Luckily, delivery to the store occurred quickly and I was able to pick it up on a quiet weekday morning, avoiding the usual lineups. The store was large and serene, with apparel, bags, and accessories displayed at comfortable distances throughout. Ok people. I mean it's Detroit. Had to drive 30 minutes to get there but I really needed a purse strap for my Seedy 20. The doorman was kind, took my name and I waited. Walk through the store and seen a bunch of SA doing nothing. I mean maybe that's how they do to give people time to look, but I knew what I wanted and wanted to be in and out. I seen a SA finishing up helping someone else and went to ask her for help in what I was getting. Now don't get me wrong, I looked as urban as urban could. I'm from Cali and my whole swag was different. I would love to pick a bone with this location. I don't know how they train their associates, but never do they ever offer a beverage when you are purchasing. My husband and I have purchased 4 different pieces in this shop look us up, were in the system. Not ever once we're we offered a beverage or a snack of sorts. Remember, this is part of the Louis Vuitton Experience. I think I'll just stick to New York, and San Francisco shops instead. Then if my hubby or my mom doesn't like it, I'll just return it here since it the closest. Why would I purchase from here if they're not going to their full capacity for hospitality. First time visit. Making an appointment was hard as they were super busy and it took several days to get a call back. I had to reach out via text message to corporate to get a call back. They had a long line when we arrived, but having an appointment allowed us to skip the line to get assistance. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a great experience. Luxury comes at a price and I'd have to say the service was on point. I did purchase a bag and I am happy with my purchase. I had a less than great experience here during Covid. I must say that my last visit has changed my opinion of this particular location. I came in wanting a tote in the Damier Ebene leather that was pretty but very plain. My salesperson was very perceptive and suggested the Odeon PM tote instead. Due to her help I wound up making a smart handbag investment choice instead of a subpar one. I wish I remember her name. She was a Japanese lady with a degree in textile design I believe. She knew so much about the materials, the manufacturing process... it was great. I truly felt like she gave me the care instructions to keep the bag pristine. This is the location I live very close to. I am huge into purses and small leather goods. It's kind of my thing, a bit of a passion. I used to make my purchases while I traveled or online, but I realized if I'm going to spend this kind of money, I may as well develop a relationship with someone at the store instead of at the department store. I went during the week right after lunch time. The store had a fair amount of people milling about, but I think most were just looking and experiencing the brand. I went in to buy a Neverfull Bag but wasn't sure what size I wanted. I was approached right away by Lori and she helped me figure out what size I wanted. I am definitely contacting her for all my needs as well as my mothers. I'm very sensitive to being up sold and I'm not afraid to tell some one to cool it or walk away when its annoying. She got a sense of what I wanted and answered my questions pertaining to specific wallets. Lori knows the brand well and if she didn't have an answer, she asked someone who did. I think this place is nothing compare to other LV boutiques i have visited in other countries and state! First thing the service is mediocre, but I think there's a reason for that! While at Somerset Collection I had to check out this location to see how it compared to my location in Pittsburgh. This particular location offers leather goods and accessories, sunglasses, men's and women's shoes, Mon Monogram, hot stamping of your initials on your wallet, handbag or other leather good purchase and complimentary WIFI. The store is thoughtfully laid out with plenty of space to move around without being in another person's way. Upon entering I was greeted by one of the salespeople and asked if I needed any help. I told her that I was just there to check out their shoes and she told me to take my time and have a look around and that she would check on me later. She did check on my later and even brought out some new styles of shoes in my size that they hadn't even put out yet. This location had a lot of different men's and women's shoes and sneakers which I loved as my home location does not carry them. Every employee I came in contact with were each very friendly and not snobbish at all as I have experience in other locations. Since I had already made a shoe purchase at Saks I was good and refrained from buying anything this time but, I will be back soon! read more

I been a regular customer for this brand for a while now, shopping in Miami, New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles and I can confirm that in each location I've been offered a beverage during and after shopping but while I come to this location I have a few complaints. Besides the fact that they don't offer me a beverage but I went in one time and a young man around the age 20ish I wanna say was taking care of me and a few of my members. I had asked him a question reguarding sone jewelry and he responded "uhh we don't make those customizations here that's something that's obvious and common knowledge" rude response towards my simple question...I brushed it off as if it wasn't a big deal but very unprofessional, then during the entire time there he could just whip out his phone while we would try to speak to him and make us repeat what we had to say as if he didn't hear us. Oh my gosh. They are so rude. We were there to pick up an order we purchased from the Las Vegas store. First they are too busy talking to each other to acknowledge you. Finally get their attention we informed them we were here to pick up an item shipped from Las Vegas in which she replied "why did you have them shipped here?" Wow! While she went in the back room a gentleman came to the counter asked if someone could show him the sunglasses, with an eye roll the sales lady said they are over there. I was very disappointed after driving an hour and a half to this location only to be denied an exchange because I was a few days outside the return policy. I have shopped this store many times over the past 15 years and will no longer be purchasing LV's. The manager could have made an exception which I begged for but she denied it. I must say, this LV store just keeps disappointing, after spending more than $25k collectively over the years, I will never be shopping here again. The quality of the service and customer experience is absolutely terrible and keeps getting worse. I don't know how they hire these people and also how they are trained. They literally don't have common sense or the LV knowledge. My last experience at the store made me write this review: I was in Las Vegas LV store by the Aria and I bought 3 items, LVxFragment Wallet, LVxFragment 55 Keepall, and LV 65 Eole, all totaling around $6.2k . The two bags were options for my brother's bday and as usual, I had the luggage tags hot stamped. My brother ended up choosing the LVxFragment 55 Keepall so I decided to return the LV 65 Eole. Everything was good as I went to the Michigan LV store, a lady greeted me, asked me for my receipt, and took the product to the back. She comes back and says the bag is not returnable due to the hot stamping on the luggage tag. I tell her that LV sells the luggage tag separately, so I asked her to deduct a new one (~$60) from my refund. She goes on to say as to how I can't do that and that the bag is customized. I understand this logic if it was on the actual product, but it isn't and it's on a piece that can be re-bought. I see the security guard come over like there might be a dispute, but I quietly walk out the store. I call the Las Vegas LV store and they flat out tell me the lady at the Michigan LV was wrong and doesn't know what she was talking about. They said that they would allow me to ship the bag back to Las Vegas for a full refund and deduct the cost of a new luggage tag and that I could keep the hot stamped luggage tag for my self. They also provided me with a UPS return label so I wouldn't have to pay shipping costs. Now this is what I call a true customer experience. They took time to understand my issue and provided a resolution that met my needs. I will never be buying anything from this Michigan LV store again due to their incompetent employees and will continue to buy online or buy from the large out of state LV stores where the employees are respectful, knowledgable, and courteous to their customers, and most importantly provide a great customer experience. read more

After being a huge fan of this brand for 9 years, I'm ready to spend my money elsewhere. Like another review mentioned, if you hot stamp a luggage tag that comes with a bag, that bag then becomes non refundable. Of course, this logic makes no sense because the tag is removable. But that's not why this LV store is terrible. The reason I am done with this brand boiled down to me taking my pocket organizer to be reglazed after having it for 7 years. I kept it in excellent condition, with only one small crack developing since I've had it. Now, I would have brought to this LV store to get reglazed, but I will explain this later in the review. After about 3 weeks, my organizer was shipped back not reglazed, with the explanation that there was a crack and that too much glaze had worn off for it to be reglazed... If you are reading this, just let that sink in. What was disappointing is that I purchased a multiple wallet and a zippy coin purse after sending my organizer out to be reglazed and I couldn't return which I will explain later. I've since then sold both items because I don't want to deal with them possibly not being repairable in the future. Now, the reason why this store is a joke is entirely due to their customer service. I won't say every SA is bad, because some aren't too bad. However, Lori and another SA that I can't remember the name of (has an accent, about 5"3, long brown hair, brown eyes, buck teeth) hold the torch high as being the worst to deal with in the store from my past experience. I've spent $6000 at this store. I know a lot of people may spend more, but 6k is a lot for me. My purchases include a Damier Graphite and Monogram Macassar Keepall 55, Damier Graphite Michael and Christopher Bag, a pair of Runway Sneakers, and a purse for my wife. I returned both the Michael (didn't like it as much as I thought) and Christopher (beautiful bag that feels fragile) and the Runway Sneakers. Apparently this place doesn't take too well to returns because I was told that the Runway sneakers would only be a store credit because they were ordered from the warehouse. As ludicrous of a policy that is, I let it go and accepted a store credit which I used to buy the multiple and zippy coin purse. Keep in mind I purchased and returned the Michael first, then bought a Christopher after. After owing the Christopher for a day, I decided to google any issues people have had. I come to find out people say the Christopher is highly prone to cracking. I later text Lori to ask if she has any insight on this, and her response was nothing short of a condescending "I don't know what "blogs" you read online, but our products are made with the highest quality." (LV doesn't use the highest quality... this is a joke). That's weird Lori, because why wasn't my pocket organizer repairable? Oh yeah, CRACKING. Since I was in Atlanta for a business trip, I asked my wife to bring the bag back. Lori then made the remark to my wife "oh he couldn't bring it in on his own?" with a tone that she was insinuating that I was too scared to do it myself. I later sent Lori a text asking if they had another item in stock which she ignored. TL;DR - If you want an LV item and don't care about what experience you get (some SAs are pleasant, Ron was the best when he was around) and you never plan on returning anything then this store is for you. Then again, if you are buying canvas items from there, you aren't buying anything of real value. I have been told straight up by an SA from a different state that she would never buy Canvas because the material is NOT worth the premium. read more

I have quite the collection, and when I went in to check on a strap from a handbag that ws only a year old, they gave me the run around. First they said it couldn't be repaired. Then they asked again and said it would cost $65. Then when spoke to manager they said I would have to buy a new strap for $260. Really??!! Within 30 minutes I was told 3 different things. How can such a high end place have such horrible customer service and management. Keep it up, this is why online shopping is so much better then dealing with all these imbeciles. I was very disappointed with this store. I went in to look at some bags as I'm trying to decide which one to purchase in the very near future. I walked in with my sister and we were never greeted the entire time we were there. I wanted to ask some questions, however the sales associate that I was going to approach from across the room looked me up and down and turned the other way. I know I look like I'm college age (I'm 37 and petite, but get told I look 22 ALL the time!) but don't treat your guests this way! I have worked retail in the past and learned that you can't judge. I've been wanting a LV bag for years and was excited to start making a decision and narrow down my choices. At one point I was literally standing next to 2 associates and they never acknowledged me. Took my purse in to be repaired, received regular updates from my sales woman...when my bag wasn't able to be repaired she advised me that they would replace the bag or credit me with the price of my bag and could use that towards a different one.
