I came here with some friends on a Saturday night. We walked in without a reservation. The only available table was outside. It was a bit chilly too. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco. After a little while the waiter offered us to sit inside because the customers didn't show that had a reservation. The views were incredible and the service was amazing too! We stayed at the Grand Hyatt on our trip to Nashville. Lucky for us, this bar was on the rooftop so all we had to do was take a quick elevator ride. The views are spectacular. It's definitely great for a photo op. Both times we came we both got wine as their wine list is very extensive. They also have some fun cocktails. They had a DJ playing music in the evening. My friends and I came here after LA Jackson was closed for a private event and wanted another rooftop vibe. Solid rooftop bar to start off your evening. It's located in the grand Hyatt hotel on the 25th floor. Be sure to take the correct elevator all the way to the left. Drinks are bit pricier than other spots at the gulch or in the area, but the views make up for it. The bartender was able to make us an espresso martini which was DELICIOUS. The French fries are important to order--covered in old bay seasoning with an aioli. The waiter was amazing. He remembered everyone's name after glancing at our IDs, which made for a nice personal touch. Also must mention that The whole bar smells like fish lol. Naturally the drinks are on the pricier side, but we were prepared to pay a little extra to enjoy our drinks with a view. The view from Lou/na is great day and night. You can see Broadway easily. The bar has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has a few fireplaces with comfortable lounge seating and I think I even spotted a few guests with blankets that were provided by the bar. I do believe you can order off a limited menu as well. If you're staying at the Grand Hyatt, make sure to check out Lou/na! You can also enjoy the rooftop without being a guest of the hotel. read more

I order prosecco, and ended up having a Canvas Brut really good, hubby ordered a Glenlivet 18 and then I order a Moscow mule really good and refreshing. The view is great but this place does not know how to host an office happy hour. We had a reservation for 4pm (the time they open). We were able to get a reservation because we guaranteed a minimum spend of $750. Our party arrived at 4pm. There are 2 elevators that go to the 25th floor however neither of them would go to the 25th floor - the 25th floor button would not light up. My guess is that floor is disabled until someone at Lou/na enables them. At 4:10 we decide to go the 24th floor and find stairs because they would not answer their phone. There's a door with keycard access at the top but we just so happened to find a nice member of the housekeeping staff that let us in. Upon entering the bar we were met with about 5 staff members that all looked confused, not because we showed up, but like they didn't know their jobs or how to run a bar. Our server at first seemed to be confused but as the time went on he was actually really great although the bar was slow and my drinks were pretty weak. We were told the food we ordered would be prepared and laid out in our area upon arrival at 4pm. It wasn't. Side note - the menu is not good for a social happy hour "buffet" set up and they were not willing to come up with any alternatives so we made do with the standard menu. We assumed (never assume...) they would have known to consolidate the dishes we ordered into platters but no - they were all brought out on individual plates. It looked really weird and made people not want to take items. For example, the prosciutto on the cheese board. Instead of each piece being rolled so one piece could be picked up individually, both orders had a wad of sliced prosciutto rolled and clumped into one big wad. You could not take just one piece, you had to take the entire clump of meat. Another example - the meatballs. Instead of a platter of meatballs, they came out on skewers with three on each skewer. People don't want to touch a skewer and pick off a meatball - they want to get just their meatball and move on. Anyone with any experience should have know how to plate up dishes so they could be laid out sort of buffet style so people could go down the line and get what they wanted. The food was good though - the crab cakes were the best. Maybe they are still training new people? This place has been open now a few months so by now they should have worked out these kinks and learned they need to have an event menu. "Sharable" small plates are fine for 2 people but not groups. read more

If I could give them negative stars, I would. Made reservations five weeks in advance for July 4th. Received an email late last night that they have cancelled our reservation (in two weeks, on a holiday) because they are now hosting a $200 per person event. This now leaves us with all the rooftop restaurants already booked. Emailed the gm and of course, that person didn't even take ownership of the "glitch", and blamed the third party reservation service. Horrible customer service- they messed up and should have honored the reservations that were booked. It's not like July 4th falls on any other day, and year! Their lack of poor planning has now put my party, and I'm sure all of the other parties that were booked, out of a reservation. read more

Very excited to arrive at such an upscale looking hotel lobby. Hopeful for its rooftop bar. It was...okay. LouNa isn't really sure who she is. She's having an identity crisis. On the one hand she's glamorous and upscale and that's where she shines. The bar area is nice, the darker lighting is sexy, and of course the outdoor views are fantastic. However, girls walking in in ripped jean shorts and bachelorette sashes ruin the vibe. There weren't tons of that here but I still think there should be a dress code when you're marketing yourself as an upscale establishment. The night we went there was a DJ blasting music, which was weird for a Thursday at 6:30 and didn't allow our group to have good conversation. There's such a thing as sexy lounge music and this was more club music within a non-club establishment. Confusing. Next, the large screen TVs we're playing scenes from a wildlife show with extreme closeups of wild monkeys and sea lions fighting. What? Who's in charge here? We ordered some food at the bar. The cocktails are served without any cocktail napkins or water (again, you're supposed to be a classy bar not a fun dive). The fries were crispy and edible, the ham and cheese plate was just an average plate. Not bad. The brussels sprouts, though, were inedible. They were supposed to be crispy but became soggy due to being doused in some sugary vinegar that was awful. I couldn't eat them. All in all, I'd be back for an outside view as that's about the only thing this place is good for. I think if they got their stuff together and made things more cohesive and higher quality it could be a good spot. read more

But the real MVP of the night was the bartender that ran all the way down the elevators, out the door, and across the street to an off-site parking lot to give me back my sunglasses that I didn't even realized I left at the bar.
