Sweet Traders were not only able to fit me in for a tasting but also make a 6" heart shaped cake, lambeth style with black lettering, all in less than a week for me!! They absolutely kicked butt! I chose the lemon blueberry cake with vanilla Bavarian filling and my goodness, IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! It was so wonderful that my guests absolutely raved about it and I hope to get a small version of it every year for our anniversary. They really had the perfect cake to icing to cream ratio annnd the cake was so moist. You can see the ratio in the picture. The top and side is their wonderful buttercream icing, then the lemon blueberry cake and vanilla Bavarian cream between each layer of cake. And just when I thought my experience with Sweet Traders couldn't get any better, their pricing was extremely reasonable and fair! I can't thank them enough, they really went above and beyond for me and my wedding in such a short notice. I highly recommend Sweet Traders, you will not regret ordering from them! You have 3 flavors and they give an extensive list of their flavors. We do love that the flavors are unique and very different from other bakeries around Orange County. We opted for the Red Velvet Cake Complimented with Cream Cheese Filling, Espresso Vanilla Cake Complimented with Tiramisu Filling, and Dark Rich Chocolate Fudge Cake Complimented with Chocolate Espresso Filling for our tasting. Upon arriving to our appointment, we found parking in front of the bakery. Its located right behind The Camp. The bakery showroom is very cute and cozy. We love the pink decor and the different cakes they have around the bakery to showcase the various types of wedding cake designs. We were greeted by Rodrick, who had graciously prepared our tastings in the form of mini cakes which we can take home to share the experience with our family. Rodrick was very informative on how the cakes are made and helped us understand how buttercream cakes are different than other types of cakes. The texture is light and not overly heavy like other cakes. The frosting is just the right amount of sweetness and not overly done. We also love how pet friendly the bakery is. We brought our little guy in a stroller and was greeted with so much love.
