Okay place is pro and top notch great place great vibe, food is good / super solid Appetizer are super solid Drinks are real deal French onion - good to average it's lite, little depth on the caramelization. But good, personally I think French onion should be rich, with more depth. Mac & Cheese super solid. Brussels and asparagus top of class. The chicken fried Ribeye. Good. Not life changing but solid. I've been wanting to eat at Lounge Here for a while and finally had dinner there a few weeks ago when I was visiting family in Dallas. The restaurant/lounge has a really cool vibe - very mid-century/Mad Men meets West Texas/Marfa. Its owned by the founders of some musical groups you might have heard of (Polyphonic Spree) and they own Good Records next door to the lounge. Our group of four tried two drinks from their great cocktail menu. I had Superstition (rum, guava, and hibiscus bitters), which was light and refreshing and the right amount of sweet for me. My dad tried La Paz (tequila, grapefruit bitters, Fever Tree tonic, and a white wine foam), which he really enjoyed. We all shared the crab toast (creamy crab salad on baguette toast points with goat cheese and tomato-bacon jam), which didn't sound like it was going to work but everyone loved. I shared the "A Southern Caesar Salad" (blackened chicken breast, fried green tomato croutons, romaine, buttermilk Caesar dressing, and Parmesan) and the chicken fried ribeye (panko crusted wagyu ribeye, shaved brussels, and duck fat gravy). The salad was surprisingly good - simple but with some fun little surprises like the croutons. I had heard a lot about the chicken fried ribeye, but it didn't quite live up to its reputation for me (the meat was a little tough and chewy and the breading separated from the meat entirely when you tried to cut into the chicken fried steak), but it was still good. My brother loved the shrimp and grits (emmental cheese grits and tasso gravy), and my stepmother got the veggie burger. The menu is fun and some of the food was really good, but I think I'd go back for the drinks, vibe, and experience more than the food. Still, a very cool experience - I enjoyed myself! read more

We so wanted to love this restaurant bc it's in our neighborhood and feels different than other restaurants in the area. Drinks- We ordered wine so there was no going wrong there and dirty martinis. Food- a huge disappointment. The deviled eggs were the best thing we ordered but nothing special about them. The fried steak needed salt and had an old oil taste that we tasted later for days. The crab toast was terrible- a strong fishy taste (tasted like canned tuna), crumbled goat cheese, and barely any bacon tomato "jam" on a hard crostini. It was not edible. I ordered the soup special- sun choke- it was fine but not something that would keep me going back. $175.00 including tip for 2 people. We love eating out- this ticket price did not match the taste and quality of the food. Very bummed. read more

Feel free to try different drinks. The bartenders clearly were inspired coming up with the recipes. The ambiance is kitschy tongue in cheek low key diner feel. And sometimes they have live music. Came here for my boyfriends birthday. Parking lot is very tiny with not many spots, recommend Uber or Lyft. Also make sure you have a reservation. Restaurant is small with a low light and intimate feel. If sitting at a boot there's dividers between them but if at a table in the open they are very close together and you will hear your neighbors conversations. They weren't super busy while we were there but tables on both sides of us were full & bar as well (went on a Wednesday night). The food was really great. We made it in time for happy hour. Service was just ok (I was a server for 9 years so I know what to expect especially for not being busy). When we received the check there was a charge for us to split the entree which was not disclosed by the menu or server at time of ordering. Neither of us had seen that before and we are big foodies that eat out a lot. Then there was also a non-cash adjustment fee which we had also never heard of before. Overall I'd maybe return again on a slow night during the week for happy hour. Place is definitely pricey. The hidden fees & and mediocre service are definitely a turn off. read more

I don't even want to write this because then more people might visit but I can't say enough good things...I recently moved from NYC and have been hunting for great food and a great vibe, this place is it! The Decor: From the outside I definitely made a joke about it maybe being a strip club because it's so dark and plain you would pass it by, BUT make it inside and it's awesome, small and intimate with a small bar in the back and low lighting with mid-mod vibe. Clean and not too loud even when we visited on a busy Saturday night around 8/9pm. The Food: OMG order the mussels!!!! I'm gonna go back for them as soon as I possibly can. The spicey beer buttery sauce is soooo good and perfectly balanced. The burger my friend had was also delicious with great flavor in the meat. The portions are decent, add a glass of wine and you'll love it. The staff: Friendly and prompt, we noticed the hostess especially she was working her butt off clearing and checking on tables, kudos to her and if management/owners read this, she needs a raise immediately. Overall a glowing five stars and I'll be back to get some pics of the food and of course have as many mussels as I can. Lounge Here is one of my favorite neighborhood gems. After finding out that they were reopening my girlfriend and I could not wait to get back in. When you pull up to this place you honestly have no idea what's waiting for you inside and I get giddy every time we walk in. It's the cutest place to just get away and enjoy some great cocktails and food. You feel so lucky every time you get to visit and you should! There are little reminders everywhere to stay safe and healthy and they did it in the cutest way! There is a cute little sign right at the entrance reminding you to wear a mask, QR coded cubes for your menu, plexi at the bar, and hand sanitizer everywhere! Not to mention the edgiest hostess, servers and bartenders all masked and happy to serve you! They even jazzed up their outdoor space and it's the perfect place to start your night before making your way inside. We walked in around 5:30pm Saturday with no reservation and were able to wait outside until seats at the bar opened up. From there, dirty martinis were happily consumed with their garlic parm fries :) My girlfriend got the southern Caesar salad to go and said it was bomb! The deviled eggs are also a go to of ours and the here burger will leave you delightfully comatose. My boyfriend visits this weekend and we have a dinner reservation and I just can't wait to show him this uniquely perfect place! read more

Today was my 1st visit to Lounge Here. I had a wonderful experience! The ambiance was nice...very laid back & zen-like. The waitstaff were friendly and although a full house, I never once had to ask that my glass be refilled. All were attentive, and engaging. My cocktail was made to perfection, the beyond burger, house salad were excellent! My truffle fries were good but not great, thus the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The truffle fries have the potential for greatness but they have to be hot...not room temp...no exceptions. I like any speakeasy type bar without a visible sign, so they had me at 'Hello!' But beyond that; this lounge does it RIGHT! Parking is scarce, but you'll find a spot if you want it bad enough. Seating is limited in this intimate setting, but that just gives you a cozy warmth in a friendly loud den! You will feel like you are at home, if you live in a '70's Airstream Trailer with an ultra-hip custom interior!! It's loud enough that you'll need to yell at your waittress, but if you get Shannon - she might like ir! (She is great!). I like loud bars; you can talk about ANYTHING, and no one can hear you! Appetizers are SOO good! Deviled Eggs, and Pimento Cheese & Chips are both to die for. Other choices were good, but these were my faves. Food was good, including CFS and the Here Burger. Very tasty, but hey - this is a bar. So lets talk about the DRINKS. We tried several great drinks from their house-specialty list (allow extra time for these) and our normal drinks were good too (Amaretto Sour, Old Fashioned, Vodka/Red Bull, beers, wines, etc.). The lounge vibes are made clear by the booths lining the walls on either side, all well-lit and good for couples and groups of 4. Cocktails are kept classic but well done, no choice is a bad one on their program. Crab cake appetizers are $19 well spent, and the food is simply what you need for dinner. We were seated immediately and then we just waited. After about 10 minutes, I said something to the hostess. She said she could take our order then she walked away.
