In town for the weekend and wanted to try a new coffee/matcha spot! My aunt raves about the ube matcha here at Lotus so decided to give it a try! There were so many options on the menu I couldn't decided what to order. I was feeling like having a coffee so I tried their Biscoff! First impression, it was STRONG! Once I drank it with the cold foam it cancelled it out and was much better!! I would order again (if it's early enough... I drank it around 4pm and could not sleep at night!) Oh! I also split a blueberry muffin with my aunt & it was warm, buttery, and delicious!

Just beat the rush. Since this is my first time, I went with a standard Jasmine MT with boba, less sweet and less ice. The drink was pretty standard...pre-brewed tea, oowdered creamer, sugar syrup (I watched the worker make the drink). Half sweet is still pretty sweet. The place has a decnt amount of seating...six tables with at least 2-3 chairs per table. Seems to be only one person working here (mid-afternoon) and there are over 15 customers waiting for their drinks. The worker was nice enough and didn't seem to be too stressed even with the large group waiting.

Banana coffee! 10/10 -- yes I was a little upset they ran out of matcha

My co worker put me on for some banana matcha, definitely had my doubts, but I'm always down to try new boba/matcha places. Banana matcha 10/10 Was wanting to order matcha again , but they ran out and we were all like nooooo So the second day (today) my co worker got me banana coffee 10/10 -- not a coffee person lately, but it was really good! Not too strong and their banana foam just makes everything taste better. My co worker also mentioned the cashier said "matcha will be in stock this afternoon!" Literally after work I went back and pre -ordered on their app! (Download clover and search Lotus Coffee & Tea to order ahead) I ordered 2 banana matchas (for work tomorrow) , and I wanted to try their signature milk tea (ding tea previously owned) -- and yes 10/10! For me. Perfect sweetness, amount, and reasonable price! My new go to spot for matcha for work !! They also have fruit teas, milk teas, some blended drinks, coffee, etc. I'm just here for the matcha & signature milk tea lol! Their tea looks really good. I think I might try strawberry tea next :) Inside is very cute and small didn't really got to look around, also a kiosk to order? Shout out to whoever made my drinks yesterday and today

I stumbled upon this amazing coffee house today. The wood accents and plants gave it a soft, cozy, almost luxe tea lounge feel. Matthew greeted me and was super helpful assisting me to pick out a coffee I'd like since it was my first visit. I ordered an iced banana cream coffee with almond milk. It had a banana froth on top and coffee crumbles. I usually don't order "fun" coffee, but this one had banana flavor yet kept the integrity of actual coffee. Loved it

Cute little boba shop off the 405 freeway. Easy to find, easy to get to. The self ordering kiosk is very convenient. I liked how they have to option for "easy boba." And ofc you can make adjustments on your ice and sugar level. I ordered Jasmine milk tea with light boba and my boyfriend got the black milk tea with boba. I enjoyed my drink. Upon first sip, I got the taste of the Jasmine tea which was very distinct, which I liked. I also liked the texture of the boba. It wasn't too hard or too soft and had a good chew to it. I guess my boyfriend liked his drink cos he finished it right away lol. We didn't really receive service as we ordered through the self kiosk. This shop has a cute vibe to it with mirrors and aesthetic walls to take picture.

When it comes to affordable coffee, tea, boba, etc. with pretty damn good quality; I dig Lotus Coffee & Tea Lounge. This place is wayyyyyy better than Blenders, IMO all in all in customer service to flavor of their drinks. The ladies who work here are always really helpful, patient and they give great recommendations even when it gets busy. It's always clean and such a nice vibe in their main area near the bar, register and even inside their restrooms. Parking is shared in a small strip mall, but it's FREE. My go-to drink is their warm chai, but their other drinks aren't bad at all and are better than many other spots. I'm pretty sure I'll be updating this review again in the future once I drink more and more of the other stuff on their menu. Keep up the great speedy and quality work!!!

I took a detour on the way to Culver Theater and accidentally picked this small shopping center. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the milk tea (Hakkaido Caramel) and the boba was soft, chewy, and warm. The constant stream of customers going through the shop is always a good indicator of their popularity. The sofa near the entrance was very comfortable, and I got a much-needed driving break.

I tried calling ahead to ask if they had bubble waffles and an avocado smoothie, but no one answered the phone. Based on previous Yelp photos and reviews showing both items, we decided to drive over anyway. Unfortunately when we arrived, they had neither, which was disappointing since that's mainly why we came. We ended up ordering a taho latte and a peach tea (less sweet). When we got our drinks, both were extremely sweet. The peach tea didn't taste "less sweet" at all, and the taho latte honestly didn't taste like taho. If you've had taho before, the tofu is usually very silky and soft, but this one was oddly tough and chewy. The boba also had a strange texture. Overall the drink tasted more like an overly sweet brown sugar milk tea. It was so sugary that I started feeling nauseous a few minutes after drinking it. My drink is still basically full and I'll probably end up throwing it away because it's just too sweet to finish. I really wanted to like this place, but the drinks unfortunately didn't work out for us.

I ordered the COOKIE BUTTER Ice coffee with oat milk. It was insanely delicious. Very much like a dessert. The service is exceptional and attentive!! Price is a bit on the high end. Overall, the drink was yummy. Parking accessible and small but new coffee shop.

Definitely disappointed when we decided to check this shop out. We used the kiosk and were having trouble finding our drinks. Then we were informed that they had no coffee drinks available which then explained why we were unable to find it on the kiosk. We placed two of the same drinks and they did not come out the same. We unfortunately had to send one back and it still looked different. It was lacking flavor for my friends drink while mine was fine. Highly disappointed on the lack of communication on which drinks were available.

We tried Ube coffee iced and Vietnamese coffee hot. Both have good flavor, strong enough but not overpowering. You can ask for less sweet too. Service a bit on the slow side so keep that in mind when you're in a hurry. Nice vibe and music for chilling and relaxing. It's a quite popular place with small groups of people hanging out having a good time. Plenty of parking spaces out front. Right across from IKEA.

Hidden gem in Carson! This place is soo good! Obsessed with their drinks/lattes. Everything's taste soo good but my favorite one is the Ube Taho Boba definitely reminded me of Philippines! I also love they have soo many options to choose from coffee,matcha,tea,boba . Obsessed with the new hojica menu Service is amazing! They did my drinks aesthetically pleasing and the staff were fast and very sweet. The ambiance is nice, very relaxing plenty of seating and definitely good to hang and study. It's my favorite time of the day because it's boba time. Plus they make the drinks so quick! I had: 1. Banana cream matcha 2. Ube coffee 3. Taho milk tea - classic sweet treat in Philippines made with silken tofu, sago or tapioca pearls, and a simple brown sugar syrup 4. Golden black peach tea

The Taho milktea is ok...the bao buns are a skip.

Was excited to try this place but was a bit disappointed. I ordered the mango snow with boba. Either the foam or boba was salty, which sucked cuz the boba had good consistency but the saltiness threw it completely off. The mango part of the drink was good, could have been a bit sweeter. Overall the drink kinda tasted like mango sticky rice but it is not advertised as such which is confusing as to why it was salty. The parking here is small so it may take a while to find a spot. read more

I've tried coming to this place 3 times now at 8am (Sign outside says they open at 8am!) and they are never open. Can you guys please update the signage if you are not opening the doors at that time. I want to support your business but I also can't afford to be late to work. I always just opt out and go to the donut shop next door. When they are open everything is great but I wish there was more consistency with opening on time read more

The girls working here are friendly and helpful.The lychee fruit tea was really good . The only complaint I had was when I got my ginger chicken bao it seemed like it was originally frozen so they probably tried to warm it for long time (which explained my long wait) and when they put it in the paper bag it became a hot mess. It was barely solid. I admit if I wanted a legitimately good bao , I should've went to hong kong garden bakery or mami king, but I just wanted to try it since it was on their menu. I like the aesthetic of Lotus and there's alot of drink choices I couldn't decide on which one I wanted. I ended up getting the Hokkaido Caramel because it's the type of drink I get to test new places I go to and it was really good! On the sweeter side for those who don't like that vibe but there's an option to do less syrup. It was really easy to order because they have a kiosk too! read more

This replaced the previous boba shop, I think it was a a Ding Tea? I really like the selection at Lotus and they do fruity drinks well IMO. I tried the following: Lychee Watermelon Strawberry Matcha Mango Matcha Signature Milk Tea Strawberry Snow Peach Black Tea The snow drinks were a hit and I like their mango/strawberry matcha. Mango matcha is a mix I rarely see atm. Some booth and chair seating to chat/work/study. read more

I love this place and the variety of drinks they offer. My brother loves the mango snow and my mom is obsessed with the taho taro milk tea. My personal favorite is their signature milk tea with boba. The service is always good and you're also able to order on the screen register so the baristas can make your drinks even faster. There's a good amount of indoor seating and the music is always good too. Overall, I really like what Lotus has to offer and I haven't yet had a bad experience! Highly recommend! read more

I went to this coffee and tea shop the other day and was offered a Vietnamese coffee with a flavor substitute. At that time, I was unaware that the original flavor is hazelnut. It was very good, and although the person that checked me out got my order incorrect, in that, they made a cold coffee instead of hot--in which I asked for, it was delicious. Today I returned to get the same thing. I ordered it the same way and the cashier told me that they don't modify their drinks. Which was strange to me, because I just had the drink made for me two days ago. I informed her that I had just purchased a drink that way a couple of days ago, and she told me that they don't modify their Vietnamese coffees, and if they did, it was a one-time thing. She kept repeating that she would do it, but it's not a normal thing. I asked her as to whether all the employees working there were privy to that information, and she replied that they all know. Then I asked why the gentleman from my last visit didn't inform me of their policy and that it would be a one-time allowance, but instead asked ME whether I wanted to substitute the flavor. She began inserting that I had an attitude. Admittedly, I was very surprised to receive this response, as it was only my second time patronizing this business. However, I was far from rude, and just trying to understand. I walked out and that was that, but I will never return. This young lady had the "tone" that she projected upon me in front of all the customers sitting and standing in the cafe. Extremely rude and needs to make sure that all employees understand and communicate the same rules to everyone EVERY TIME! read more

I wad said when I heard my favorite tea shop, Ding Tea was permanently closing and rebranding to a new tea brand, Lotus. To my surprise, after trying them out on their soft opening, I find that their signature milk tea tasted very similar to Ding Tea so that a plus! Also, I noticed they use fresh fruits in a lot of their drinks, which is great. I will be back to try more drinks! read more

Came here about a week ago and thought of trying another one of their many selection of drinks. This time I got the coconut matcha blend. Yummy... it was the right amount of sweetness that complimented the matcha's natural bitterness. Coconut added to its deliciousness. This place isn't going to make it. Ordered two drinks to go. For some reason, only one person was making drinks. Still took over 15 minutes to get my two drinks, and there were about four drinks, ahead of me. The actual drinks were pretty bland and not worth the wait/price. If the last business in this spot was also boba, and they went under, serving blander versions of the same drinks isn't going to cut it. read more

I don't write reviews but this place definitely deserves one. The previous location Ding Tea was great of In itself, but Lotus brings so much more to the table. What makes this place great and separates themselves from a lot of other boba locations is the usage of fresh fruits within their drinks! Using fruits and replacing these artificial fruit flavorings makes the drinks so much more refreshing and unique. I showed up within the hour of them closing, and while they were being swamped with orders, they still had great customer service and were able to get my drink out in a timely manner. The neon sign adds a great touch to the place and I love how much seating there is. Keep in mind they are in a soft opening and not in full effect, so don't let these entitled reviews stray you away from this place. Definitely going to be coming back for more! read more

What made the delay even more frustrating was that we had frozen groceries in the car that needed to be taken home. We were greeted, but it felt more like, "What would you like?" than "Welcome in." No smile, no conversation, no thank you--just a transaction. After taking our order, the employee returned to chatting with coworkers. When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.
