If you're looking for a break from pub food in Berkeley Springs, this is the place. We had a fabulous dinner. Do not miss the fried calamari - it's perfection and there is lots of it. We had two dishes (a salad and a pasta) with grilled shrimp and they were beautiful and delicious - almost like eating small lobsters. The outdoor seating was peaceful and gorgeous. However, the pasta both my sister and I got was bland and didn't have enough sauce. The meatballs were ok, but nothing to write home about. My Mom's fish was undercooked- raw in the middle. Our server took so long to take our order, I think she forgot about us. I've been wanting to stop in for a little while now. Today was the day (7/13/26). We were the only ones at the restaurant! The outdoor patio area was inviting, but it was a hot day so we decided to eat inside. There was a floor fan next to our table, so I'm assuming the HVAC wasn't working. Our waitress brought us water from a cold glass container, but it didn't have any ice so we had to ask for a couple classes of ice to keep our water cold. Our waitress offered that they were out of meatballs, beef for the Italian beef sandwich, and the chef thought it was too hot to turn the oven on to make Stromboli ... all were my top three choices Hubby ordered the Greek Gyro made with lamb. He said the lamb was just so-so and not authentic; just a piece of lamb reheated. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. The chicken was crispy, juicy and tender, but the pesto flavor was very weak and I couldn't taste the Gouda cheese. Both orders came with French fries. They were out of this world delicious and made with real potatoes, not frozen. The seasoning was a little salty, but a dab of ketchup, evened it out. We thought the prices were a little salty overall and there really wasn't a lot of Italian or Mediterranean type entrées to choose from. Service was solid from all team members with the exception of the hostess who wasn't necessarily 'not pleasant' but, didn't also feel very welcomed by her. Maybe just a bad day. The squid pasta was delicious - perfectly al dente cooked pasta and never had anything like this dish. Pretty healthy portion of squid too. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in town. The food and staff were wonderful and the restaurant is so pretty - love all the wood! I had the Squid Pasta and it was wonderful - shrimp was cooked perfectly! The shrimp was still in the shell, with tails and heads, but it was worth peeling - so yummy! My husband had the Cacio e Pepe - like a light alfredo sauce with lime - fantastic! I don't understand the lower ratings, but don't believe them! You should go to this restaurant! Service was best I have had in a long time - Katelyn was fabulous! We've been looking forward to trying this restaurant, as the location has been in development for years and it looks very cute. That said, we just had what I would consider okay enough for consuming but way overpriced for what you get food and less than impressive service. First, we were offered spring water and well we assumed it was Berkeley Springs water but it was not. Had to chuckle about that. We were the only table getting food at the time and the entire wait staff let our food sit in the window while they chit chatted. Bartender walked right past it. Chicken piccata had no flavor. Same with the pasta dish my husband ordered. Brussels sprouts were very tasty, which is why they get two stars. We asked for sparkling water and the server brought another bottle of spring water. We didn't say anything or ask to have our food changed, we just wanted to give it a try and know that we'll go back to one of our tried and true places next time. I hope they can make some improvements because it has some potential. We'd gladly pay $70+ for a nice dinner there...that's not what we had, though. read more

We had a large group there and were only able to order off of the prix-fixe menu. The charcuterie board was tiny for the size of our group. The greek salad was good. The pesto gnocchi dish was very good but the chicken caper and rigatoni (actually penne) dish were very disappointing. Light on sauce, light on flavor. The tiramisu was deconstructed into a few kinds of creme and dry lady fingers. The lady fingers in tiramisu should be quite moist and spongy, this didn't qualify as tiramisu. Went here on a whim and was extremely disappointed. Almost every dish, out of 6 people, had some sort of issue. First of all, the salad that was supposed to have apples on it came with oranges and the skin attached...who eats the skin? Whatever no biggie. Oh they're actually out of apples. Thanks for the heads up! Then the gain bowl was supposed to come with quinoa but instead some unknown ball with no heads up, again, about the switch. Besides the "balls", it came with four shrimp. Four, unpeeled shrimp. The accommodations for these issues were close to none. Also extremely pricey for a tiny portion. read more

We absolutely loved everything other than the eggplant parm (maybe I'm just used to the way my mom makes it). The drinks and wine are excellent and the ambiance was so nice. This is a must-go to place in Berkeley Springs, WV! It's a lovely restaurant with lots of natural wood in the decor, giving it a warm and inviting place. Melissa was our waitress; very sweet and personable. She even helped me make a decision! The gnocchi with vodka sauce, mozzarella and basil was absolutely delicious! And they make their own pasta and sauces. My friend had a steak and he said it was done to perfection! It was on a bed of shiitake mushrooms risotto. Dessert was a personal lemon pie with marshmallows browned perfectly and raspberry cannolis. Of course, house made. And prices are very reasonable! You won't be disappointed! read more

We had an excellent lunch at the Vine Trattoria. The luncheon menu was limited, but the ingredients were fresh and the food freshly prepared. The wine list was a nice blend of reds and white. Unfortunately only two wines were available at lunch. We liked the decor and the service was excellent. Loved the traditional jazz background music. The restaurant has only been open four months. We are happy to see a nice new establishment in what had been previously a property with a burnt building. read more

I'm so glad that we have an Italian restaurant in town. The setting has great ambience and bar serves good cocktails. The Service staff are friendly and attentive. However, they do not communicate with the kitchen. We have eaten there on several occasions and several times after ordering the waiter comes out and tells that they are out of that item. Also, their menu is never accurate as most times several items are not available. They should have a daily chalkboard menu instead. Food is generally good. Some items excellent like the Tonnarelli but vary from each time we visit. We're hoping it is just a development issue after the initial management issues shortly after opening. read more

Dinner on 5/25/25 was perhaps the most unpleasant dining experience I have ever had. Let me start by saying it had little to do with the service and everything to do with the kitchen. We arrived for a 7 pm reservation and as we were being seated the host informed us that 3 of the 6 items on the regular menu were not available...and having looked at the menu before we arrived 3 of the 4 members of our party were instantly disappointed. After we ordered we were informed by our waitress that one of the dinner selections 2 of us had ordered instead was also no longer available. The focaccia was also not available but we were charged $5 for extra bread. When we finally received our dinners, to be charitable they were each underwhelming at best. The duck ordered by one of our group was inedible: tasteless and overcooked. The rolled steak another ordered was also overcooked and tough to cut, especially with the butter knife we were offered. The cauliflower mash it was served with was literally cold. Another in our group had the halibut....it was prepared well but it wasn't hot. The final member had a seafod dish with razor clams that were rubbery and inedible. The story continued with dessert. One of our group ordered tiramisu and, surprise, they were out, after having been assured that it was available. But our waitress told us they were in the process of making more and it would be out in a few minutes. We must define "few" differently because it took a full 25 minutes, at least, of sitting and waiting before dessert showed up. To add to the unpleasant experience, as we were leaving we noticed a couple that had arrived long after we did enjoying one of the dinner items from the main menu we were told was unavailable. And finally our bill was wrong and included a dinner item we didn't order. Yes, it was removed after we brought it to our server's attention but literally nothing went right. read more

My sister and I took our mother away for the week for her birthday and Mother's Day this pst week and decided to try this restaurant because it was recommended by where we were staying. We did not make reservations but they weren't very busy so we were seated at a table. Our server was a gentleman, not very personable, that met us at the entrance. We were brought our drinks (the house white wine which was very good) and given our menus. You couldn't hear each other talk due to the background music being so loud, not due to the patrons. We had to lean across the table to discuss what we wanted to eat. There were 4 main entries to choose from and when we asked our server about them they were out of 2 of them. Since I am partial to not being able to eat red sauce there really wasn't anything on the menu left so our little mama and I went with pasta with light red sauce and the side order of meatballs. My sister went with the eggplant entree. Her bowl was very small and we had to laugh because for the price it was surprising . Our meals were just okay and we won't go back there next year. The table next to us had a very good server, I wish I had gotten her name, and if you do go there ask for her. She was very personable!!! Hope this is helpful! Bon appetite! read more
