Everything was really delicious, especially the teriyaki steak dinner and the clear mushroom soup. The steak in the dinner was cooked nicely and wasn't rubbery or chewy at all. The sauce was flavorful. The broth in the clear mushroom soup was the best thing about the meal for me. I would eat that soup daily, it was so warming and full of flavor. The service was very good. I love the exclusive feel, the unassuming location and not being able to see in from the outside adds to the allure. We arrived 10 minutes ahead of our reservation and they promptly sat us at a small bar and offered us a drink while we waited. I am not a sake drinker, but it feels like a crime to not have one here! The waitress was very informative and let me sample a few - you have to try the unfiltered ones! They are a lot fruitier and smoother than you'd think. Our reservation was for 6:45, but we were sat to begin just after 7 (I think that's intentional to ensure everyone is present when they are actually ready to flip and begin service again). It's a well-oiled machine with how smoothly they flip each 10-person group through the evening. Once the chefs get started (there's two, one per 5 guests), it's so neat to watch them work and create each piece or dish for you. I honestly can't even go into detail about each course of the 14-course experience, it's so intricate and an explosion of flavors and textures, you simply have to experience it for yourself :). What I will say is it's well worth the cost and top-notch food. We will look forward to going back again some day!

This intimate experience was full of unique foods with amazing flavors, various textures, and beautiful presentations. The staff was very kind and personable with each guest, I felt very welcomed by Cherry, and appreciated the individual presentation from the chefs so each guest felt involved and present. While I'd love to go into each item like a usual review, my word count is limited! So instead, I'll just mention that my favorite courses from the night were the Kaki and the Sunomono. Both were incredibly refreshing and truly so flavorful that I can't even think of anything to compare it to. My lovely date's favorites from the night were the Shiromi and Hamachi. She really loved the variation in including the Shiromi with the crunchy base and the mix of fresh fish on top, so good! The Hamachi is a classic love for us, so of course it was a top contender, but the torching added some extra oomph that made it the king of all hamachis we've had This was an awesome experience that I cannot recommend enough! I am looking forward to our next visit and just wish they were easier to snag, but the competition makes it all the more worth it!
