Great In-Store Service, Terrible Customer Support Hotline I ordered two medicine cabinets from Lowe's because they were in stock (even though they were slightly more expensive than Home Depot). Shipping was supposed to take 5 days, but when the delivery came, I only received one cabinet--the second box was a random piece of luggage I didn't order. Calling customer service made things worse. Abigale was unhelpful, gave contradictory answers about a discount, and hung up on us after we asked to speak with a manager. When I called back, Tina (a manager) still couldn't resolve the issue. Also, be aware: debit card refunds can take 3-10 days, and they won't guarantee any discounts over the phone. On the positive side, the in-store experience completely turned things around. At my local Anaheim Lowe's, Kayah in returns was great and made me feel valued. She brought in the store manager, Edward, who handled everything professionally and gave me a discount for the inconvenience. Bottom line: Store employees like Kayah and Edward are excellent. The customer service hotline is extremely frustrating--skip the phone and go straight to the store. read more

RUDE STAFF!!! SALVIA IS HER NAME! This is the reason why Lowe's has poor reviews because their fucking staff is so fucking rude. I was standing in the self checkout line when there was one self checkout line with their lights turned on, which means it's working. I asked the staff is that checkout stand working she said yes, but it's not available so we waited a few minutes more. No one was there and I said how come it's not available she said someone is going to come back because they forgot an item. So if that customer is not ready to check out, cancel their whole transaction so that another customer who is ready could use the self checkout stand. That is so fucking selfish of them. Time is money and my time is very valuable too. This is so uncalled for an unnecessary. If the customer is not ready, cancel their transaction when they are ready to pay then start. Very disappointed with my experience with Lowe's. The refrigerator provided to my apartment malfunctioned and stopped keeping food cold, which caused me to lose a significant amount of groceries and prepared meals. While they did replace the refrigerator, they refused to take any responsibility for the food loss caused by their defective appliance. I understand policies, but when a product failure directly impacts a customer, there should be some level of accountability or goodwill. my LOWES nightmare continues . we purchased a oven/microwave set . the microwave was install last friday. April 10 no problems. Well at 6pm PST i called them , they told me, we are sorry our installation dept is CLOSED , please call back friday morning... So now IM furious , WHATEVER happened to Customer Service??? Lowe's is out of the way for me, but I had a gift card, so I decided to make a trip over. I'm currently enjoying summer gardening, so this review is strictly on my experience at their Garden Center. It looked promising from the outside. The typical sun-loving plants and a rolling cart of vegetable plants are displayed just before entering the actual Garden Center. Inside, however, was so much smaller than I expected. The majority of the flowering plants were in gallon size pots, I didn't spot any 6 cell packs and they did not even half a dozen 4" flowering plants. Only pro was that they did have a decent selection of pots and fertilizers. I guess the Garden Center really isn't a main destination because there's only one checkout register outside While the checker was friendly, there was no sense of urgency to get customers checked out and in their way. With my gift card spent, unfortunately I doubt I'll be back. read more

Systematically good as when you arrive, they will meet ya in the pick parking spot you select and indicated in their app. Selection - the usual big box store that carries lumber, garden, hardware, tools like Dewalt, Kobalt, Bosch, and Craftsman to name a few. One star is too high when it comes to their customers service. I went in for a BBQ gas grill. I had to buy one in a box because it wouldn't fit in my Toyota RAV4. I asked customer for assistance; the employee said no problem when send some to help you. I went to aisle 26. I looked around for the box. After 18 minutes I went back to ask for assistance again. By the way this Sunday evening, not really busy. A different employee at the customer service desk said he would send some over. I heard over the PA system, but no one responded. I walked out in the line of site so the service guy could see me. He saw me and looked surprised no was there to help. He makes an announcement on the PA system that customer was waiting (yes me). After a total of 35 minutes waiting I decided to help a lady with a large box because I saw four employees all young men walk past me and this lady. I gave up my flat cart and help the lady with her box. She thank me and offered to bring back the cart once she was done. I told her I wasn't going to need it. As a contractor, I'm continually frustrated by the lack of basic customer service at Lowe's--especially when it comes to something as simple as bags. Not only are bags not provided for free, but more often than not, there are none available at all. It's no wonder Home Depot continues to outperform Lowe's in nearly every way, including market value. While Lowe's is closer to my home, I often find myself driving the extra distance to Home Depot because they're simply better stocked and more attuned to the needs of both contractors and DIY customers. Yes, we are giving a 4 star review because it too long time for us to get assistance on aisle 14, which is cabinets. We asked for someone to come help us because the item was too heavy-a storage cabinet that weighs 174 pounds. We had someone page employees over the loud speaker to get help. Twice. No response. We asked a gentleman to get us help. He tried to move the item. I told him that I would like help him but I could not help him since my back went out when I tried to lift the item earlier. We told him he would need another staff member to help. He came back, but not with someone to help him. Finally, we got these two young guys, Sal and Angel to help us. They were very professional. The quickly got the cabinet on the cart and helped us take it out to our car and load it properly. They were very friendly and had a positive attitude. They are the reason we will return. The lack of communication and urgency from the staff was very frustrating. I understand breaks happen, but there should be more than one person available to handle basic customer service. Customer service here is nonexistent. I can't even find a company email to send this complaint to. I came for curbside pickup for an online order of mulch. When I arrived, all 6 curbside pickup parking spots were taken by empty cars that were clearly not there for curbside pickup. They were parked there for longer than I was, which was over 20 minutes. No one was enforcing the parking signs. I walked in to the store to talk to a customer service representative since I was forced to park in a spot outside of the designated curbside pickup spots. She said it was no problem but that it may take a bit for the person to bring the mulch since it was located in the back of the store. I waited 15 minutes in my car before I went inside to check in again. She was shocked that I was still waiting and went to call for help, to which another person told me I had to wait for someone to bring the mulch from the back. Lol, I wasn't falling for that again. I told the guy that there was mulch sitting outside in the front of the store and it made no sense for someone to bring it from the back when I could literally grab it 20 feet from where I was parked and waiting. He said I could not do that because someone would have to scan my order barcode. I told him it was pretty ridiculous that I had already waited over 20 minutes for a curbside pickup order and asked to speak to a manager. That's when another associate, Roberto, stepped in and fulfilled my order and made quick work of the mulch, loading 2 bags at a time into my car. What a hero, truly one of the very few employees here deserving of praise. TLDR; It took over 20 minutes for curbside pickup of an item that I could have just purchased in store and been out in less than 5 minutes. I saw a bunch of associates standing around and doing nothing while I was waiting, so the wait was not even because the store was busy. Installation of my dishwasher was fantastic. Actually ordered my Maytag dishwasher online. I felt it was a very good price, listed as being on sale. But that is always the easy part. Delivery and installation is often sketchy when buying any appliances from any store. But not this time. I was kept very well informed as to when the dishwasher was being delivered to the Fullerton store. Then the day before that was to take place the installation company is now contacting me about installing the dishwasher. We scheduled the date and an approximate time and I asked for a 30 minute heads up as to when the Installer might be there, which I usually do but does not always happen. Sure enough the morning of the installation the installer Walter is calling me to give me a 30 minute heads up, WOW! So now I am thinking okay this is going too well, I wonder if this is the Installer first time putting in a dishwasher lol. I could not have been more wrong. This Installer Walter is one of the finest installers I have ever seen. Obviously, very experienced as he entered the home and went right to work, extracting the old dishwasher and preparing to install the new one. So carefully routing the electrical cord and waterline and connecting them. Then very carefully sliding the dishwasher into place as it was a very tight fit. As he finished, Walter made very sure that the dishwasher was level and secured then ran it to make sure everything was working properly. This was definitely one of the best purchases and installations we have ever had. Thank you, Walter for making sure everything was safe and secure and for explaining to me the operation of our Maytag dishwasher. read more

I called ahead and the tool associate was really friendly but when I went to go pickup at the returns department the head cashier Becky was extremely rude. I politely explained I called ahead and was told it would be fine to grab here. I asked if there was an eta or if I could just grab it. She then says in a condescending tone "the associate PHYSICALLY has it in his hand and will be up in a few minutes. She said "just so you know for next time it takes a couple hours". I told her there won't be a next time and she was being rude. She then says "want to repeat that". I am baffled I said "Do you really want to fight with a customer?" She was being extremely immature. Then she talks shit in front of me to another customer saying expects $100 service for her purchase. I ignored her a friendly guy handed me my item to which I said "thank you" and he said "no problem". Seems like Becky is the issue. I don't know if Becky woke up on the wrong side of the bed but a manager should review footage of the interaction and discipline her accordingly. I ordered a large, double, outdoor lounge from Lowe's online and had it shipped to me. When I opened it, it appeared to be both defective and damaged. The metal frame has gaps where parts should have been welded together and covered with paint. The gaps are sharp and are NOT covered with paint. There are also other areas on the metal frame where the paint appears to be chipped and missing. I called Lowe's customer service a few different times and spoke with at least two different people. I was told that I needed to call the manufacturer of the item to report the defect. I called the number for the manufacturer that Lowe's gave me, but the voicemail box was full, and I could not leave a message. I had to call Lowe's back to tell them about this problem. They gave me another number to call, which I did, and this time I left a voicemail with a description of my problem and my contact information. I was told to wait 24 hours to allow the manufacturer to call me back. It has now been more than 24 hours and I have not heard from anyone. On one of my calls with Lowe's I told them I wanted to return the product. The customer service rep said I had to return it to a store in person. I told her that's not possible because the item is too large to fit in my car, that I wanted to ship it back. She said shipping it back is NOT an option. I asked several times why I could not ship it back to the store since that's how it came to me in the first place and that online orders are shipped back to stores to make returns all the time. She just kept repeating that I could not ship it back and that I had to bring it to the store to return it. I asked if I could get a discount, thinking that possibly I could buy materials to sand down the sharp edges and try to seal and paint the areas that were exposed (this would cost even more because it would require me to buy materials and do work to try to repair the defective and damaged areas). She only offered me a store credit for $25, which I told her is not nearly enough for the price of the product and for the amount of materials and work required for me to try to fix it. She said she was not authorized to offer any more. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no one was available and that a supervisor would return my call within 24 hours. It has been more than 24 hours and no one has contacted me. Lowe's is sending a loud and clear message that it does not give a damn about what is right or fair. I have already spent way too much time trying to resolve this issue and have gotten nowhere. The time and stress alone are worth far more than $25, plus I don't want store credit because I'm done shopping at Lowe's! After all of this, I was forced to call my credit card company to dispute the charge. read more

This has been my go to Lowe's for about three years and I've gotten courteous service with finding needed items and loading heavy packages into my vehicle. Last night I bought two cabinets totaling about 300 lbs and *Byron,* Jesus and *Rob all went above and beyond to load these items into my truck and they did it with a smile and great care. The courtesy/customer service rep last night was also super helpful. When I was just looking g for the location of these cabinets, he was nice enough to ask if I was buying theee today and he rung me up right then so once help arrived to load these items, I didn't have to wait in line to pay. I called the Lowe's prior to coming down here and talk to home decor which said there was a person available when I arrived to cut my blinds for me. I arrived at the store went to home decor waited 15 minutes and finally asked someone to get a person that could cut the blinds after waiting another 10 minutes I decided to call the store and ask customer service to please send somebody to the home decor areas so I could cut my blinds again another 10 minutes before another associate was walking by and again called for help in the area I waited almost 30 minutes before someone showed up that knew how to cut the blinds Customer service here Hass to be the worst and is horrible and not a tributes back to the manager of the store who should be fired for the poor job he's doing just read the other reviews. There were so many employees just walking around and bullshitting with each other instead of helping customers it was embarrassing to the store I will drive to the Tustin store because at least there are people take care of you, and make sure someone is always in the areas where they should be not walking around talking with others and not doing their job. Although I could get lost looking through the aisles finding was I need here, I sometimes have trouble finding a salesperson to point me in the right direction. ThIs store is clean and usually well-stocked. I also like that I can get in and out fairly quickly here. The plumbing section seems like it is just thrown at the shelves and where it lands it sits. Most stores organize pvc fittings by size and incrementally go up 1/2,3/4,1, ect no not here. Looking for 1"? Try between that box of 2" and 1/2" above the 3/4 but below the 1 1/4. It's like whoever designed or laid out where to put it had a seizure and they went with it. Oh ya don't bother looking where it should be since who ever is doing go backs or picking up just throws everything into one of the higher up boxes hoping no one will ever come looking for a 1 1/2 female coupler only to find t fittings 1/2" couplers 2" adaptors and a handful of random bushings plugs or caps. He offered to shine it up, break it down to fit in my car, and how to put it together easily. If you know exactly what you need then this place is fine, exactly like any other. But I never go here if there's even a shadow of a suggestion that I'm going to need anyone to help me since I know that will lead to doom (even worse, spending more time than I need to be there). I don't recall ever having gotten any customer service from there. But they do have a good selection (maybe too much) and decent prices, and a good return policy (I've bought something only to take it back less than 10 minutes later). And it's nice knowing there's one within a short driving distance. Also: exact-same review for Home Depot not far away (since I can't tell them apart). Extra: the parking lot isn't so large and empty that it's a good place to teach your first-time teenage daughter to drive. There are still cars going around, and the back of the Walmart next door is surprisingly busy. Brea parking lots have more room. read more

In the past I have dealt with fairly well trained staff at Lowe's that knew their stuff. Today didn't happen to be one of those days. I spoke with four different people to find hardware cloth. The first two people directed me to the wrong departments. The third person didn't even know what hardware cloth was so she had to ask her supervisor who directed me to a section with Shade Cloth. I knew there was a problem when she asked me what color I want. Hardware cloth is a fairly normal product in hardware stores and it should not have been so difficult. They wasted almost 30 minutes of my time giving me the run around. I eventually found it myself. I'm going to back to supporting my local ACE. I also had one item to return that I bought a few day's earlier at another nearby Lowes. At the return counter I was told that I had to go back to the Lowes I bought the item at even though this store carries the item. He also make a claim that all Lowes aren't connected. I also read return policy on the receipt stating that all returns can be brought to any Lowes in the US. He didn't care. read more
