So good! A clean restaurant with staff that are friendly and quick. We got our pho 5 minutes (maybe less) after ordering and it was so good. I wish I lived closer! We could come here more often. Price is $14.75 per bowl and portion is quite large. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.
Best egg rolls in the area. Super crispy in all the right ways, light, airy, and comes with the correct veggies to wrap them in. I highly recommend getting this for the table as it comes with 6 rolls. The pickled carrots/radishes, cucumbers, mints, lettuce and the sweet fish sauce. I'd come back just for that. Service is ridiculously quick. My appetizer came before I even ordered my main course and I love it! The pho was nicely portioned and they were generous with meat. Can't go wrong with any of rice and meat dishes--I got grilled pork which had all the veggies included on the side. Menu has a picture of few of the dishes including this one. The restaurant itself was clean and you could tell from the tables and sauces on each table. They have tv playing in the background and it's a relaxed environment. Service was attentive. This place can get pretty packed during lunch/dinner rush. But it's right next to ding tea and 99 ranch market which is convenient. Lots of parking in the huge plaza. Highly recommend!
Forever a classic. Been coming here since I was a little girl and will come here when I have my own little girl. This time I came here after the rainy week we had, usually get a pho tai these days but today was feeling my old favorite (pho ga). The broth was so flavorful yet delicate I opted not to put anything except thai basil and bean sprouts in today (and a little bit of nuoc beo! IYKYK.) Service is fast and food comes out piping hot by a man who likely has no nerve endings in his fingers. It's cool to see how they've changed over the years, but also to see the things that have stayed the same. I hope they're around for at least another 20 years of my lifetime.
Went to Pho So 1 on a rainy day -- perfect pho weather -- and the place was packed, so we waited a little before being seated. The service was pretty good, especially considering how busy it was. I ordered the pho, which was solid overall, though not my favorite. There were plenty of noodles, but I would've liked a bit more meat. Both the meat and noodle quality were decent. The broth, while comforting, fell a little flat and was a bit too salty for my taste. I'd rate it a solid 6.5/7 out of 10. Their menu is huge, though, so I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying something different next time.

However, my grilled pork is a little different. Some pork were crisp abd dried like a jerky not crispy ( looking different ) the other part of the pork is soft and juice. Egg rolls is good but not the same with other locations and sweeter. Love that this location came with this kind of bowl. Love the bowl.
Excellent spot for Vietnamese food in the same plaza as Ranch. My party of 4 came for an early dinner around 5 pm on Thursday, and it wasn't too crowded when we came. It was completely packed by the time we left though, with 1-2 parties waiting outside, so it's definitely a popular dinner spot! The menu has a pretty standard selection of Vietnamese options ranging from vermicelli bowls to rice plates to pho and other noodle soups. I got the #37 mi bo kho ($15.25) but substituted pho noodles instead of of egg noodles. All of our dishes came out pretty quickly after ordering. The first thing you notice is the MASSIVE portion size. All the noodle soups are served in a gigantic metal bowl which is completely filled up. It's not all just soup either, there was plenty of beef chunks in my soup. I was very pleasantly surprised by the generous amount of meat. I loved the flavor of my broth + meat as well. Each bite was super satisfying. I'm not sure how, but I somehow managed to finish the whole bowl. It took a long time though, and I needed plenty of breaks lol My friends all enjoyed their food as well, though one friend was disappointed by their lack of charbroiled chicken (they only had charbroiled pork and beef). The lemongrass chicken stir fry he ended up ordering wasn't as good. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a delicious and hearty Vietnamese meal in Van Nuys that won't break the bank!
This spot is a nice, low key place to chill. It's a bit compact, but still very cute and comfortable. We had a little trouble communicating with our server because of a language barrier, but we worked it out and everyone was very kind. The food came out quickly, and the shrimp pho was really good I'll definitely be coming back for that!

The bowls look big, but they're more wide than deep, so it felt more like a medium/small portion and didn't really fill me up. The meat was also on the rougher side. The cha gio looked great but didn't taste fresh it was lukewarm, and the wrapper tasted like it had been sitting out too long. Just didn't hit the way I expected it to. Haven't really found good pho in LA so still looking for recommendations too!

I come here often and forget to update my review. When I walk in, I know what number and how to order. The numbers haven't changed. The staff has but they are all professional. Food is always consistent and although a day had passed I cannot say that my mouth doesn't water thinking about it. The #51 bowl with beef hits the spot. The Phö with tendon is phÖnamenal. The best is the pork eggrolls and although I'm not a huge fan of pork, you have to get these. It's always clean. Always fun and well worth the drive to come sit here for a satisfying meal. Great food and very kid-friendly! This was our first time here and we mostly chose it for convenience after shopping at 99 Ranch next door. It ended up being a really pleasant surprise. They were incredibly considerate toward our son - wiping down the high chair before bringing it over and setting him up with his own bowl, utensils, and water cup. Those small details really stood out. It was busy, but our server Phu was attentive and thoughtful throughout. We ordered the spring rolls, a bowl of pho, and a bun bowl with egg rolls and marinated pork. Portions were huge and the food was good. The marinated pork was slightly dry, but everything else was solid. Easy payment at the register when you're ready. Very pleased with both the food and the service - we'll be back! read more

Broth was so good last night and they serve a really generous amount. Their tendon is so soft, you know they've been boiling it for hours. The eggroll was perfect -- so crunchy and it balances so well with their dipping sauce. Fast service, great staff, and food hits as always!! read more

To preface, I've been here 3+ times and always had great food and service, but I've mostly stuck to getting phở and spring rolls (which were always great flavor and quality). The service here has always been top notch as well. This time, I ordered #57 Bùn Gá Xào with lemongrass chicken (no peanuts). The presentation was beautiful and the food came out so fast. I was a little disappointed because the chicken was basically flavorless and some of my noodles were undercooked. I really like this place and I will be coming back, but I guess I ordered the wrong dish this time. read more

This is the go to viet spot, and it's a bonus that it's next to 99 ranch. My wife and I will come here before or after errands whenever we are craving viet food. The pho broth is light but flavorful and the ingredients are always fresh. The service is as expected and fair. read more

Initially I was going to go to the pho place across the street from here but this place has better reviews. I had no regrets going here instead. Service was great, food was delish, very clean inside and the bathroom was clean. Lots of parking too :) I'm definitely coming back read more

You can never go wrong with a big bowl of hearty pho. My cravings for pho got the best of me, so my husband and I decided to make the trek out to Van Nuys to try out Pho So 1 and do some grocery shopping at the 99 Ranch Market afterward. We were able to snag a table right in time before the lunch rush. I don't recall which pho I ordered, but it had rare steak and some fatty brisket. The portions came out to be quite big and the prices were not all bad either. Service was also speedy quick. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Pho So 1 and hope to return back if we're in the area again. Just be careful of parking since the lot can be crowded during lunch hour. read more
This place always seems to be lively with people all times during the day. From morning till closing, there's always a good amount of diners. Stopped in for an early dinner which we told to sit wherever we like. It wasn't full yet but did gradually filled upduring our visit. Menu, pho, rice dishes, and noodle dishes basically. Loads of pho options to chose from and it's one size only. They also have beer which is nice if you wanted a cold one with your meal. Started off with the spring roll and fried egg roll. Both really good as always. Fried egg rolls came with garnishes of lettuce, carrots, daikon radish, mint and cucumber. Made to be wrapped with the roll and dipped in the sauce. The spring rill with pork and shrimp just came with peanut sauce for dipping. Both starters were quite tasty. Entrees, the pho which does not take long to arrive. They have batches of broth prepared daily and just add noodles to it and voila. And it's always served with bean sprouts, Asian basil, jalapeño and limes on the side. Add to your liking. Broth was quite nice and tasty. Proton wise, it's quite massive and worth the $15.00. Also got one of the rice dishes with the marinated beef. It's basically the brisket marinated and sautéed on top of rice. That's served with pickle veggies. It was good but I would stick to the pho. And a durian smoothie after the meal. It's either a love it or hate it. You do taste the durian and smell it but it was actually not bad. Overall, we've always enjoyed our meal. read more

Love their pho broth. The service here is quick if you're looking to drop in for a quick bite. They are pretty darn fast! The dining room is a large, clean and open space so you may have to share an 8-top table with others. They can make that into two 4-tops if there is no other place to sit. I don't mind it at all. It's very communal and everyone keeps to themselves while dining. I'm also used to that type of dining in Asian culture. Generally, we're huge families eating together anyway. This isn't the place to go to if you want intimate dining. It's cafeteria-style dining. You won't get your own table or privacy. We like their pho broth. It has stepped up a notch within the last few years. It's pretty comparable to our favorite spot in Santa Clarita. They even serve beer here. We like the texture of their Egg Rolls and can't get enough of them. The great thing is, they give you enough lettuce, pickled radish, cucumbers and mint to roll your eggrolls in. So happy for the that. Even better is their sweetened fish dipping sauce. It's so delicious that you want to eat everything in it. We got 97. Char Gio - Eggrolls, 51. Bun Char Gio Nit Thuong - Vermicelli Noodles with Charbroiled Pork and Eggrolls and 17. Tai Gan - Rare Steak and Tendon pho. We can't get enough of their broth and eggrolls! read more

I've been coming here for years and hadn't come back since we moved and it did not disappoint! I forgot how delicious their broth is. You hardly need to put more sauce in it. One size for everything and still great price. They have a great menu with different types of soups, pho, chicken broth, rice thick and thin noodles, egg noodles. Boba drinks. Place is located next to the super market. Shared parking lot. Always busy but service is fast. I appreciate the cleanliness of the place including the restroom! You walk in the restaurant and it smells good. Plenty of seating. Lots of take out and dine in. Plenty of parking. The one thing I wish theybhad was oxtail. But they have so many other delicious options that is ok. read more
This was a walk in take out order. The restaurant is bright and clean. I was welcomed in and a nice young gentleman took my order. I ordered egg rolls-Cha Gio. You get 5 per order, fish sauce, and a nice selection of fresh lettuce and carrots. They had a very nice crunch to them and were even more tasty wrapped in the lettuce and dipped into the sauce. Then I ordered Bun Thit Nuong - Grilled pork , vermicelli, vegetables, fish sauce and rice paper. It was so good. A very light and tasty dish. The pork was grilled to perfection and rolling it all up in the rice paper and dipping it in the fish sauce made a perfect meal. Lastly I had a Thai Iced Tea. It was not too sweet and a bit bitter which I like. I will definitely be back to eat in. read more
Upon entering, there was a big wait but it went by quick! This is the kind of establishment that you kinda gotta know what you want by the time you are seated. They don't play around lol. The pho was amazing I got the flank steak and brisket and it was super delicious. I've stopped about 3 or 4 times since my first time coming. It is loud and crowded so if this isn't ur vibe I don't rec. however my experience here was a solid 10/10 read more

I believe they do make Vietnamese sandwiches. I don't go to Pho restaurants to eat sandwiches though. I would go to a Sandwich place for that

Not that I know of. But you can definitely get some blanched veggie.
