came once for a pedicure. I have never had ingrown nails or infections from any shop until I came here. After my first pedicure appointment my big toes were in pain on all sides after a few days, I got to a DR and I'm told I've got to wait for the infection to clear then take nails out. 2 months of antibiotics and it's clear but it was painful. The same service ended with the tech going over my pinky toe knuckle and buffing off my skin and making me bleed. The tech then giggled and rubbed my toe repeatedly stating, "it's ok, I'm sorry". I came back only to get a manicure 1 month later. THE SHOP WAS EMPTY. I was the only person in the morning. The tech rushed for some reason...(I was in desperate need anyway so I can't choose) gave the tech an inspo pic and I thought it was simple... I asked for acrylic and was told she couldn't. Didn't prep my nails/ just warm water, light buff, base, color, top. The dotting tool used had nail polish from previous use and she used a buffing block to clean it? I'm not sure if this is normal.... The picture is same day. Cons; 1.Got multiple ingrown toe nails and infections (this has never happened before) 2. Couldn't do acrylic (didn't tell me why) 3. Rushed 4. Not like inspo pic. Pros; 1. Fast ? literally rushed. 2. The color match is pretty great. 3. The tech is so nice, is an angel tbh. 4. They accept multiple methods of payment

Wendy and Vicky were so sweet and polite!! Vicky helped me pick the color and charm. Wendy did a real nice French tip I will definitely come back again come down and see all the designs ladies so much to choose from!

Displayed business hours are 10-7. Arrived right at 10 and it was closed, at 10:32 its still closed and of course I use no one is answering the phone. There is no sign stating the salon will be closed or opening late today. Another patron was also waiting and was still there when I left. She has a lot more patience than I do. read more

They were very attentive, friendly and welcoming, Vicky was very helpful with helping me decide which color to get (I am very indecisive ) so I really appreciated her recommendations! I'd recommend this place, a hidden gem! I made an appointment the night before and when I showed up, I was seated right away. I arrived to my appointment and they were very kind and was able to take me in right away! The time I arrived it wasn't so busy luckily! I got my gel dip powder manicure and my gel pedicure. They had many different color options which I loved! They took there time to do my nails! They explained the prices before my service making sure i understood what i was getting and paying for. They made sure all my questions were answered. Love my nails and will definitely be back!! Highly recommend coming here!! They owners here are new and nice!! read more

first time getting fake nails and girl let me tell you this! she takes good care of you! she makes sure you come out that door with boosted confidence. i havent stopped looking at my nails, they are so beautiful. she takes her time with you just to make sure she gets every nasty gunk off your nails and toenails! 5/5 recommend and you definitely should get that gel girl.. because i am just stunned! read more

My girls are always so nice and know what they do. They came from Huntington Park and i still drive a distance for their service! No matter what they always make you feel welcome and listen to your needs. If you have an ingrown toe nails. Rest assure they will make sure they get it out with no problem. They will offer their suggestions on colors and designs but it's your call at the end. Make sure to give them a call for an appointment, just makes your visit a lot easier. They will take walk-ins but just make sure you go with enough time. They take pride in their work and pay attention to detail. Don't rush perfection! Thank you girls for always making sure I leave happy. read more

Lady was super rough after I asked nicely if she could be softer, she wet all of my pants although they were folded to the top. CHARGED EXTRA FOR COLOR REMOVAL ON MY PEDI, isn't that a part of a pedicure!? ASLO CHARGED EXTRA for dipping my nails which isn't something I asked for or was asked if I wanted it. Had to walk back in due to seeing a horrible callus removal which I barely even had. Lady uses all used products. Scrubbers aren't new or sterilized. read more

I've been a customer of Downey Nails and Lashes for nearly two years, and the nail technicians have…read morebeen phenomenal. Their work is consistently excellent, which is why I've often recommended them to friends and family. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the salon's management and front desk staff. Their scheduling and customer service are extremely disorganized, and they seem to have little regard for the customer experience. The salon routinely overbooks technicians and assigns walk-in clients to technicians who already have upcoming appointments. Despite making appointments every time I've visited, I've regularly been forced to wait 15-30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, even though I make a point of arriving early as a courtesy. My most recent experience was the final straw. I scheduled both a lash lift and an acrylic fill. When I called, the receptionist told me my lash appointment would be at 5:00 PM and my nail appointment at 6:00 PM. However, the text confirmation I received only listed a 6:00 PM appointment. On previous visits, I had been told by the front desk that appointments are not considered booked without a text confirmation, so I reasonably assumed the salon had adjusted my schedule and moved the lash appointment. When I arrived at 6:00 PM, the receptionist informed me that the text confirmation was incorrect, my lash appointment had actually been at 5:00 PM, and I had missed it. No apology was offered, nor did anyone attempt to rebook the service. I then asked if I could still proceed with my 6:00 PM nail appointment, only to be told that my nail technician would not be available for another hour. The receptionist blamed the delay on my technician's timing, which was both inappropriate and inaccurate. I've worked with the same technician for two years, and she has always been professional, efficient, and respectful of her appointment schedule. It was clear that the salon had double-booked over my appointment. Their only solution was for me to return at 7:00 PM, which was not possible given my schedule. This experience was incredibly frustrating because I genuinely love the work of the nail technicians. However, I can no longer tolerate the level of disorganization, poor communication, and lack of accountability from management. As a result, I will not be returning, and I can no longer recommend this salon to others. The business needs to get control of its scheduling and customer volume before more loyal customers have similar experiences.

I went to get my nails done, originally I wanted to get my nails completely removed and get a new…read moreset done and they quoted me $95 but then said with the 20% discount it would be $76. So I sat down and waited patiently for the nail tech to be done but more people were coming in and I don't mind waiting but instead they decided to pull this guy who was smoking a cigarette outside on his phone who looked like he didn't care or didn't want to be there to do my nails. Umm... ok I guess. I thought to myself but hey I was trying this place out and who knows he might be a really good nail tech so I wasn't trying to judge a book by its cover. So then as he started I noticed he didn't clean my nails or trim my cuticles or anything and I was curious because I've gotten my nails done already from other salons and they've always taken care of my nails and properly prepped them the same ways but this guy was skipping almost every step?! On top of that instead of upselling me he downsold me, I wanted a whole new set because my previous set was chipped and starting to fall off and he said no he had me do a fill instead which I mean if my nails were still go to do a fill than whatever I don't mind saving money but he said it would be $15 cheaper so it should of been $61 but instead I was charged $68. On top of that as he was doing my nails he was not measuring the nails he was not filing them correctly and was not even he wasn't even layering my hands to make sure both hands we're symmetrical I had to keep doing it myself! I had to keep telling him to fix my nails because they were crooked or jagged and I was just kind of frustrated at this point and wanted to get it done and over with. He even was getting the French tip design wrong and had to redo it a few times. By the time we were done my nails looked somewhat decent and I was ready to go because I was just done with it. Oh and he only did one layer of clear coat and didn't even oil my cuticles or anything like that. And it's just him! I saw the nail tech next to him working on a different client and she was getting such a different experience than what I was getting When I got home I re looked at my nails under different lighting and realized he glued hair in my nails which is disgusting and I can't take it out unless I file the nail down, the nail polish is streaky and bubbly and even after all the corrections I had him do some nails are still jagged on the edges and not smooth! I wish I would have gotten the guys name because they have 3 guys there but I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE not unless you get one of the ladies or guys that actually give a shit compared to this man that did my nails cause clearly he did not want to be there and rushed/botched my nails Also it's only been a few days and the nail polish is already falling off.

********DONT GET LOST******** Google Maps has the address incorrect. It took my gf about 10 minutes to find the place because of Google Maps. It is on a strip to the side of the 99c store sort of along some apartment buildings. Like a previous reviewer, my gf and I followed them from their previous location. TBH, it worked out better... since my gf lives in north Long Beach and it was closer. Well, better for my gf. I prefer not to go with her and do this stuff. But w/e. She pays for it and my dignity is only surrendered temporarily. Again, the biggest appeal to this place is that it's cheap and clean. I noticed a billion other nail places and hair/nail salons in the area. But this one seemed to be very clean relatively to the other places in the area. At least from the outside of those stores. I guess their prices are super low because they need to undercut the other businesses... works out better for the consumers I guess. The owners are nice. They try to speak to me in Vietnamese when finding out that I'm vietnamese. But my Vietnamese is poor so yeah. They have a bunch of massage chairs. That's something new that wasn't in the new location. There's also a TV. This is the one spot my gf can drag me to for nails. It's cheap, efficient, and I leave without feeling too much of a girl. It's really difficult to find someone good. I had been going to the same place for over 5 years every few weeks, until they closed recently. Love Spa Nails is near my home and tucked away in a small shopping center. The first impression is large nail saloon that looked clean and very inviting and nice staff. The professional that did my feet was Mia, thank goodness I found this lady. She was patient and worked methodically towards undoing the damage and pain I was having in my toes and feet. Mia was very sweet and has an amazing attention to detail that you wished for everyone to have in this industry. I got the $50 amazing spa, let me tell you! Never had pampering like this. Nice water temp, on the warm side. No rush, let these baddies soak then inspected and cut, cuticles gone. The ingrown toenails worked on patiently and can tell she was trying to spare me of pain. Then callous removal, to scrub/massage, then steam bags for my feet with some fancy sauce, used steam rags on steamer on my legs/calves, more massage with some oil and lotion, ended with care instructions and treatment for my nails. My feet feel wonderful. The best I've ever had thanks to Mia. $51 bill was worth the luxury treatment and doctor to fix my two ingrowns. $54 tip because it was that wonderful, $104 total and happy as can be. An older man whose name I do not remember, and a young woman named Vi (or Lv, I'm not sure of the spelling), worked on me that day. The quality of service was very poor compared to my previous visits. I told the older man not to cut into my real nails, but he still worked very roughly and carelessly. They cut my foot during the pedicure, and my hand became red after the manicure. My hand is still red now and very painful. I am very unhappy because I trusted this salon for a long time, but this experience was careless and unacceptable. I hope the owner improves hygiene, technique, and customer care so this does not happen to anyone else.
