I previously wrote a great review! They do a good job on your nails, but if your nail breaks or chips they won't help you at all. They are clearly understaffed and the customer is NOT their priority. You can't just go to another nail place to get it fixed for they don't have the same color. So if you need to get just one nail fixed they will Not make time for you or help you in any way. Go to a place that will help you no matter what and keep enough staff to accommodate their customers. I will never go back. read more

I thought I had found my go to nail salon. I always loved and was happy with my nails but today I was very disappointed. Upon arrival I showed a picture of what I wanted done. One of the males said he could do it. The nails on my left hand are all the same length but two nails on my right hand had broken off so it was obvious that those two nails needed length. He stared with my left hand and everything seemed to be ok but once he moved to my right hand I noticed he wasn't going to lengthen my two super short nails so I asked if he could add length to make them all the same. He proceeded to tell me he didn't have time to lengthen them because he had a 0430 appt. My appt was at 0330. Now I'm left with different size nails and it does not look nice it looks horrible. Im now scrambling trying to find a nail salon that will fix two nails which is the last thing I wanted to do tomorrow morning after working a 12 hour night shift tonight. read more

I had a very good fill/gel manicure! My nail tech was Lou. He took time to clean around the cuticles, making sure I did not get cut. Nails well shaped and no speed bumps! Very natural looking. I recommend this nail shop. read more

They were flat, bumpy and they definitely didn't have a good shape. I paid $45 for the full set at the bad Salon but was only charged $28 for this fill here at Lovely Nails (thats what you see below!) Such an amazing job! This nail salon is definitely my favorite. Here, unlike at many other salons, I actually feel comfortable enough to relax and enjoy my pedicure, manicure, or when I'm getting a new full set done. The manicurists here aren't gossipy or rude like those at other nail salons; They make an effort to make their costumers feel comfortable and don't speak loudly in other languages or give us attitude. They are careful and attentive, making sure that their customers are pleased. The salon itself is very very clean. The spas are cleaned after every use and towels are always warm and new. I'm always happy to see the utensils being sanitized right before my eyes. In addition, the products that they use are very high end. The have a big selection of polishes, much of which being from OPI. They have a special "Deluxe Pedicure" that includes foot scrubs that make my feet feel amazing every time. Plus, its for a super reasonable price. In addition, there is a good combined price for manicures and pedicures. No matter what, each pedicure or manicure comes with a good massage that always leaves me feeling rested and relaxed. They also offer a big variety of other services including waxing (eyebrow, upper lip, body) and facials or massages. You can get a pedicure, manicure, and eyebrow wax for about $30. Walk-ins are welcomed, so you don't really have to make an appointment (although, it's better). I've done walked in a few times and I have always received prompt, quality service. read more

This nail salon is a gem! First, I have to say I am super picky about my nails and have gone to several salons around Long Beach and this has (by far) been my favorite. I went on a Friday afternoon around 2pm to just get my gel color redone (I didn't have a manicure) and my tech (I think her name was Dana?) did a lovely job. She was friendly, but not overly friendly, detailed-oriented and didn't rush. The salon was clean and quiet. I will definitely return to get a gel mani and pedi. *I must admit I'm not a huge fan of the shopping center it's located in. Parking can be limited and awkward. read more

Don't come here: Sign says $5.00 for gel. They charged me $10 and said it was $5.00 for clear gel only. Paid $10 for gel that didn't have a clear gel coat or a gel base coast. Asked for a manicure, she acted surprised when I asked her to do the manicure before putting on my nail polish "oh...you want me to clean cuticles?" Um, yes. She pushed at my fingers and didn't cut anything. So when I pointed out that I would like my cuticles cleaned more, she put oil and said "no skin" I asked to wash my hands, and pointed out where I needed to be cleaned. She continues to push and say "no skin no skin" as she pushed the to on my finger tips but didn't really do anything. This is an extremely delayed review... But I just out all the pieces together. Here's the scoop... I went here with my husband at the end of April before going to Vegas for our anniversary. The job they do is good, but not great or above and beyond by any stretch. But that's minor compared to this... Our first night in Vegas, the same day as the pedicure in the morning, I awoke in the middle of night in excruciating pain from my left toe. It was THROBBING and I could not sleep the pain was so bad. Next day the pain subsided, thank goodness. Now, 3 months later, with no other pedicures received other than me painting my toes at home, my left toe nail, from the base of the nail bed, is FALLING OFF!! I'm led to assume I have some sort of infection that lingered and resulted in me losing a TOENAIL! I'd stay away from this salon. Although I guess you can never be too sure about any nail salon truthfully. read more

Got a gel manicure here yesterday. Overall I was very happy with the service. It was $22 to remove my old gel and then get a new gel manicure. When I sat down, the gentleman that did my nails gave me a water bottle which was very nice. He did a great job with the gel manicure and I could tell he took his time to make it perfect. (Just FYI: The length of the nails is different because that is what I requested) They have a pretty good selection of colors and the salon itself is very well kept. Everything in here is old; the chairs, desks, flooring, towels, pillows They placed an extremely old and dirty pillow on my lap dirty my mani/pedi.. Ew!! My dog has cleaner pillows! This has been, by far, my favorite nail shop I've been to. Each technician takes their time, they put a lot of care and pride into their art, their work. I appreciate that. They always greet me with a bottle of water, their seats are comfy, tons of gel colors to choose from. I just get a straight gel on my natural nails and it lasts a full two weeks (would last longer but my nails grow fast!). I got a gel manicure with gems as part of my design and it was only a total of $26, not bad. Since i got gems, without even asking them, an extra gel coat was added in order to prevent the gems from falling off. Who does this for their customers? Not every nail salon. I will never come here again! I paid for a full set ($35) plus tip within 4 days I had two nails completely break off. I came to get it fixed free of charge and the guy who fix them yet again did a horrible job! He used so much glue on my nails that I didn't even notice I had acrylic pouring over the sides of each nail that got fixed. Fast forward two days later and another nail breaks. I go in to get it fixed and they tell me to come the next day! How are you going to tell someone your too busy when you didn't do your job right the first time. Such an inconvenience to have to go to the nail salon for the third time. Not to mention when I got the set the guy took an hour and a half and the second time I went a different guy took thirty minutes for two nails. AVOID this OVERPRICED place. read more

Great service, I didn't catch my technicians name but it was a man with glasses. He did a very good job, I really appreciated the time he took on my cuticles and hand massage after. So disappointed in this place. I had to come here because my regular nail lady is on vacation at another salon. The lady who did my nails at Lovely nails was so slow and it wasn't because she was taking her time. It was as if it was her very first time doing the job. I was there for nearly 2 hours! My nails came out horrible and I had to tell her where she needed to fix them. Finally another lady stored in to help. John is my nail guy he is great for my aqurlics with gel and designs, I always make an appointment just to insure i get him to do my nails but walk ins are welcomed to. French tip pedicure with callus remover and a fill with gel polish and designs i walk out spending less then 50$ the prices are very reasonable on any budget! I am new to the area and wanted to find a good inexpensive places to get my nails. I dropped by with no appointment on a Thursday around 1:30 PM. I was helped right away!! They don't have much nail polish color options but they do have a good selection on gel polishes. I got acrylic nails with a light nude OPI nail color. It was only $22!!!
