My rat friends frequent this street as there is a fruitful dumpster down two blocks away. I went out for a ravage fest but for some reason the trash wasn't hittin. I walked back out of disappointment then saw that Lovely's was open. It's in a cute courtyard full of pebbles and benches in Two Pitchers Brewing Company so you can also get some beer to down your big ass burger bites. I ordered myself the classic burger and fries as that was all I could stomach after a couple sad bites at the dumpster. The Original Fried Onion was so fire. It tasted just like McDonalds but without the crazy ass chemicals. You know McDonalds engineered their food to hit the pleasure points in your brain - y'all seen the GMO-go-crazy documentaries. You get pure freshness here. The smashed grass fed patty was juicy with a crisp and the bun was soft but it didn't fall apart. Fries were damn good too. I'm juiced to try their other sandwiches, especially their version of the filet-o-fish. I don't care what anyone says, filet-o-fish is delicious. You know how some burger joints put a bunch of shit in it and you can't even taste the burger no more and it tastes like ass? This aint the case here at Lovely's. If you're disappointed at what the dumspter been giving lately, ditch those plans and get your classic burger here without the bullshit. read more

I love Lovely's! My favorite will always be the Drive Thru burger - so simple and classic. Almost competes with in n out for me. The line for Lovely's is definitely worth the wait. Just get some drinks while you wait in line. I can sit here for hours with a few pitchers and a burger talking with friends. There's indoor/outdoor seating, dog friendly, and accepts credit card. An impressive menu for a relatively small popup inside of the excellent Two Pitchers Brewing! The chicken sandwich, fish sandwich, and hot dogs all looked awesome, but we only had a burger and it was super tasty. Honestly , never been a fan of restaurants that close Before their closing time. This is place is GOOD for closing before the closing time. Stopped by on a beautiful Saturday to check out the burgers and beer at Two Pitchers. Man, this was one of the best smashed style burgers I've had in the Bay Area! I got the OG w a double patty and it was so good I ordered a second lol. The onions are paper thin and the patties are crisped and juicy. The second burger wasn't as seasoned as the first and needed a dash of salt but everything else we ordered was fresh and so good. The fries are cut fresh and perfectly crispy/salty. The line was short and went very quickly and all of our food came out within ten minutes of ordering it, maybe faster. Def my new favorite food and beer spot in town. The staff, seating, and vibes were all awesome. They had a solid playlist of music bumping all afternoon. Ice cream cone was solid too! read more

Lovely's, a walk-up burger joint in the courtyard of Two Pitchers Brewery, offers vegan Impossible burgers. Watch out for long lines during peak times. I got a "The Drive Thru" burger made vegan ($8.75 + $5 extra for an Impossible patty and vegan cheese). The burger tasted great with a good bun, nicely-cooked burger and subtle vegan cheese (I'm not sure of the brand, but it was probably Violife, if I had to guess). That said, it sucks that the vegan option is so much pricier than the non-vegan version. The fries ($4.75) come separate and were great: crispy on the outside and hollow on the inside. The onion rings ($7.50) were pretty good. Two Pitchers as a brewery failed to wow me, but I liked Lovely's. It would be awesome if they added a vegan chicken sandwich and vegan softserve. read more

My first time trying this place. I guess I am a bit pragmatic about my review. The burger was soggy and the meat was so unfulfilling, it was perhaps maybe 2 ounces of a super thin slice of meat in a burger that's falling apart because of the gushy tasteless sauce. The fried fish dish was good but they give you one tiny container of Tartar sauce for three big pieces of fish and they charge you for containers and a 3 percent processing fee . I am NEVER GOING back there. I think an in and out burger is any day better than theirs. Very disappointed. I don't understand the crowds of people there . I guess people with a lot of disposable income who could care less for what they pay for terrible food. read more

I had a great experience at Lovely's! Parking is tough and we lucked out with a shorter line when we stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. The service was fast and the food was delicious. The onion rings had such an addicting, light, and fluffy texture - similar to tempura. They were my personal favorites of our order. The burgers were juicy with well seasoned patties. Might be the best burger spot in the entire Bay Area. Been coming here at least twice month since November 2022. Insanely delicious, these smash burgers aren't too heavy and wont knock you out for the night. I always get the double. I like to think of Lovely's as a better executed In-n-Out. Their french fries will back me up on this. Perfectly salted. Don't even get me started on the onion rings. This place is so hot right now. Expect to wait 20 to 30 minutes before ordering. There's a line of people waiting to order every night unless you show up right at opening or the weather kind of sucks (since it's outdoors). Don't be discouraged. This meal is well worth the wait. Want shmackin' food and drinks, but don't want to break the bank? Lovely's is your spot. They have amazing burgers (the best in Oakland, perhaps even the Bay) AND they're reasonably priced. They also offer a really cheap beer at the bar, I'm talking like $3 cheap, and it's good for what it is. I'm unsure what the beer is called, but it won't be hard to find out once you arrive. There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor self-seating, but this place can get quite busy. I don't think I've ever experienced an issue finding a table though. I have two gripes, first one being that I wish ketchup was readily available. You have to ask for it, but if you already have your meal and you need more, it can be difficult to get because the staff is usually pretty busy. My other gripe is that their fries are just meh. Not bad, but just whatever. If they upped their fry game, I'd give this place a 10/10, but until then it gets a 9 from me. read more

The ambiance of the place is casual and communal in feel, tucked in between two tall walls. The satisfaction of a Lovely's burger (IF it's brought out to you hot) is more or less the same satisfaction you'd get from an In-n-out burger (though not the same burger profile). There is always a line at Lovely's, which honestly is not necessarily a negative as you can be sipping on a beer as you wait in line. Parking in the area is not great though and if you've been circling around several times, waited in line for well over 40minutes, and your lukewarm chili willli and fry crumbs do not deliver -- you will be left feeling a bit unsettled. So I've been eating my way through the fried chicken sandwiches of the Bay for about a year now. I was super excited to see the great reviews for this place so I headed over on a Saturday afternoon shortly after they opened, at about 4:30 in the afternoon. The line was long but we decided to stick it out, thinking it'll move and be worth the wait. The line was a killer, a slow SLOW crawl for about an hour and a half just to sit and wait another half hour for the single sandwich and onion rings I ordered. After getting my sandwich, I will say it was pretty good. Filling, nice dark meat, and just the right amount of spice. The onion rings, which were nearly $8, left much to be desired. Also, its pretty pricy for what I got, and I can definitely go to another "Hot" establishment nearby for more food, same overall taste, for a but less $. The wait is really what I had to remove stars for. A 2 hr wait is pretty wild, especially for a smaller menu and a ton of people working. If they get online ordering up and running or something, that would been nice so you don't have to literally stand for hours. They do have a nice brewery attached, so if you aren't in any type of rush, want an outdoor space (dog friendly, no heaters, though), it's a nice watering hole. What a fun place! Being attached to a beer garden makes the ambiance on point. The two of us shared the hot chicken sandwich and OG burger with fries. Hot chicken sandwich was delicious and flavorful, the chicken thigh was crispy and juicy! The burger was excellent, I do wish we ordered a double though because the burger was small! There is almost always a line, which is usually a sign that a place is good. They ran out of fries and corn fritters around 9 pm when I was there. They only have outdoor, uncovered, no heat lamp seating, which is shared with Two Pitchers. Large space though. Seat yourself after ordering and grabbing a number, they will bring the food to you rather quickly. We got our food within maybe 10 mins of ordering. Street parking was not too difficult on a Saturday night The Drive Thru $8.50 - very good basic cheeseburger, sort of like in n out with the thousand island-like sauce. you can taste the quality. normal size Hot Chicken $14 - solid spicy chicken sandwich, not a nashville hot chicken sandwich. it had a nice kick (not too spicy or mild, just right) and was perfectly fried and juicy. normal size Onion Rings $7.50 - ok. light batter. comes with some kind of creamy sauce. very small portion. honestly it is nothing special and not worth it. you can basically get a whole burger instead for the same price. skip read more

My partner LOVES Burgers and won't say no to a burger... like ever. We came out here at 4pm and the line was getting a bit long! The place was pretty crowded considering it was 4pm. Right next door is a brewery as well so you can grab a beer with your burger. Price range wise, it feels midrange for a burger. So slightly above the price of a super duper burger, a bit fancier than your average place. What I like about Lovelys is the options and the ambiance. The beer lights hanging, the space, the menu and lovely's sign. It was such a nice night. I love that sweet spot in the evening when the lights are on and the sun is slowly setting. Since they have a bunch of outdoor space, it is very dog friendly as well! Bring your pup. OK the food: Corn Fritters - So good. I love corn. I love fritters. Flake salt. Can't go wrong Fries - GREAT fries. Not my all time fave but pretty damn good. We got two orders and wolfed it down. Western burger double patty - Delicious and flavorful. When I took my first bite I had that moment of "Damn, that's good." Fish and Chips - Coleslaw was on point. Fish was super plump and succulent. Delicious, not too heavy! The wait time is about 20-30 minutes, even on random weekday nights. We went at around 8:20pm on Wednesday and still had to wait about 25 minutes. There's outdoor seating as well, but we ended up taking it to go. We got the original fried onion burgers (the OG) with a side of chili cheese fries. The onions in the burger were sooo good and really added to the burger. Although there weren't really many fresh veggies in this one, it was mainly meat, it was still very flavorful and delicious. I thought it would be too heavy and I would knockout after this, but it was the perfect amount of food. The chili cheese fries were alright, probably would just get the regular fries next time. Or how not to be Lovely. This is the only thing to eat in the Two Pitchers brewery. The queues are long, like 60 people deep on a Thurs night. I went another time where there was no line. The food is ok, nothing remarkable. Burger and fries, how hard is that? Feel sorry for those who wait in the long lines. Then my buddy went to order some food later in the night and he was the last guy in line. Some guy comes out of Lovely's and basically cuts him off, apparently a last call at 9:15pm. The last guy in line. He couldn't take just one order. Then the Lovely's guy (pictured) asks my friend to leave because he was understandably upset. The lovely's guy should be fired. He was all whiny saying "this happens every night". Well I'd say you should fix this pattern. I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen my friend loose his shit in about 17 years of knowing him.
