Other reviews are correct. Wouldn't come here again. Went for cologne for a birthday present only to find out that they don't have an engraving machine (haven't had one for 3 yrs). The website directs you to come to store for engraving. The salesperson was generally nice, but interested in helping to see how I could get an engraved cologne via delivery or any other method by the date I needed it. While in the store, another customer came in and asked for a refill of cologne and was told they had been out for a week. He was frustrated because he said he had called in advance. The store is clearly poorly managed, they don't seem to care about making sure customers are happy with their experience. The vibe feels like, "we are LV, because you want our brand, service doesn't matter". If the person I'm buying this gift for didn't really want it, I would've left and spent my money elsewhere. read more

It may I ordered some customized luggage online. It took about 2 1/2 months for it to be delivered. But when it was, Brenna called me to let me know that I could come pick it up in store. Previously, I only use the Tysons corner location but now I only use the city center location for all of my LV needs. The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I visited here several times. The initial visit, I browsed the store and no one approached me so I walked out. Not that I was set on purchasing anything specific but if someone would have engaged, I might have spent some time here. Every time I have visited, security was at the front and always greeted us and held the door open. Another visit was around Christmas time and I was there to purchase a gift for my mom. It was super busy and all the associates were busy assisting other customers so we browsed around first. Not long after, we were offered assistance. I informed the associate of the items I was looking at and she immediately retrieved the items. She then offered us waters. I wanted to check on a bag that I purchased for myself to see if they still have that bag, to which our associate took the time to look at my account, located the bag, and informed me they no longer make that bag. I finally decided on the item to purchase for my mother and our associate went to the back to properly wrap the present. That process took a lot longer than expected but I am sure it was due to several customers requesting the same. Since we stay at a nearby hotel often, I visit here maybe every other time we are in town. read more

Living at CityCenter and having only purchased LV wallets for the past 30 years, I was excited to come here with my mother yesterday as we were prepared to spend thousands on some quality goods yesterday. We were very disappointed. First off, the selection sucks. For such a large store, it is bare. I didn't even see men's wallets. The biggest surprise was the lack of customer service. Not one person offered to help us and the ones we went up to just looked us up and down and were of no help whatsoever. We couldn't even figure out who was working here and who was shopping. We left within minutes. If you want LV products, just buy online. If these people work on commission, they must be making minimum wage. Look yourself up and down in the mirror in your studio apartment, CC LV employees, because that's probably how you live. read more

I have to admit that I was concerned about the level of customer service I'd receive at this location based on some of the other experiences posted online. Rest assured that my treatment was stellar. One star is deducted because they have no bathroom for customers no matter how much you plan to spend. There is 2-hour, metered street parking, and a city parking lot that will run you about $20 during the day and $15 in the evening hours. An underground garage from Louis Vuitton is available with the store validating your parking if you can find it. The exterior and interior of the store were well maintained. A little busy during my visit but I was helped and paired with a representative who was great. Myrek made recommendations, was easy to talk to, and was overall very personable in my experience. Although some items were not in store, he ensured that they were ordered and added them to my profile. I received the tracking number later that evening, much sooner than anticipated. There are no holds here as the inventory can be dynamic. You can order online and pick-up in store or order in-store and have the items shipped at no additional charge. I found my sales representative to be very accommodating and knowledgeable about the products and other topics. Appointments are helpful but not mandatory. Calling customer service beforehand can give insight into whether your item is in stock and how you'd like to proceed. A much better experience than the Charlotte, NC location. If in the area, I'd frequent this location again and would recommend them. I'm very pleased with my selections. read more

Long story short I started questioning out loud the customer service not being in line with the money spent someone rushed over to help. I ended up purchasing a bag and boots so to the other people who ignored me, big mistake, huge!! Gucci and David Yurman have consistently greeted me at the door, which I appreciate. Your girl loves a good city center shopping day. I've been eyeing a new purse for some time and told myself I'll only get it if we were promptly greeted here. Walked in on a quiet and hot afternoon to a nearly empty store so naturally we were greeted and assisted right away. The SA saw us checking out some perfumes and offered to give us samples without us even asking. When he returned back to the front, that's when I told him I was looking to make a purchase. He found the purse I was looking for and happened to be the last one in stock in the color I wanted. Payment was quick and easy and we browsed through their RTW while he wrapped everything up. I've made other smaller purchases from here before and had a similar experience but I do agree if they are busy, it will take some time before you are helped. read more

We travelled four hours to purchase a bag but when we arrived we found out that it was not in stock. As we entered the building, we were acknowledged by a staff member at the door. He let us in the building and we were expecting someone to guide us where to go. None of the staff at the counters acknowledged us so we informed the staff member at the door that we had an appointment. He directed us over to the counter to be assisted by another member. There were at least four other staff members on the floor. Within the first few minutes of entering the store, the atmosphere in the room led me to believe that they felt I could not afford the items in the room. One member after assisting a client told us she could assist us. She was pleasant and helped us purchase a scarf. She offered us water and coffee. My wife had water only. She offered other items for us to see also. Overall, the experience was okay. We would rather order online than experience this in-store. read more

I had the pleasure of receiving an invitation to come to this brand new Louis Vuitton store in City Center and attend their special pre-opening sneak peek event. Wow, I am so happy that I was able to attend. Located on the corner, in Palmer Alley, this store is beautiful, receiving natural light from two sides of the store. I found the store to be quite small, but apparently it is one of the bigger stores in the area (compared to Tysons and Chevy Chase). Walking in, I was immediately greeted with a glass of champagne, Moet & Chandon to be exact. I was also warmly greeted by a sales associated who took his time showing me around the whole store. On the right, you have handbags and totes, straight ahead you have the men's section, slightly to the left of that is the travel section (suitcases and duffel bags) and to the immediate left of the store is where the jewelry and sunglasses are, and then eventually the shoes. There is also a small lounge area in the shoe section, where they have loveseats and ipads for you to relax and browse the store's inventory from a catalog. I did end up making a purchase and am so happy that I did. I was there for about two hours, in which I was told to sit down, relax and enjoy myself. I was also supplied five glasses of Moet & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot, along with a few hors d'oeuvres. I'm not sure if this is typical to expect every day though. Also, I was happy to hear that they also hot stamp here, although I will have to come back and get mine hot stamped since the machine wasn't working yet. Already, I can see that this is my favorite Louis Vuitton store in the whole area. Also, for those who care, they do validate parking. read more

THEFT. I visited the DC City Center store and had an absolutely terrible experience! I typically only shop at Louis Vuitton in Europe, and my experience shopping in the US solidified my reasons for doing so. I went to refill my travel perfume set and was told by an associate, very rudely, "we don't do this here." After going back and forth, arguing with this employee, I asked for the store manager. Rafael Nunes, the Team Manager, spoke to me and was equally unhelpful. After more discussion, he stated that the refills could, in fact, be ordered, just not refilled in store. I placed my order on January 26, 2022 and was told I would receive it within 3-5 days. I never received my order. I have called and emailed Louis Vuitton customer service several times and have only been redirected to the store, which does not answer when customer service calls! I spoke to Ashley M this evening, February 4, 2022, and she indicated that my call is sitting in the store's queue and has not been answered, despite more than 72 hours elapsing! I am absolutely appalled by my experience with Louis Vuitton, and this company has now lost a loyal customer. This is essentially theft: I paid for a product I have not received, and the Store will not respond to my calls nor customer service's to tell me where my order is. read more

Walked in not expecting much at Louis Vuitton as they are infamous for not having the best customer service. However, this was by far the best service I have ever received at any luxury store. The line outside was long due to COVID-19 so if you are looking to window shop this might not be the best time to do so. Once it was our turn to enter, I noticed everyone inside was social distancing and all staff were wearing masks. They even made sure you sanitize your hands before entering. The reason why I am writing this review today is because of Alexa, the sales associate who helped me with my inquiry. She was so kind and genuine. Not once did she make me feel like I was not wanted in the store ( I have felt like this numerous of times when entering luxury stores like LV). She was hands down the best sales associate I have ever dealt with and deserves employee of the year. I made a promise to myself that I will only shop with Alexa in the near future even if I have to travel long distance. At the end of the day when you are spending your hard-earned money on an item, having an honest and patient sales associate is very important. Please reserve your time with Alexa as she deserves all the commission in the world. She's the epitome of going above and beyond for clients. read more

1) You'd think with the big real estate for high end goods in this part of DC that this store would have a big space, selection, and inventory-- nope! I hit walls when I walk around.. figuratively as well. 2) One of their items did not have a source/ brand stamp where it usually goes & when queried on why due to concerns of people wondering its authenticity, I got a laugh before an answer that is obvious. No one's going to buy that item without that stamp-- certainly not moi, please. I do my research & when I ask SAs, it's to reconcile my research and can easily tell if an SA doesn't know their items to a T. Just because SAs work there doesn't mean they're very knowledgeable or interested (like obsessed that they know the ins & outs) in their products. 3) They did not offer to order the item for me while I was already physically in the store so I've decided to wait for a Chanel when the item I'm looking for comes back in stock. Time allows me so much leeway to change my mind on a certain piece. Anyhoo, if you want something from here... be assertive/ aggressive & make a point to talk to an SA as opposed to expecting an approach. Don't waste time waiting-- just immediately ask for the piece you want. Also, don't be intimidated. You have buying power & it should not matter what you're wearing or who you are to receive excellent service from a brand that esteems themselves one of the top luxury brands in the world (not that they are in my book). read more
