In town for the weekend and wanted to try a new coffee/matcha spot! My aunt raves about the ube matcha here at Lotus so decided to give it a try! There were so many options on the menu I couldn't decided what to order. I was feeling like having a coffee so I tried their Biscoff! First impression, it was STRONG! Once I drank it with the cold foam it cancelled it out and was much better!! I would order again (if it's early enough... I drank it around 4pm and could not sleep at night!) Oh! I also split a blueberry muffin with my aunt & it was warm, buttery, and delicious!

Just beat the rush. Since this is my first time, I went with a standard Jasmine MT with boba, less sweet and less ice. The drink was pretty standard...pre-brewed tea, oowdered creamer, sugar syrup (I watched the worker make the drink). Half sweet is still pretty sweet. The place has a decnt amount of seating...six tables with at least 2-3 chairs per table. Seems to be only one person working here (mid-afternoon) and there are over 15 customers waiting for their drinks. The worker was nice enough and didn't seem to be too stressed even with the large group waiting.

Banana coffee! 10/10 -- yes I was a little upset they ran out of matcha

My co worker put me on for some banana matcha, definitely had my doubts, but I'm always down to try new boba/matcha places. Banana matcha 10/10 Was wanting to order matcha again , but they ran out and we were all like nooooo So the second day (today) my co worker got me banana coffee 10/10 -- not a coffee person lately, but it was really good! Not too strong and their banana foam just makes everything taste better. My co worker also mentioned the cashier said "matcha will be in stock this afternoon!" Literally after work I went back and pre -ordered on their app! (Download clover and search Lotus Coffee & Tea to order ahead) I ordered 2 banana matchas (for work tomorrow) , and I wanted to try their signature milk tea (ding tea previously owned) -- and yes 10/10! For me. Perfect sweetness, amount, and reasonable price! My new go to spot for matcha for work !! They also have fruit teas, milk teas, some blended drinks, coffee, etc. I'm just here for the matcha & signature milk tea lol! Their tea looks really good. I think I might try strawberry tea next :) Inside is very cute and small didn't really got to look around, also a kiosk to order? Shout out to whoever made my drinks yesterday and today

I stumbled upon this amazing coffee house today. The wood accents and plants gave it a soft, cozy, almost luxe tea lounge feel. Matthew greeted me and was super helpful assisting me to pick out a coffee I'd like since it was my first visit. I ordered an iced banana cream coffee with almond milk. It had a banana froth on top and coffee crumbles. I usually don't order "fun" coffee, but this one had banana flavor yet kept the integrity of actual coffee. Loved it

Cute little boba shop off the 405 freeway. Easy to find, easy to get to. The self ordering kiosk is very convenient. I liked how they have to option for "easy boba." And ofc you can make adjustments on your ice and sugar level. I ordered Jasmine milk tea with light boba and my boyfriend got the black milk tea with boba. I enjoyed my drink. Upon first sip, I got the taste of the Jasmine tea which was very distinct, which I liked. I also liked the texture of the boba. It wasn't too hard or too soft and had a good chew to it. I guess my boyfriend liked his drink cos he finished it right away lol. We didn't really receive service as we ordered through the self kiosk. This shop has a cute vibe to it with mirrors and aesthetic walls to take picture.

When it comes to affordable coffee, tea, boba, etc. with pretty damn good quality; I dig Lotus Coffee & Tea Lounge. This place is wayyyyyy better than Blenders, IMO all in all in customer service to flavor of their drinks. The ladies who work here are always really helpful, patient and they give great recommendations even when it gets busy. It's always clean and such a nice vibe in their main area near the bar, register and even inside their restrooms. Parking is shared in a small strip mall, but it's FREE. My go-to drink is their warm chai, but their other drinks aren't bad at all and are better than many other spots. I'm pretty sure I'll be updating this review again in the future once I drink more and more of the other stuff on their menu. Keep up the great speedy and quality work!!!

I took a detour on the way to Culver Theater and accidentally picked this small shopping center. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the milk tea (Hakkaido Caramel) and the boba was soft, chewy, and warm. The constant stream of customers going through the shop is always a good indicator of their popularity. The sofa near the entrance was very comfortable, and I got a much-needed driving break.

I tried calling ahead to ask if they had bubble waffles and an avocado smoothie, but no one answered the phone. Based on previous Yelp photos and reviews showing both items, we decided to drive over anyway. Unfortunately when we arrived, they had neither, which was disappointing since that's mainly why we came. We ended up ordering a taho latte and a peach tea (less sweet). When we got our drinks, both were extremely sweet. The peach tea didn't taste "less sweet" at all, and the taho latte honestly didn't taste like taho. If you've had taho before, the tofu is usually very silky and soft, but this one was oddly tough and chewy. The boba also had a strange texture. Overall the drink tasted more like an overly sweet brown sugar milk tea. It was so sugary that I started feeling nauseous a few minutes after drinking it. My drink is still basically full and I'll probably end up throwing it away because it's just too sweet to finish. I really wanted to like this place, but the drinks unfortunately didn't work out for us.

I ordered the COOKIE BUTTER Ice coffee with oat milk. It was insanely delicious. Very much like a dessert. The service is exceptional and attentive!! Price is a bit on the high end. Overall, the drink was yummy. Parking accessible and small but new coffee shop.

Definitely disappointed when we decided to check this shop out. We used the kiosk and were having trouble finding our drinks. Then we were informed that they had no coffee drinks available which then explained why we were unable to find it on the kiosk. We placed two of the same drinks and they did not come out the same. We unfortunately had to send one back and it still looked different. It was lacking flavor for my friends drink while mine was fine. Highly disappointed on the lack of communication on which drinks were available.

Hidden gem in Carson! This place is soo good! Obsessed with their drinks/lattes. Everything's taste soo good but my favorite one is the Ube Taho Boba definitely reminded me of Philippines! I also love they have soo many options to choose from coffee,matcha,tea,boba . Obsessed with the new hojica menu Service is amazing! They did my drinks aesthetically pleasing and the staff were fast and very sweet. The ambiance is nice, very relaxing plenty of seating and definitely good to hang and study. We tried Ube coffee iced and Vietnamese coffee hot. Both have good flavor, strong enough but not overpowering. You can ask for less sweet too. Service a bit on the slow side so keep that in mind when you're in a hurry. Nice vibe and music for chilling and relaxing. It's a quite popular place with small groups of people hanging out having a good time. Plenty of parking spaces out front. Right across from IKEA.

The drinks were amazing ! The customer service was 10 out of 10. Definitely will recommend my friends and family.

I don't know what's going on but Lotus has been getting lazy and cheap. I've been going for 3 years and have firsthand seen quality and portion sizes drop, while prices have risen. Just today, I ordered an iced tea, and it wasn't properly sealed, so it spilled all over my fiancé. I love this Lotus but I am disappointed in the direction it's heading. read more

was expecting an upgrade since their matcha looked like a better color than when they first came out with their matcha menu . i ordered a matcha it was hellla sweet AND very clumpy. every sip i took i would get a huge clump of matcha and there was a lot of clumps at the bottom as if not whisked well since i noticed they use whisks. the clumps at the bottom would probably be more understandable if i made an online order but this a minute after my order got called out. miss the old lotus lol read more

I always seen this place whenever I drive to Dominguez but always forget to try it out. Decided to go on Tuesday when my classes ended and I must say this is some thai tea. I'm a sucker for for Thai tea and anything sweet and this drink left me feeling satisfied. The cashier and staff were super helpful and kind. Ambiance is nice too. Plenty of seats. Best part is it's near Dominguez so I can just grab a drink and then dip anytime. read more

Soooo sad to write this review but after trying this location a couple times & hearing the same feedback from other people, this place doesn't hit the same as well as the original Gardena location did. The Long Beach location is also a hit or miss for the blended drinks. The main difference we've noticed is that all the blended drinks are watered down. There's too much ice or not enough fruit/whatever flavors they put. I can't speak for the iced drinks but the blended drinks (snows, mango chamoy, specialty drinks) are very watery which is very unfortunate because the fresh fruit flavors were the main star that helped this store shine from all the other boba stores. The price was also justifiable because the flavors were good & unique but now that it barely tastes like what we remembered, it's hard to justify the price for this sad quality. The service was also not good. No one was rude, but the service was slow particularly this location. My mom went to get 2 drinks and 2 people made one drink each. One person finished quickly but the other person took over 20 minutes and by that time the first drink (blended strawberry snow) had already melted & started separating. I say all this with the hope that the original owners will see this and make the changes that need to be made before it's too late. I'm pretty sure other people are thinking the same thing. I proudly recommended this place to everyone I love but now I feel embarrassed to do that. Please please please read this & bring back the quality we enjoyed in Gardena read more

We were excited to get boba after lunch at Pollo Inka and 3 staff were outside sitting and told us they were closed?! Huh? We thought they were kidding so I said seriously? They didn't tell us the reason why they're closed at 1:30pm on a Sunday but it was disappointing nonetheless. Hopefully we get to try them when we come back for lunch at Pollo Inka. Btw, looking at Yelp, it still says they're open until 10pm so make sure to call first before driving out of your way to satisfy the craving and finding out they're closed. read more

I usually don't care to write reviews but I ordered a Tiramisu Coffee - let me tell you the color was off putting already dark like chocolate fudge milk I drank a little and it tasted like cheap burnt coffee with a thick consistency no flavor was giving Tiramisu at all idk if whoever made it didn't know what they were doing but it was so bad awful never again read more

The store is spacious with lots of seating and a restroom for customers. They get a lot of foot traffic, but there's room for anyone to sit down. They have a Kiosk to self order, but they also take orders themselves. I ordered three drinks, I got two Taho Taro Milk Tea with Boba and a Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba. I really liked the Taho Taro, it's more on the sweet side so I would recommend to reduce the sweetness or add extra ice. The boba is chewy for all the drinks, the only issue was that it seemed they forgot to add sugar to the Jasmine Milk Tea. When I arrived home and tried it, it was very bitter as if they didn't add sugar at all to the drink. read more

It seems like Ding Tea has relocated to Lotus, maintaining the same interior but with a revised menu. They now offer only one size, the largest, and fewer options. My Strawberry Yakult cost $7 plus tax, which felt a bit steep. Most drinks range from $6 to $8 without toppings. Despite requesting 30% sugar, the drink tasted sweeter. The cashier with glasses/tattoos seemed inexperienced and quiet, requiring me to repeat my order. Although my drink arrived quickly, its sweetness was a disappointment. I'll need to try more drinks before deciding if Lotus is worth returning to; currently, there are plenty of other options for satisfying boba cravings at a similar price point with better quality. read more

They forgot the boba. Had to go back and they added boba in a new cup and just added the rest of my drink. LOL They're not fully open yet. Use to be the old ding tea. Nothing special about this place. Winter melon was nasty, the tea itself didnt mix well with the milk part. The taro oreo was overbearingly sweet. Despite ordering less sweet. Boba was super soft. Not a fan unfortunately. read more

After waiting more than 15 minutes and watching several customers who ordered after us receive their food first, I had to ask about the status of my order. What made the delay even more frustrating was that we had frozen groceries in the car that needed to be taken home. Despite living less than half a mile away, we'll gladly make the longer drive to another Beach Bowls location in the future for better service and a more enjoyable experience.

When our order was ready, our name was called, the halo-halo was placed on the counter, and that was the end of the interaction. As for the halo-halo itself, my partner rated it a 2/10. It was overwhelmingly sweet and overpriced for what we received. We were hoping for layers of flavor and nostalgia but got a sugar rush that could probably power a small city. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark on both. The good news? These issues are fixable. A little more warmth, engagement, and hospitality would go a long way. Until then, we'll continue our search for our next favorite halo-halo spot.
