Stopped by craving pho and happened to find this place on Google Maps. Tried the pork spring roll which was refreshing and included a decent amount of meat, vege, and vermicelli. Beef pho hit the spot, perfect temp broth to wilt the herbs and sprouts, savory flavor, and tasty meats. The taco was a surprising hit, beef was the same from the pho topped with pickled onions. Must have with a spritz of lime and sriracha. Service was great, server was helpful, and friendly. Talked about the specials and took care of the rest. The restaurant has a charming fresh feel, nice decor and ample seating for groups. It was a little warm this summer afternoon but in all honesty it kinda added to the ambiance and reminded me a little of eating in Hanoi. All-in-all happy with my dining experience and will gladly add Lotus & Light in my pho round up. read more

I have ordered here multiple times and i keep getting screwed over on takeout orders. I dont know if the cook just sucks or its management's orders but when you order a banh mi, it comes with jalapenos. I even verified with the girl on the phone when placing the order i wanted jalapenos. The banh mi has no jalapenos, half the sandwich is daikon and carrots with a cucumber and the thinnest layer of overcooked beef on top. I ordered last month 2 banh mi and egg rolls. Banh mi had no jalapenos either, the egg rolls were missing lettuce wraps and the sauce was half the to go container. I've eaten here in person and received lettuce when eating in the restaurant, their yelp photos show lettuce wraps with the egg rolls. But every time i ordered egg rolls for takeout it is missing lettuce wraps. The one time i ordered and got the lettuce wraps with egg rolls, i had to explicitly tell them to add it that time. I thought this placed served the food as it should be in their culture? I've held back leaving a bad review of this place because i thought they would somehow improve or it was a one off mistake but this was the final straw. Consistently screwing up or intentionally holding back ingredients on takeout orders crazy. How much are you actually saving by with holding lettuce, sauce, and jalapenos??? This place used to be good, now it's just another above average spot. If you want banh mi, go somewhere else and be less disappointed. read more

If you think your food is coming slowly, I think there are only a few people in the kitchen, and LOTS of take away call in orders. There is a special space for "pick up" to wait in the back. One server. BUSY. Like: "too busy to chat" busy. Be ready with your order. One server at lunch on virtual roller skates getting through the end of lunch rush well. The menu says "vegetarian bahn mi". My receipt said "vegetarian sandwich". Probably just the missing something like siracha mayo? Idk. VEGAN Menu available! A beautiful high ceiling space and calm ambience. Server "Shazia" was amazing! Tatted cool girl, very informative. Recommended all great dishes she had tried herself. Especially their main attraction "bone marrow pho". Super huge knuckle, meat fall off the bone, super tender and fatty. The soup and noodles are separated in another bowl, best to ask for another plate and remove the knuckle to dive into the meat soup bowl. However, I would not recommend the "curry bites" a bit too greasy, samosa-like fried triangles, just taste like a curry toothpaste in side a greasy fried eggsroll wrap. But definitely tried the spring roll. I had the charbroil beef and it was delicious with the fish sauce. Also come with six pieces, more than enough to share. Food is great! Authentic and fresh. BUT the owner needs to hire more help! This place is poppin' on a Sunday night--many dine-ins and takeouts. But there is only 1 person helping everyone! This is not the first time I've seen this happen here. The staff person was trying as much as possible, running around with a smile but you can tell it's a very hard iob! Restaurant is nothing fancy but I'd heard good things about the food so decided to give it a try. Came at opening on Sunday morning and staff were helpful with providing recommendations. There were only a couple of employees working and it was the very start of the day so the sandwiches took a bit longer than expected but we had the time. My husband loved the pork sandwich and said the roll was do fresh it almost melted in his mouth. Great flavor but could've used a bit more spice for him. Pretty solid place for pho. Decor is simple and clean; the plenty of seating for pairs and groups. Shout out to Marina for holding down basically a full house on her own as for some reason after my partner and I were seated, people just started coming in. She was efficient in taking and bringing orders quickly and attentive in checking in on every party. I ordered a brisket noodle soup, a chicken street fries, and a peach limeade. The noodle soup and drink were fine, but I think they were kind of steep for the price (around $18 and $6 respectively). The chicken street fries were the stand out for me since the fries were nicely seasoned and crispy, and the chicken was tender and well cooked; I'd come back just for these. read more

Sent me rotten veggies, no silverware, and no sauces. Called them and they were very rude. The kitchen manager lady lied and said nothing in their kitchen is rotten. Well the proof is in the pudding! The photos I took show that they blatantly lied and sent rotten food! Check their google reviews; I posted pics bc yelp wont let us post here. And the soup wasnt even hot! We had to microwave it and eat it with forks bc they didnt send any silverware and we dont have soup spoons! If they can send something this slimey and brown, imagine the kind of rotten filth they are serving without you knowing you are eating hairs, rotten veggies, and rotten meat. Don't eat here! Solid place to have some Pho noodles! My fam and I went here after our Universal Studio theme park day. We were exhausted and were craving some hot soup. Thankfully this place opens late and closed from where we were. The place looks fancy when you walk inside, but their prices are reasonable. Their service is good, too.. they really make sure you're well taken care of as their customers. They were just having Pho noodle soup this day.. Idk why but the server told us that in advance before seating down. Of course, we all ordered their pho noodles where they are famous for. I ordered their Oxtail Pho, which included the actual oxtail in it. The broth is good and flavorful. Their meat is tender and easy to chew on. Contemporary interior. Tasty food and friendly services. A good choice after a day at the warner Brothers Studio tour. We tried their noodle soup, vermicelli, spring roll, and pork sandwich. The sandwich is good portion but noodle soup and vermicelli portion is on the small side. The bone marrow noodle soup is also quite interesting. I forgot to take picture of the sandwich since the server forgot to put in order- oh well, we took it togo instead. It is indeed delicious. What a vibe! I really enjoyed lunch here. Since my office moved to the Burbank area in October 2025, I'm having quite a food journey during lunch. Today I dined at Lotus & Light and it was great! The service excellent. They had complimentary shrimp chips as a starter and it was a nice touch. I had the charbroiled pork vermicelli and opted to add an eggroll and charbroiled shrimp for an extra $4. The portions were big so it probably wasn't necessary but it was worth it. The ambiance was contemporary and upscale. They had nice art, plants, and bar looked lovely though I didn't have a drink. Maybe next time! read more

This place is really cute and the customer service is top tier. I love that they offer shrimp chips as a starter! I ordered the chicken noodle soup and the spring rolls. They were happy to accomodate my request for extra lime because I love it in my soup! The chicken in the soup seemed like good quality (not chewy or fatty) but it was overcooked. The soup wasn't really hot when it was served either. Spring rolls were good and a decent size! I wanted to like this place more. I came a long time ago and liked it but this more recent trip missed the mark for me. Again, my waitress was lovely and the atmosphere is very nice! This is shrimp fried rice. It came with exactly 7 small shrimp on top. No veggies. Ok well there was a few & far between tiny pieces of green onion. For $16.95. They replaced it with stir fried noodle with pork. The pork could NOT be chewed. I mean awful. Disappointing. The waiter was fantastic though he didn't offer to not charge me. First time here after seeing it many times and wondering how it was... we were not disappointed. I got breakfast and my wife got lunch (shrimp spring roll with peanut sauce... delish). Sebastian was VERY accommodating to us when we came in. We had lots of questions and he answered them all. We didn't realize he was the host/waiter all by himself, which he was a rock star!! I ordered the bone marrow pho, I joked the bone was bigger than the plate but that wasn't even issue . Meat was tender but the broth was bland. I visited Lotus & Light with my elderly mother and my kids. The restaurant itself is very cute, cozy, nicely designed, and very clean. The food, especially the soup, was excellent, honestly 10 out of 10. No complaints about the taste at all. Unfortunately, the service was very unusual and disappointing. The host was also serving tables, and although she was a very nice person, she was extremely busy doing two jobs at once. My mom and I were served our soups without spoons. I asked several times for spoons, and each time she said she would bring them, but she didn't. I even walked up to the counter hoping to find some myself, but there were none available. At one point, I noticed her taking another table's order while holding two spoons in her bare hands, switching them between hands without napkins. I assumed those were ours and had to approach her to ask. The other guests looked annoyed that I interrupted, but I simply didn't want our soup to get cold. After she finally gave us the spoons, I went to the restroom to wash them because of how they were handled. I was still waiting on my water while finishing my soup, and it only arrived near the end. Later, someone from the kitchen brought out soups for the kids, but the server didn't notice, so after we finished, she brought two more soups for them. The second time, at least, the spoons came right away, and the kids' drinks were brought together with the food. When I asked for one more glass of water before leaving, she brought me four glasses "to go," which was surprising. She also removed the kids' drinks from the bill, possibly as an apology for the service, which I appreciated. I don't really blame her personally. It seemed like she was alone running the entire front of the restaurant, hosting and serving at the same time. That's not fair to the staff or the customers. Overall, while the food was very good and the place itself is charming, we go to restaurants not only for the food but for the overall experience. Unfortunately, the service made the experience stressful. There are many great pho restaurants in LA, so I'm not sure I would return. I would rate it 2 out of 5. We went here on a rainy day for some warm pho Vietnamese soup. The space is small in a busy strip mall. The soup portions were somewhat small and the meat felt lacking. I got an oxtail soup and not sure why I got that as it was mostly bone. My wife's soup was not really any better. The worse part was that the service was incredibly slow as the restaurant was terribly understaffed. There was only one server managing an almost full restaurant by himself. Overall mediocre and overpriced soup with slow service. Better go to a more authentic pho place like Pho So 1, much busier but better prices and bigger portions with more meat and efficient service. read more

This is my second time here, and I totally forgot how good the pho was! I came here last year and I don't remember it being so delicious. The four of us had pho, and all were happy! The summer rolls an egg rolls were also a delight. The egg rolls could be a little better, as for as crispness. The server helped them as they decided to eat their togo order there. The server then came back to hostess stand and without greeting me just got on his phone, then he greeted the new person behind me who just walked in. Loved my experience at this place for a Tuesday lunch! There was only 1 server on site, which I assume is due to less customers during the week, but he did a fantastic job of taking care of all the tables and had a great attitude the entire time. The atmosphere was very pleasant, with plants decorating every nook and crany and light wood tones through out. I ordered the Vegan Stir Fry Vermicelli because of the additional vegetables listed and was not disappointed! The tofu was not as crispy as it could have been, but very well seasoned. I loved that they separated the leaves of the bok choy and chopped the stems into rounds for a more even cooking. The fish sauce and pickled vegetables added a great balance of favor and texture to the dish as well. The Pork fried egg rolls were deliciously crispy and arrived quickly. Located in a business strip. They have a shared parking lot which is small to medium. Had to circle around a couple times before getting a parking spot. Once in, we were quickly greeted and seated. The space looks open and light and the name fits. I ordered the beef with rice dish. The cubes of beef were small chopped. The beef tasted was good. VIETNAMESE FOODs FROM whatt kind of pLaNET?? There ain't no Vietnamese here besides the names. One star for the spring rolls and the sauce...everything else was disgusting. My aunt ordered chicken pho. It was somewhat cold. WTH They dumped a few big pieces of white chicken. They didn't even bother to cut the chicken to smaller pieces. SMH!! The fish sauce wings were HORRIBLE!! Right when we bite into it, we noticed the raw areas. When we notified one of the employees, she told us to put the wings back onto the plate. Guess what? They brought those back and recooked it. Eww? So unsanitary!! Gross! When they brought it back out, it was burnt looking on the outside. However, the inside was still somewhat raw. I would think they would ask if we want something else or if we want to cancel the order. Ridiculous. So unprofessional. The pork rice plate was NO GoOD! The rice was ok, but the pork was so charred up. That was all we tasted. My aunt ain't even picky with food. She said this was the most disgusting restaurant she ever been to lol One of my aunts even got diarrhea after eating here. We ain't sure if it was the raw wings or the cold pho. This place is most definitely in my top 5 restaurants I've ever been. Great bahn mi and vermicelli bowls. I usually get them with bbq pork, and the meat is very well done and the portion sizes are perfect - generous but not giant. Other ingredients are always fresh, never had a problem with the food. Staff is always nice, and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. My only criticism is that the service is incredibly slow, even when the restaurant has only a few customers. Typically have to wait about 25 minutes for a sandwich or two, but I've also had to wait up 10 to 15 minutes after showing up when told to for take out. Seems to be a staffing issue, but I could be wrong. read more
