ($15) with a side salad instead of fries (additional $2 for the salad). The Cobb salad was very good. Large portion with big chunks of moist chicken. The salad was fresh and tasty. Italian dressing was good. The "Hemp" Burger was a new one on me, but essentially i understand it is a rice-based burger with Hemp seeds for protein. It comes in a large bun with caramelized onion and bbq sauce. I liked it. It has a mild flavor, the patty is pretty soft and the combination of flavors was very pleasant. The "side" salad was large and very fresh. I enjoyed the vinaigrette very much. Unfortunately, our server went AWOL after dropping off our food. We had a question and he wasn't around. My water glass was empty and no sight. My partner's water glass was empty for a while and - I kept looking around - but no sighting. I finally did something I hate to do, which is to call over another server, but we both were thirsty and needed something to drink. That server was very nice and promptly came over with a water pitcher for us. The bad service really wrecked what was otherwise a good meal in a nice atmosphere. So, here's the thing. I considered giving 3 stars for this review based on the service. (We actually thought the server had quit - it was ridiculous - the place wasn't crowded at all.). But, the other servers in the area were working really hard and one did come over quickly to help out, so I'm going to hope for the best. I do want to send a message in this review to the restaurant that this did leave a bad feeling. I doubt we'll be back. Too bad.

I was sad to hear they only serve chicken and waffles at breakfast. WHYYY??!!! Please add this to lunch and dinner. Our waitress was on point. Super friendly and refilled the sweet tea before it got halfway. I ordered the famous fried chicken and was pretty happy with the food. The baked potato was fine, it was just on the smaller size (4inches long it was literally the length of my size 6 lady finger). Mac and cheese was good, It did have some black spots but I chalk it up to coming in a 730pm. The roll was bland would not recommend. My fiance ordered the BBQ sandwich and onion rings. He is particular and was also very happy with his food. The other thing I would say is consider changing the hours. Closing at 8pm is insane, at least 4 tables arrived at 745pm! I say this because I know the competition is Martinsburg Family and that is open 24/7 I would reconsider the hours. I'm certain since the food was good you could justify a 10pm closure time but I'm just giving an opinion. I'd still go back.

We were immediately seated, which in itself is no small feat for a group of 8. Drinks came out fast and right. We ordered off the menu, with no weird requests, and the food also came out fast. The portions are VERY generous, considering the prices are quite reasonable. The decor looks like most other truck stops, but this one has award-winning local photographs taken by (I think) one of the owners. Some of the photos are for sale as framed art, and are quite beautiful. If you're in Berkeley Springs, and you're hungry, don't drive by, don't let the outside fool you. Go in and get a great meal.

I don't frequent truck stops, but I'm pretty sure that most other truck stops don't have wait staff that wears medical scrubs as their "uniform". I'm not sure if this is normal attire, but it really doesn't matter to me. It's more like a snapshot of a small town rural American truck stop, so we'll see when we go back. And we will go back. The dining area is one big linoleum floored room with a register in the corner, and a kitchen through the back. One look at the register area, and you will think, "Ohhh, I bet you $5 they sell Lion Mints or American Legion poppies" Yeah NOW you know exactly what it looks like. There are many booths, a couple of half booths (maybe for handicap accessibility?) and some separate tables. We got a booth that was well worn on the seat. Certainly a good sign. Drink orders were taken, the standard, coffee and water. The young gentleman that brought out our drinks asked if we needed anything else. E asked for cream (sugar was already on the table). This guy, just like McGuyver, pulls three creamers out of his shirt pocket! What I wanted was something of a breakfast sampler. So, on the menu, you can get three french toasts, or three hotcakes. I asked for 2 french toast and 1 hotcake, and they gladly obliged. What nice people! Side of sausage, patty or links? I chose links. The french toast was good. The hotcakes were also good. They were not fantastic, but they were not terrible either. Just a smidge above average I'd say. My breakfast came with no powdered sugar, that's fine. Single pat tubs of Country Crock and the single serving Kraft breakfast syrup. Why does this matter? If you want maple syrup or butter, they may have it, but I didn't ask. If you're looking for a fancy breakfast, keep driving. You won't find it here. No strawberry stuffed pancakes or walnut french toast here. Straight up BS breakfast (that BS is for Berkeley Springs btw). Another quick note is that they appear to make keys and sell batteries as well. It is a truck stop after all.
