The "manager" gave us a 30 percent discount (how sweet) after our order took 1.5 hours and we had to remind the staff that we needed utensils twice. The drinks were terrible. They couldn't care less. My fiancé and I spent the weekend in Flagstaff, and we loved Lotus so much that we went there twice. We sat at the bar both times, and the bartenders were very friendly and attentive. The first time we went around 9:30 and just had drinks. Their Green Tea shooter is delicious, and I'm not usually one for shots. They garnish it with Wakamomo, which are immature peaches. They are about the size of grapes and are so delicious! We went back the next day right as they opened at 4. We wanted cocktails and apps before heading to dinner a few hours later. We had a few other cocktails--all delicious--and the pork belly bao buns and gyoza. The buns were very flavorful, but my only complaint was that the piece of pork belly was about 1/3 the size of the bun, so there was more bun and filler than there was meat. The gyoza were perfectly fried and crispy but not dry. There were so many other dishes on the menu that looked wonderful. I definitely plan on going back for dinner next time we're in town! read more

The food was good. Server did great but you could tell he was understaffed. The most disappointing part was watching the second floor kids were trying to make drinks. Martini was so dirty I think it was half olive juice the 2nd cocktail was in a daiquiri class. We watched server trying to do it all. Obviously they need seasoned help in the upstairs bar. Delicious food, really delicious. But the gluten free items on the menu are probably *not* safe for celiacs. The menu has a note that the GF selections may not be safe for celiacs. Others in my party strongly suggested looking somewhere else, but I insisted on giving it a try. But they were right. The menu was right. Delicious, but not gluten free. I ordered the spicy edamame (gf) and the crispy Brussels sprouts (gf). The waitress came back & took away the edamame, because she said it is made with soy sauce. I suspect that the Brussels sprouts also had some soy sauce in the sauce. If you have soy sauce as an ingredient, don't pretend that the dish is gluten free. Just fess up and say we don't have any gluten free options. If you say it is gluten free, at least use Tamari, or GF soy sauce. Anyway, for non celiacs, this is a delightful place with really delicious food. The spicy edamame was really spicy and delicious. The crispy Brussels sprouts were heavenly. Our waitress was very friendly, and probably more knowledgeable about gluten than the kitchen staff. If you are a celiac, please go around the corner on rout 66, to Karma, which only uses gluten free soy sauce and tamari. read more

The younger servers have always been rude, but all the others have been great. Being below the historic hotel, you'd think the inside would be more cozy. The people that tend to go there are always to their own groups, as to be expected, however, if you are trying to go out and meet people you might be disappointed. Drinks are at a good price, and are well made. This place is awfully beautiful in the winter, and I would suggest it to those who are visiting the area to drink and then stay the night. If you want the best sushi rolls in Flagstaff, go here! We have tried almost every sushi place here and have been so disappointed. Yes the rolls are pricey, but they're fresh and a decent size. The orange chicken is also really good! It's real orange chicken, nothing like Panda Express. It's definitely not cheap, but delicious and well worth it! I'm little confused by the bad reviews. Food was good, service was bad. Our waiter (bald) seemed annoyed with us being there even though we had a reservation. We felt rushed and like we were a burden. Waiter was not personable at all and definitely hates his job. It was very frustrating since we've heard such good things and we had family in town visiting and we thought this would be a great last meal. Considering we spent over 400 dollars, we should've had better service. If your staff is going to make your customers feel rushed then maybe you should stop seating people so late. read more

Food is good. Service is less than mediocre. I moved to Sedona recently and came here the first week it opened. We had Ashley who was great! My parents came in from Chicago and I was excited to drive up for a double date night. We had Rich and he was horrible.
