I've ordered plenty of things there and have never been disappointed. I came today with a friend who has allergies and she could get anything on the menu as they are peanut free. Lovebird can only be described in three words. To die for. The fried chicken is absolutely amazing, because it's not like KFC or Popeye's. There is barely any grease on the chicken and it is nice and crispy. The sides are great too! Their fries are always fresh, the mac and cheese is super tasty, and for a person who doesn't like vegetables, I will say that the brussel sprouts are actually pretty good. Stopped in on a Friday night for the first time. We got our meal to go. As soon as you walk in it was very noisy. You can eat at a community table or sit along the window (not much room). Waited about 20 minutes (better off calling order in). When we finally got our food it was just ok a little too expensive for this kind of atmosphere and in my opinion it's a lot like Chick-fil-A. I think if I'm going to eat a chicken sandwich that is on the same order as Chick-fil-A I'd rather eat at Chick-fil-A. This is not a gourmet chicken sandwich. My first thought was - another food place in Doylestown. I became intrigued because I do love fried chicken and taste it in every city I travel to when the opportunity arises. Unfortunately this place did not make the list of my favorite place for fried chicken. We walked in and ordered a full fried chicken, nuggets and fries. The take out order took forever and someone finally came up to us to say that it would be out. When we got home and finally got to try the chicken we were disappointed in the flavoring of the batter which was sweet. Also the batter was not as thick as we would have liked on the outside. The nuggets were okay and fries a bit on the soggy fried size. Forgot to mention how costly the order was. Tried Lovebird for the first time. We each ordered the miso-garlic glazed wing/breast, a side of crispy brussel sprouts, a side of cole slaw and a side of fries. Everything came out correct except the chicken. It came out fried. We were so hungry we didn't send the chicken back. But I did let the girls at the ordering desk know. No apologies, no comps for the mistake. No one from the kitchen came out. Front of the "house" needs training. I would like to try the miso-garlic glazed chicken the next time but it will be the last time if they get the order wrong again. BTW there is very seating about 15 people max. Food is very good as with all lovebird locations. I have ordered from the Doylestown location 3-4 times. Have called, used the app, set a time to be ready (not ASAP). They NEVER have the order ready. Ever. They don't get close. If you like good chicken go to any and all of the lovebirds. If you have plenty of time to kill, choose Doylestown. Currently sitting here at 550 waiting for a 530 order that I placed at 415. That about sums it up. read more

I was attracted to try LB by the fact they are non-gmo and get chicken from a reputable farm . Knowing that, I knew it would be pricier. I had their seasonal sandwhich with brie and cranberries and it was delicious. I paired it with a side of fries and it was $14. Pretty, trendy interior. I understand why others complained about the seating. Fortunately it was nearly empty and we had no problem snagging and enjoying the window seat. read more

Super cute atmosphere but lacks seating. I had the lovebird sandwich with tofu, the toppings were great but they need to start draining and pressing the tofu so it's not just soggy and falls apart. I got it "fried" and it had good flavor but it was very damp and the texture was a mess. read more

We ordered takeout the first week this place was open to take back to my school. Two of us had the grilled chicken blt, one had the fried chicken 2 pieces, and one had the kale caesar. We ordered at 1115 for 1200 pickup and it was ready. The place was packed when we got there and smelled delicious! The grilled chicken blts were delicious. They didn't match the picture online, but nonetheless very good! Le Bus rolls are always delicious. The kale casear and the fried chicken came with dressing and sauces on the side. The sauces were only filled up halfway. They were tiny and certainly not enough dressing for the salad. The fried chicken was delicious and not greasy. No utensils or napkins with the food. My husband and I are patrons of Lovebird and have been since they opened. We consistently get good food. I have had their Brussels sprouts, hand cut fries (yum), the lovebird chicken sandwich (grilled and fried) fried chicken (2 pc) and the holiday bowl with grilled chicken. Everything is delicious. Personally i think they get chicken very right ...especially in flavor. I love that they use Amish sourced organic chicken (I do not have to worry about msg!). I love the flavor of the chicken ... miso garlic ... it's comfort food at its best. The restaurant is not large and features one large family style table and a window bar with stools. Stopped for lunch, and got a 4 pack of Chic and the Brussels sprouts. The quality of the actual chicken and seasoning is very good, would prefer a little more substantial coating - the "fried" part was relatively thin. Was served lukewarm, not hot. I recognize they are using organic chicken, and these birds do not get too big, but note: 2 pc breast and wing, or leg and thy are not quite a full serving. The wing, was barely worth the effort. The sprouts were good and tasty, but a little greasy, which you notice more as they cool off. These came out a few min after the lukewarm chicken, but these were right out of the fryer - hot! Then there is the space, again a new shop, but as soon as there are 5-6 people in line, it is loud! Needs some work on the acoustics. Seating is one community table ( could sit maybe 10 people) and about 5 window-bar type seats. Service was very good, pleasant, but a little awkward ( another new shop issue - I hope) . I love fried chicken, so I hope to see some improvements, as for Dtown not much for other options. read more

We stumbled across Lovebird on a long weekend trip to PA. What a find it was. I had the seasonal salad with fried chicken (I'm usually not s fried anything person) the chicken was perfectly breaded and light. My husband had the grilled chicken on a brioche roll and the Brussels sprouts which he said were both amazing. I eat free of most allergens and the staff is very knowledgeable and eager to keep customers informed about potential allergens in there dishes. I ordered a LBLT sandwich at the new store in Bryn Mawr and it was the best chicken sandwich i ever had. Everything including the bun was mouth watering. Smoked crispy bacon, Grilled chicken that was tender and juicy and with savory tongue pleasing seasonings., fresh bibi lettuce, mayo, tomato and avocado. I hate to say this about a small local business, but I think if you specialize in one thing, the one thing should be REALLY good. This place has a small, small menu, that specializes in chicken and chicken sandwiches. The fact is..mine just was...not great. Lets start with the price. I get that you may be overpaying a bit for the way they source their ingredients and stuff..but I spent nearly 20$ on two chicken sandwiches. I would spend 9$ a chicken sandwich 2x a week..if it was worth that. The chicken itself was on the dryer side, okay to look past on its own, but hard to forgive on a sandwich. You could tell everything else on the Baja Bird sandwich was extremely fresh and crisp. The sauces are amazing. I used the special sauce. The environment is open and bright (think how you might see the approach most breweries tend to take). Only issue is most of the seating is confined to one long table. In all, I believe a restaurant with one main ingredient should knock that main ingredient out of the park. Maybe this was a one off experience but I would think twice before I chose a sandwich again (might give their other items a chance). read more

Awesome food. Awesome staff. Ownership is hands on. Menu is simplistic but original . Bread is always fresh and legit from local bakery. Grilled chicken is seasoned with magic delicious something. Fried is always cooked perfect and the texture is consistently crunchy. Salads are filling,,, fresh and dressings are def made in house.
