Live in Downey near the mall, 15 spots around here and decided to shoot my shot here at Love Nail Spa. I have problems with ingrown toenails on both big toes both feet. It's really difficult to find someone good. I had been going to the same place for over 5 years every few weeks, until they closed recently. Love Spa Nails is near my home and tucked away in a small shopping center. The first impression is large nail saloon that looked clean and very inviting and nice staff. The professional that did my feet was Mia, thank goodness I found this lady. She was patient and worked methodically towards undoing the damage and pain I was having in my toes and feet. Mia was very sweet and has an amazing attention to detail that you wished for everyone to have in this industry. I got the $50 amazing spa, let me tell you! Never had pampering like this. Nice water temp, on the warm side. No rush, let these baddies soak then inspected and cut, cuticles gone. The ingrown toenails worked on patiently and can tell she was trying to spare me of pain. Then callous removal, to scrub/massage, then steam bags for my feet with some fancy sauce, used steam rags on steamer on my legs/calves, more massage with some oil and lotion, ended with care instructions and treatment for my nails. My feet feel wonderful. The best I've ever had thanks to Mia. $51 bill was worth the luxury treatment and doctor to fix my two ingrowns. $54 tip because it was that wonderful, $104 total and happy as can be. Price doesn't really match the quality. $27 for a pedicure that includes callous removal, hot towel treatment, and a 5 minute massage. I've never once in my life paid for a 5 minute massage and actually gotten a 5 minute massage. (Except for a spot in Cerritos where they actually put a timer in front of you!) They rubbed my legs for maybe 15 seconds each leg and that's it. The service itself was OK, I just hate when I pay extra for specific things and they are half-assed. Hot towel treatment was just rubbing the lotion off my legs with a hot towel. Not sure if that's all it's supposed to be. I came in with my own pair of sandals and was told they would mess up my toes so I needed one of their sandals, except they wanted to charge me an extra $2 for them. Those dollar store sandals they hand out after pedicures have always been complimentary in my experience. Very mediocre nail salon. Only reason for returning would be to see how well they do cat eye design as they have a big selection of colors. Not a horrible salon, just... Meh. There are better spots. read more

Unfortunately I had a horrible experience here! Came to try it out since it's near me but I left so unhappy & in pain. I went with pretty long nails and asked to keep my shape and size and the man who did my manicure literally cut my nails as short as can be. The French tip was just awful. There's even a piece of brush hair in my nails. I just couldn't wait to leave. While filing with the machine, he had it on such a high speed that it kept hurting my nail bed. And not to mention, during my gel pedicure, my big toe was cut and three days later my toe still hurts. When she cut to trim my nails, I've never experienced such pain getting my nails done!! I stop to this place couple of days ago , to get my acrylic nails removed. It was a terrible and painful experience. The technique was horrible to the point that 1 nail got removed from the nail bed . The man did not care about the situation and even offered me a manicure while my finger was bleeding The area was so dirty and he did not ware gloves to touch my bleeding finger . I had the pain in my fingers for about 1 week and had to take pain killers. I do not recommend This place . Be careful if you decide to go cuz u might get an infection read more

This last time put me over the edge because they soaked my daughters hands in acetone over 40 minutes! When I told the male worker it's been to long, he ignored me and kept telling me to "hold on". Then the female manicurist kept putting her nail back in the acetone until got up and moved the bowls away myself! Totally unprofessional and rude!!! I'm so mad! I went on a Sunday I get my nails done at my favorite shop Caboodle Nails which is around the corner but didnt know they were closed so I went here instead. Huge mistake. I take good care of my nails so I just wanted gel set done. They told me to wait 10 minutes. No problem. 10 minutes later a guy calls me over and pulls out acrylic nails. I told him I just wanted gel. He scoffed and rolled his eyes and told me to "just go back over there" so I sat back down to wait. 3 people came in after me. When asked what they wanted they said manicure and pedicure so they were seated immediately. I thought, "uh okay. So to get service here you HAVE to get a pedicure?!!!" Finally 30 minutes later I got called over. I sat down and immediately the woman kept trying to push for me to get acrylic. My nails were naturally long and the healthiest they'd ever been so that was really offensive. I said no just to gel. I told her I wanted a pattern done of two colors by skipping every other nail. Instead she did all one hand one color and the other hand another color. The whole time making rude comments about my nails. As a former nail biter with high anxiety that was a touchy subject that most nail techs are so damn rude about. Not only did I leave feeling highly offended and unhappy that she did my colors wrong but two of the nails chipped within a week. Never ever again. This place is literally a one minute walk from my house but no way in heck will I go there again. I'll walk around the corner to Caboodle where I won't be demeaned by the staff and walk out with quality nails. read more

Been coming to these people since 2009, when they were located in Norwalk. 5/6/23 I went in for a fill. 2 days later, the clear coat of gel was showing bubbles. And started peeling. I went back 5/9/23 to have them do the polish over. Calvin charged me $5, to FIX THEIR MISTAKE. All he did was file off the top coat of clear and gel, do one more gel coat and one coat of clear. THE VERY next day, 5/10/23 that CoaT started to peel. I went right back and they tried to act oblivious. I asked them to remove the gel completely and do it over properly, they wanted to charge me $10 to do "all 10 fingers cause only 3 were peeling". I didn't pay them another cent. 6 days later my polish is again, peeling and now have air bubbles. (THE POLISH WAS BRAND NEW BTW). I wanted to go back to have them fix this, but I rather not go back at all, LOVE NAIL SPA has definitely lost a loyal customer of over 13 + years... and they wonder why my never comes here anymore. Nail tech i got kept staining my pants while the pedicure took place... she stained with the scrub and the hydrating mask.. but i drew the line at the oil lotion combo... it was literally on my pants...i made the host/greeter aware and all he said was she didn't "understand"me.. like i was talking basic english.. the only thing they did was apologize.. all the while my pants are ruined with a big'ol oil stain... ‍smh.. to the management staff.. please take responsibility for the what your workers do.. and don't play the language barrier card.... we live in a melting pot.. and com1munication comes in all forms not just language. read more
