The garlic bread isn't your typical conventional garlic bread, it's a sub-sandwich roll cut in half with slices of moz thrown on. The food arrived pretty cold but did arrive just over 30 minutes. Me, my wife and two friends had the pleasure of having a diverted Delta flight heading to Atlanta land in Savannah. We weren't allowed to de-board the plane for 3 hours because it was an international flight, and when Delta and the Savannah airport could finally figure on locking us in holding cells we were fed pizzas from this joint. They somehow made like 50-60 pizzas, got 'em through security and they weren't cold. Besides being a little on the greasy side and only having the choice between pepperoni or cheese, they weren't bad at all. Horrible service. They were not busy. Ordered 2 large pies and cheese bread, inquired with the employee about delivery for future as my parents just moved to the area, he was flippant and unsure but said it was because he's not from the area. He said 15-20 minutes. I sat in their waiting area and wait and waited and waited. I went to the counter after 35 minutes and the clerk working the counter checked, tried to give me the wrong pizza and then realized they had been sitting in the back for a while. I asked to speak to the manager. This snooty true to Georgia woman comes out of the back and seems agitated she has to deal with a customer. I try to explain the situation and she was very rude. She interrupted me, blaming 16 year olds. I politely attempted to inform her that the job of a manager is to train the staff, she cut me off again. While she sarcastically offered to remake the pizza, I explained I was in a hurry and tried to request that she provide a credit for next time. She absolutely refused, being very unprofessional. You'll feel like you just arrived home, with the frilly curtains, red-checked tablecloths and homey atmosphere. We got a pepperoni pizza and a Greek salad. We were delighted to see that our pizza had a nice thin crust, and both of us had more pieces than we planned, as the flavor was good and not too salty. For a small pizza it was a generous size. The dressing on our Greek salad looked homemade and was a flavorful addition to our Greek salad. I've had their supreme pizza and pepperoni several times, and while it had good flavor, literally every pizza I've had from here was soggy in the center. I have gone to Lovezzola's quite a few times in the past since it's one of the few sit down homemade pizza restaurants in the Pooler area. In fact, on this night, I was bringing new customers in hopes that they liked the pizza as much as I usually do. Unfortunately, the whole experience was a huge letdown. First, we were greeted with "what do you want". Total loss on southern hospitality. This didn't seem like a big deal until later. After my party and I clearly stated we wanted to get their Daily Special listed on their board for a 14" pizza with garlic sticks. It's been one of their specials for a while since it's what I usually order. My party and I sat down and within about 10 mins One member of our party got his stuffed shells. He sat there and ate almost all of his food before our pizza arrived 20 mins later. So after waiting 30 mins for food, one member of our party is now done with his dinner, our pizza came out but without the bread sticks. I mention we were missing the bread sticks and the girl says "you didn't order any". I corrected her and said " we ordered the special that came with bread sticks". She said" I can't read the specials, you have to tell me you want the special with the bread sticks, you didn't order that". I was flabbergasted by this response. How can you be an employee here and not know the specials that have been listed there for at least a year. We were charged the right price which is different from the rest of the specials. I had my 5 year old little girl with me so I stopped talking to the server after this answer. The server continued to tell me how she gave me what we ordered and she was not responsible for this mistake. I finally had enough of her attitude and raised my voice to her telling her I am not going to argue with a kid such as herself and she is wrong on this occasion. Not once was a manager offered. Not once did they even offer to refill our drinks or any kind of reconciliation. Just a kid with attitude allowed to berate a customer on their floor. We received a half and half tea and a sweet tea. I took the tea back up to the counter to obtain the unsweetened tea that we ordered. The dark haired young girl at the counter just stared at me. I had to repeat myself and then it was obvious that she didn't believe that we ordered the unsweetened tea. The attitude was horrible. She didn't apologize. When I received the correct tea and I said thank you, she didn't say a word. Not you're welcome, not anything. We are not hard to please people. She was rude. Then we received our pizza with a thin crust instead of the crust that we ordered. (Crust was soggy in the middle just like other reviewer's complaints.). She had 1 job. The pizza is actually pretty decent being that you are getting it from a place that is a cross between funeral parlor, or an establishment off of 95 in Georgia pretty much...so by decent I mean edible. Driving many hours from Miami to a stop-over on our way to NY, we were starving and looking for pizza when we found this place. Pleasant looking and clean when we entered, we ordered a plain cheese pie and drinks, and sat down and waited. And the counter help was very pleasant. How could you go wrong, right? No, this is not a gourmet establishment - but it's not trying to be. It's a family-friendly local pizza place and has harbors no delusions about being anything more or less. The pizza is alright; personally, I think the calzones are much better. (I've never been able to finish one in one sitting, but I definitely don't mind having leftovers!) Lovezzola's is also one of the few places in Pooler that has room for large gatherings, so if you're looking for someplace cheap to host a birthday party, bridal shower, etc., in the area, this is a pretty good bet. read more

We were hesitant at first to order from here because the reviews aren't stellar, but after ordering once, we were hooked and it became our go-to pizza place for take-out and delivery. I can't speak for any other items on the menu, except the pizza...which is delicious! The crust is not too thick and not too thin and the cheese and tomato sauce are fantastic. I probably won't be frequenting this establishment when in town again. I grew up going to lovezolla's and always loved it. My experience there last night was disappointing to say the least. One member of the staff was so despondent and seemed baffled by simple requests, such as "will you be restocking the salad bar?" (Um... No lettuce, two Limp cucumbers, a few squashed tomatoes, no crouton and past diners "salad mishaps") I actually didn't get and answer from the employee. I continued to watch her mope and pout as she "made attempts" to do her job. To top that off my pizza was not as good as usual. She started huffing and puffing right in front of me! Eventually she became more cooperative and less annoyed.
