Let's start off by saying all Baldino's are not created equal. This location falls very short of the quality I've experienced at other locations. The sandwiches are ok BUT they are not giant! My ham, salami, and cheese sub had a mere 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of salami, and 2 slices of cheese. That is hardly a sub, let alone a GIANT sub. The taste was decent. Oh and they charge extra for pickles. Really? you charge extra for a normal sub topping? It wasn't like I was asking for extra pickle. Save your money and go to a different location or sub shop. My daughter went to the counter to start our order. The bathroom door was locked and when I asked if I could use the restroom I was told no. I let the young lady behind the counter know we were planning on eating lunch! I was in a desperate situation by this point my daughter was still try to make an order. I had to rush next door to the gas station to use the restroom. I went back to ask why and was told that people make the restroom dirty! And just buy chips. I have tried calling the restaurant, but the phone keeps hanging up as soon as option 1 is chosen. This is the third time the subs have been wrong. There is no identification on the wrapper so we have to look at the inside of each one. Mine should have extra cheese. It doesn't. There are no toppings that were requested. This location was awesome up until a month or two ago. I would speak to management, but cannot seem to get through. Update: apparently the wrap on the pepperoni or salami wasn't removed. This was my first time here and I was really skeptical about what I would get for $3.99 as the day's special. Was I wrong. I got a sandwich that Jimmy John's, Subway, Firehouse and few others would absolutely charge you $10* I am beyond surprised in the filling and the taste. Now you not only get the sandwich but also a side. Like potato salad, macaroni salad, chips or soup of the day. Yes people and all that for $3.99 on the day's special. Service is fast and friendly. One of my favorites from when I was a kid. This is true Jersey style subs and they are huge! This location is corporate owned and attached to a gas station, but don't let that scare you as it's clean and there's plenty of room inside. I stopped here clearly without checking my Yelp app. Forgive me! I was traveling alone driving myself and didn't have time. I am the one who did without....I deserve it. Totally kidding. I've had this sub place up in Marietta close to home and had success. This location....not so much I ordered a turkey, ham, provolone, bacon half sub heated on the griddle. I added lettuce, onion, sweet peppers, Mayo and mustard. Total was a little over $10.00. I would've been fine paying that total if the sub were good. Exhibit A...look at the picture. The bottom piece of bread is layered with provolone, one piece turkey, one piece ham then the thinnest bacon ever and the toppings mentioned above. So basically I ate a veggie sub. I ate the first half of a half and then only ate the 2 slices of meat out of the second portion. I'm not about eating all those carbs for nothing. The only reason I gave this place two stars was for the bread which was really good and the service was nice and friendly and allowed me to make my own sub as it wasn't on the menu. Then again I am questioning why you wouldn't have a traditional club sandwich on your menu? Also, the sweet peppers that were added, there were TWO pepper rings on each side. Went to get 2 whole subs. Only one employee of the three working wearing face masks and they were preparing the food. I was told they were out of masks. Received 1/2 subs when I ordered whole subs. They admitted their mistake and instead of preparing the other half of my subs right away, they put it at the end of their queue. So I waited as 4 more patron's subs were made. When they finally started on the second half of my subs I noticed that the halves were small, the worker stated she went in the back to measure my sub and it met specifications- btw it wasn't wrapped so no telling what happened in back. When my second half subs were presented to me the worker exclaimed, "have a blessed day" really loud. I am a Christian and take exception when someone assumes that I am having issue with an order because I am not a man of faith and just a heathen complainer. Their service was poor at best. The second half of the Italian Battalion sub I received was riddled with mustard and contained 1/3 the meat of a double meat sandwich. I frequent two other Baldinos quite often for lunch, so when a colleague and I were in Pooler for lunch, I suggested this Baldinos. What a mistake. Walking in, the restaurant is open for dining in, it's bright and clean. We walked up and ordered, and the lady behind the counter seemed in a hurry, even though no one else was in line. When my colleague ordered, he was asked if he wants his sub the Baldinos way, which he asked what is that. Instead of her telling him, she pointed to a piece of paper and, obviously annoyed, said, "it says it right there". I knew what I wanted, so I didn't give her the chance to ask me any questions, thank God. So we waited a few minutes and he got his sandwich, the Baldinos combination. Mine came up shortly after, the hot Italian and a cup of soup. Our first thoughts were we ordered a kids meal. The subs were smaller and less meat than the "eat fresh" place. There was half the amount of meat as the other Baldinos and the bread was not the same, smaller is an understatement. I needed a spoon for my soup, so I went back to the counter and asked for one, and the young man pointed to the condiment station. I said there weren't any there and he went back to talk to a manager. The lady who took our order came up and said the spoons were over there (condiment station). I again said there were none there and she told me I needed to search in the bin for one. I again told her there were none there, so she went and looked. When she didn't find any, she went to the back and got one for me. I asked about the sun size in comparison to the other Baldinos and she said they are owned by a different person and maybe I should keep going there if I'm so unhappy. Yes, that sealed the deal. I will not return to this location ever again. Not to mention, my "hot" Italian was not hot because they don't grill the meat and toast the bun, even though the menu says otherwise. read more

Do not go here! The service is absolutely awful. I called an online order in and when I walked in 10 minutes before the order was ready, there was no one in the restaurant and they told me I had to wait until 5 o'clock to pick it up. The staff was leaning over the counter, doing nothing so I waited. They had discontinued the kids meal on my order and told me they could not honor it even though I had paid for it on my order. She even called the manager who basically said too bad! They obviously cannot find good workers and do not care. I've never had this bad if an experience at any other Baldino's. We just moved to Pooler and decided based on the reviews that this might be a good place to try. Well, the service for two 13" subs was very slow. There were several other customers in the restaurant besides me. I ordered one sub with grilled onions, mushrooms, provolone and Mayo and what I got was mushrooms, onion, cheese and green pepper. The second sub was supposed to have cheese, grilled onion and lettuce. It had exactly what the first one had on it so one person got no sandwich because they can't eat mushrooms. Plus I wasted $24. I promptly called the restaurant when I got home and discovered the sandwiches were not correct but the phone went right to voice mail. It was 8:40 when I called and they close at nine so that explains that! Don't think we will eat there again read more

Ordered a 7 sandwich order for my staff and every single sub was messed up and not to the order. Highly disappointed, heard great things but everyone was very disappointed when we found every sub was wrong. The store was clean and ordering and paying online was easy. The food was not good. We ordered two steak and cheese subs and they were very poorly made. The meat, which tasted off, was all piled in one section of the bread while the rest was left empty. It was also clumped together with what we think was cold cheese. We decided to stop in here when refueling on a road trip. You know when you go in a place and it is full of locals on their lunch break that it must be good. It did not disappoint. My word! Sandwich is good but shouldn't take over 1/2 an hour to fix it. 4 people working and still can't handle 10 people on a lunch break. No one is making sure they are organized. Lines of tickets stacked up and the meat cutter decides she's going to cut each meat in batches. So like 8 roast beefs are cut together and then all the ham, then all the turkey no matter what order they were placed and paid for. So, the person dressing them can't do it in the order made. Thus the sandwich dresser is having to sort through to figure out which ticket goes with which sandwich. Then knocked our family sized sub over in the counter and had to try to put it to rights. Lady behind us had an internet order that they couldn't find. Store is brand new and super clean, but if you can't actually eat on your lunch break it doesn't matter.
