Lovin cup has been a staple to the community for 15 years now. Leslie, Erik and the amazing team have been bringing live music, fantastic food and beverages to our senses. You can stop in each day to a different setting, trivia night, open mic, live music or a private event! So many options! Seasonal food and cocktails are great... French onion soup mmmmm Local and seasonal beers on draft with so many others available in cans/bottles. Ask for recommendations from their knowledgeable bartenders. Food recommendations, Dixie chicken sweet chili, jazz sandwich, burgers... depends on my mood!

We went out to LovinCup in Henrietta for dinner and to see a band called Joe Brucato & Joyous Noise. It was well worth it. The band was great and it was our first time hearing them. The place is pretty big and we called and made reservations ahead of time, however we were told that we'd be seated clear on the other side with no sightline to the band, which was the reason why we were there. So we opted to sit at the bar to have our drinks & dinner. We told the host where we'd be and about 30-45 minutes later after our dinner was served and we were almost done we were seated at a bar top table and lucky for us with a great sightline to the band. The food was really good for our appetizer we ordered the Cauliflornication which was their version of a vegetarian chicken wing if you will. We opted for the garlic Parmesan peppercorn flavor. It was great I recommend ordering that for either a main course or an appetizer. I ordered the veggie burger and fries which I thought was good and the burger came with Thousand island dressing which made it even tastier I dipped my fries in it and I thought it was pretty tasty. My significant other got the French dip style sandwich with Mac & cheese he also enjoyed his meal. The bartender was a really nice girl that we exchanged pleasantries with so that was nice because of the band she was really busy and the bar was pretty crowded. She also served us our food, then when we were seated the waitress we had was also nice. So all in all it was a good night out.

Would be a great place to sit outside in nice weather. Spacious both inside and out. Pretty extensive menu. Didn't try much but what we did was pretty good and other items look standard but promising. Service was great.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner after a Pickelball tournament. My friends and I had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed our lunch and mocktails. The service was amazing. Plenty of parking. Full menu where they have something for everyone. It was honestly hard to choose what i wanted. I had the bowl and it was delicious. My friends all stated they enjoyed their meals as well. Definitely recommend a stop by if you're in the area.

Drove all the way from Salamanca, NY to Lovin Cup to watch their yearly holiday show (featuring music from Jim Henson and the holiday classic Emmet otter's Jug Band Christmas). Our neighbors made the trip with us and loved our entire experience here! The wait staff was superb and helped us with any questions or refills. The holiday show was top-notch that brought back many great memories also! A yearly must-see. Got dessert's and coffee's for the show. The Butterfinger Cheesecake was out of this world as well as my wife's Bourbon Pecan Pie. Our guests got a Red Velvet Cake slice as well as a cheesecake of their own. Coffee was fresh and flavorful! Highly recommend!!!

I love the lovin cup! Such a great and unique spot different from most places in Rochester - they are a restaurant, full bar, coffee bar and stage with live performances. Each week they have many themed days with events and random ones thrown in to always offer locals something to do. Some events include salsa dancing, trivia, open mic, comedy etc... The atmosphere is diverse, contemporary and artsy just a chill place to hang with friends or to do some work or really whatever you wanna do. Being located next to RIT it seems to mostly a younger crowd but there are families and old couples as well. Their coffee is almost too sophisticated for me. The cocktails are unique and very tasty (but small). And what's really different about their cocktails is you can make anyone into a mock-tail. I have yet to try their food HOWEVER IT LOOKS AND SMELLS AMAZING !! Local bakery makes the bread and quality is outstanding. I will come sometime just for their food and will update my post ;)

The menu has so many options and all are very good. Fast service even when our waiter switched out to end their shift. Cute atmosphere

Great spot by RIT .. tried it with our BeerPass and will definitely head back Sampled the dill pickle chips which are tasty but too salty. We were offered one beer and one cider option on the BeerPass - the beer was a sour from brindlehouse and very tasty. Super spacious interior - great for groups - funky decor and friendly staff

Unique atmosphere and awesome vibe for live music. There was a cover charge for the funk band 'Shine' and they were totally worth it! Excellent repertoire of songs and lots of energy. The whole crowd was tapping their toes or dancing out on the main floor. We had dessert of a hot dirty chai tea and a slice of carrot cake. It was a great evening out with my hubby. We are looking forward to checking out more gigs at this eclectic location.

Hadn't been here in ages and met up with a friend and my son for lunch. That day, there happened to be a photo shoot and a staff meeting, so the server apologized in advance, as things were a bit out of sorts. Everything, especially service was phenomenal! I had the Hot for Teacher with fries and my friend Beef au Jus sandwich, also with fries. Looking forward to going back soon.

Culture club panini with a red pepper Mayo on the side (not pictured). Very good, LOVE the bread.

What a great spot to grab a bite to eat! This place was pretty full by noon on a Thursday, so definitely get here a little early if you want to grab lunch. I opted for the culture club turkey panini and a side salad in place of fries. First off, the bread that the sandwich came on was delicious and really made for a giant panini. I also really liked the red pepper Mayo on the side too as it brought the sandwich to another level with every dip. The salad was plentiful too. Our server was quick and friendly and we all really enjoyed ourselves. It's a little on the pricier side, $20 for a lunch but I am DEFINITELY coming back for more.

Since the Lovin' cup is a bar do they check ids? im a college student under 21 does that affect my visit other than not being served alcohol

No, it is more of a restaurant that also happens to have a bar. Under 21 crowd is welcome! Just expect to show ID for alcoholic beverage orders.

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

It was very nice; we were able to have a decent conversation with dinner and that made for a wonderful experience. The service was prompt but unobtrusive. Portions are sized well but not huge. The ratio of chips to dip looked off but it was perfect. Personally, I thought the dip was under seasoned and light on the trout. The Chef came to our table to discuss his cuisine and we both left with our own opinions intact. The Featured - Friday Fish was the best Bouillabaisse I have tasted in years. It was the Friday Special and it was indeed special. The Bourbon Apple Crisp was to die for. If I had known, it was so good we would have ordered two portions instead of splitting one. I really have to say - for the most part, the wait was worth it. First and foremost, I have to call out their drink menu - while ultimately we came to enjoy a nice dinner, their cocktails were by far the biggest star of the show, with our entrees trailing very closely behind. If you like to partake in alcoholic beverages, I can say without a doubt these are the best cocktails I've had in Rochester, let alone all of Western NY, and this is even put up against drinks from the likes of Cure, Bitter Honey, and Avvino. I don't know if the bartender is just using higher quality spirits as a result of REDD being an upscale restaurant, but the "Burn after Reading", "Wise Guy", and Manhattan are some of the smoothest, most delicious, multi-noted drinks I've had in my entire life. If I don't come back for the food, I will absolutely be back for the drinks, because my goodness, abso-freaking-lutely phenomenal. My friends and I still talk about them now even weeks later. For our entrees we had the NY strip steak, grilled chicken, and a poached salmon, and every single piece of protein was cooked just perfectly. The steak was a beautiful warm medium rare, the chicken was glistening with succulent juiciness, and the poached salmon which I had for my main is one of the softest pieces of fish I've had in my life. It beautifully flaked away on a bed of potato puree and extremely well herbed and seasoned home fry-like potatoes that were ever-so-slightly just-undercooked intentionally to act as a perfect foil to the gorgeously soft puree and salmon itself. If I were to knock anything at all, the winter squash, turnip, and green vegetable medley that came with the chicken and steak was unfortunately far too undercooked for my liking, almost to the point of being completely raw, and while I appreciate letting vegetables sing and respect the beauty of raw, fresh vegetables, I was hoping for a little bit more of chef-y flair, seasoning, or even cooking of them. Besides that, the wait staff was simply top tier and were extremely inviting throughout the entire evening. We felt taken care of and checked up on often and they were the utmost professional. The only thing that was a true negative was the desserts -- if there's one thing I would NEVER order at REDD again, unfortunately our dessert missed the mark entirely. My best guess is due to lack of a pastry chef, but our chocolate tart was muddy and flavorless, not even tasting of chocolate, and the two homemade ice creams we tried - chocolate, and oatmeal followed in suit. We ultimately wrapped up at REDD but then ran down to Char Steak & Grill at the Strathallan for what ended up being a phenomenal dessert experience there. But overall, I have to say - I will definitely be back! The entrees were awesome, the cocktails were life-changing, and the ambience and wait staff were without fault. Thank you for a wonderful experience, REDD, and see you again soon!

While planning our dinner party months in advance, the communication from Janine was excellent. She helped us develop a 4-course menu that was sure to have something for everyone, including vegan and allergy friendly options. Amy was our server for the evening, and she ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. The chairs in the Meyer's Den are wide and comfortable, the decor is dark and classy, and being in the basement away from the dining room made it very quiet and easy to converse with family. The room is rather spacious for 12 guests, but could also accommodate a few more people without feeling cramped. Out of the appetizers we selected, the Charred Octopus was very popular and everyone enjoyed it...even those that had never previously eaten octopus. The baby cauliflower dish was also a beautiful presentation, and quite large and enjoyable. The salads, particularly the Charred Hurricane salad, were nice light courses before the entree was served. As for the entrees, the filet mignon was a little on the dry side, but we really enjoyed the light and crispy spinach fritters that accompanied the beef. The salmon was a generous portion of medium rare fish, and there was lot going on with that dish - spicy cauliflower and za'atar potatoes that had some mixed reviews. Folks who ordered the duck breast seemed to enjoy the complex preparation, which had asparagus, green beans, and two pureed sauces - cauliflower ginger and cherry-rhubarb. The doughnut bread pudding with apple pieces and vanilla ice cream was a delicious, decadent way to end the meal. We left rather stuffed, and delighted with the overall experience that allowed our family to celebrate together.
