The advantage of shopping at Lowe's is the great selection of products and supplies for the DIYers. This location is always well-stocked, and it's easy to find what you need, especially if you are like me and prefer browsing on your own. With that said the downside: staff assistance is literally non existent. I was able to find an associate to help with a price check but unfortunately she couldn't direct me to where mortar filler was located (she wasn't familiar with the product). Bait and switch by Andrea at the Pro Desk. I placed a large order through my PRO account online and received about a 7% volume discount. Wanting to make sure I was getting the best deal, I called and spoke with Andrea at the Pro Desk. She told me she could take an additional $200 off and reduce the delivery fee to $20--but only as a credit after the order was delivered. After the delivery, I went in to follow up, and suddenly the story changed. Andrea told me the only way to get the extra discount was by using a specific Pro Account credit card. She pointed to a brochure with both a PRO account card and a credit card, and said, "This is the card you need--the discount will come next time." At first, I assumed she meant the same PRO account I already had. I started filling out the application, but as someone else rushed me through the form, I realized I was being signed up for a credit card, not a different kind of PRO account. I never agreed to that. Andrea had already walked away by then, and it became clear there was never going to be a credit back on my original order. The deal I was promised on the phone was gone, replaced with "nothing we can do--but here's a credit card you can apply for to maybe save next time." I came in expecting to redeem a promised discount. Instead, I got misleading information, pressure to open a credit card, and no resolution. Just had a very unprofessional interaction with Rich, the assistant manager. When Rich was asked about the rationale for a relatively new return policy, he curtly responded that it is the policy. When he was asked to explain the policy, he then said that it's always been that way. Rich was very rude. For an Assistant Manager, Rich was indifferent, appeared bothered to have had to come to Customer Service and overall set a poor example of customer service in the presence of other customers and other Lowe's employee. To make matters worse, when I asked for his superior's information, Rich said his name is Zack and I could call the store on Monday. Rich did not offer the number to call or the hours when Zack would be available. Next time, I will continue driving down the road to the nearby Home Depot. I encourage you to do the same. I'm rating this as a single star however this Lowe's is not worthy of such a high rating. read more

He spent time answering our questions and going over details regarding manufacturer warranty, what to expect during delivery and so forth. They were very busy, with limited staff (due to shortage we are all experiencing), and he was able to maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor throughout. The store is clean and usually has what I need. That being said, I don't usually interact with the employees which seems to be the biggest reason for negative reviews here. Pricing is usually pretty good, and they frequently have things marked down on clearance all throughout the store. I've used the order online and pickup in store option a few times and it always seems pretty quick. I've also done curbside pickup which is easy and smooth. The MyLowes receipt lookup is so convenient, especially for people like me who can never remember to grab the correct receipt or find it in the first place! read more

I'm glad that everyone enjoys their coworkers so much at this store because they are always conversing. You can't find anything and no one wants to help you. Prices are either wrong on the shelf or products ring up at the wrong price. Today was the last straw. No toilet paper or paper towels in the restroom. I'm surprised at the level of care that the team working here provides. I usually go to Lowes instead of Home Depot if I want fewer crowds and after moving here that rule seems to prove true too. I ordered some appliances to furnish our new home. When it was delivered the contracted delivery team wired up my laundry incorrectly and scratched my new fridge. Came in to rent a carpet cleaner. Each time I've done this the associates have not known how. Alex helped me today (young man with glasses) and he was so kind and friendly. Even though he didn't know how he asked multiple people to help him and was very proactive with me. The young lady that came over to help him, blonde with glasses, was extremely rude to both him and I to the point where him and I each gave each other that "idk what her problem is" eye contact. There is a guy who works there that asks if I need help with a smile EVERY time I go there and I always say "thank you, I'm good" THAT guy wasn't there today. I'm trying to overpay HUNDREDS of dollars for a couple pieces of glass, a couple of pulleys and a few screws, known as a shower door. Instead I tried for 40 minutes to get help including going to the front desk and having someone paged. Nobody! The people I did see with the red vest did that thing they do at Lowes where they avoid eye contact so they can go avoid doing anything useful somewhere else in the store. Pissed, hungry and in need of going to the bathroom, I left. Not deserving of one star but I was completely unimpressed. Never have I had better customer service at a hardware store. The staff here is incredible at ensuring the happiness of the purchaser. My boyfriend and I went in with the intentions of purchasing a few items. When one of the items was out of stock, the manager called for help of an employee named Rob. He was so kind, considerate and willing to search high and low for the item we were there to purchase. Rob went above and beyond for us, along with the rest of the staff on the night shift last night. I am truly grateful for their help and will continue to shop at the Southlands neighborhood Lowe's. I can do nothing more today than to give this location 5 star based on my experience with 1 employee. I had gone to another location closer to home and looked for patio furniture. I found something I liked and was told this location was the only one who even had 1 chair. I find it insane that mid July with more then 3 months left of nice weather here; people find it comical that I am looking for patio furniture. I have always hated how retail runs our lives because when they say it's a certain season, that's all you get. Anyhow, this location was asked to hold this item for me for about 1/2 hour. I made stops at 4 other stores and decided to just go home because I was told at the first Lowes that no way, no how could I get these chairs. It was end of season, blah blah blah. When I got home I went online to the site again and noticed an option to have them shipped to me, now this is after a manager told me.. nope. Clicked it and low and behold it went through. I decided I needed to go look at the one they had and hoped it was still in the store 2 hours after I was supposed to be there. When I got to the location, it was still there waiting for me. I found this hard to believe but was delighted to see it. It was the style and weight I had been looking for. A nice solid chair that wasn't going to last a season and be ready for the trash after summer was over. The second lovely bit of information was, it was on clearance for 25% off the original price. I can't say enough about Laura that works at this location in patio/seasonal. She is really nice and over the top helpful. I explained to her what had been happening the last few hours she said "Let's go look at a few things." Within probably 20 mins she had gone above and beyond and found the chairs. Yes, the chairs that were no where to be found; so I was told were found in Texas and would be shipped if I was willing to pay the shipping for them. I was willing to pay the original price for them and shipping so HECK yes I was going to do it at 25% off. I even upped the purchase from 6-8 since I could get them and for the reduced price. I have been in customer service for many years so when someone goes above and beyond for me it always makes an impression. She could have said, "Sorry there's nothing I can do." I could not thank her enough for her help. I even decided to take the chair that they had even though it was slightly damaged from being a floor model. There was some additional taken off it due to the damage. I got a great deal today and what I felt was exceptional customer service. So frustrating, decided to order for store pickup, went online and everything showed in stock. Selected for pickup here was told should be within 24 hours which I can understand. Then I get an email stating it won't be available for two weeks! Spent 45 minutes on hold to be told that the sandpaper was being ordered in. I asked if we took the sandpaper off then everything would be available. Awesome great long wait but can do my project this weekend. Saturday rolls around no updates. Again 45 minutes of hold to be told it was STILL gonna take two weeks! I just cancelled. I ordered the stain from the manufacturer and it will take less time! Then just ordered the rest via Amazon. I'm soooo annoyed by this store! We ordered a washer and dryer from this store last Saturday. The guy that sold it to us told us it takes 3-5 days to get in so he scheduled our delivery for today (one week later) and said someone would call us 3 days prior to delivery to confirm. No one called us so I called Friday to check the status of it. The stupid girl on the phone took forever to figure out what she was doing but then confirmed that they were coming today (Saturday). She said they will call in the morning with the time they are arriving. I receive a call this morning from the store thinking they are going to tell me what time they will be delivering my washer and dryer. Instead the lady tells me that our appliances never even made it on the truck from the warehouse so they won't be delivered until sometime next week!!!!! At this point I'm furious. Our washer broke down and we had sold our dryer (after we had purchased the new one) so we have had no way to wash clothes for over a week now. I tell the lady they will have to come on Tuesday because I work from home on Tuesdays and she tells me that they can't do it because it's greyed out. I told her it has to be on Tuesday because I'm not rearranging my entire schedule on another day for them not to show up again. Their semi redemption was that she talked to her manager and had him override the Tuesday delivery so it should hopefully get delivered on Tuesday. Overall I'm super pissed at this store. Their employees are all over the place and don't seem to know their head from their butt holes! If you're needing appliances don't come here! read more

This Lowes is just across the way from Southlands Mall. We actually hadn't gone in it much since the Home Depot in the area is closer to us. However, after several trips with terrible service at Home Depot we went to this store to look at flooring - and found our new home improvement store. Infinitely more organized, staff is actually helpful and all in all an entirely enjoyable experience. All good! Still a little slow to find people to help on a Saturday, but once we got one they were top notch! read more

These guys are the epitome of amateur hour. I order curbside pickup from the app - I get notification my order is ready - I indicate in the app "I am on my way" - I pull up and click "I'm here" - then proceed to wait 12 min (with no other cars in the curbside pickup). I finally call the store and tell them I've been waiting, the lady puts me on hold for another 3 min, gets back on and says "oh it's right here, it'll be right out." 5-26-19 11:25 am. Husband and I waited 15 minutes for anyone to make an appearance at the pro desk. Nobody showed. Mark, the cashier on aisle 2 across from the pro desk never once asked if he could help or offered to call for someone. Instead he carefully avoided looking our direction. Was wanting to purchase Trex hidden connectors but after asking a few aisle people they said if they weren't to be found on the shelves they didn't have them. Gave up (even though we had just spent over $1000 on Trex decking materials with them last week). Went to Home Depot, service desk was able to use the computer to verify if they were in stock, I had them in hand 1 minute thereafter and from walk in to checkout less than 5 minutes. Sorry I purchased the rest of the Trex from Lowes. Nobody at Lowes had been really interested in helping. read more

This Lowes, as any other ones needs big shake up. Trying to find de essential items bit had hard time and there was no one around to assist with. Finally found what I was looking for and.... viola.. started seeing employees walking around. I got what I needed so that was fone but they should be greeting all of the customers and finding out if they need help. Yes, Lowes is going thru lot of problems and findamentally, their customer service sucks big time. Sorry to say but most employees I have encountrd are not fit to work. I m gonna find out if they have store item locator apps like Hone Depot so I dont have to rely on store employees. This negative write-up is for all Lowes - not just this store. They no longer take your military ID for their discount in the store. You need to sign up for a MyLowes account and submit documentation to be verified. When that doesn't work - tried several times - you have no recourse and you get no discount. Not even the manager in the store can help you nor can waiting on hold for more than an hour can help you. So.....if you're a veteran and can legally prove it and were hoping to get a military discount at Lowes - good luck. I've not been successful and therefore won't be shopping there in the future. read more

This location is the best in town! I love that you can bring your dog, and just wander around looking for home supplies, appliances, lights, and even more! It is a great location and non-remote. After several completely unsatisfying visits to the Home Depot a couple minutes closer to my house I finally decided to branch out and try the Lowe's that's just across the highway. All I have to say is WOW. I've been in a few times since my initial foray over here and the place always has exactly what I need. It's much easier to find the stuff (their aisle system actually makes sense), and with the exception of one time I was there I've never had trouble finding someone who can give me a hand. We were looking to replace all of our carpet with Pergo floors but have the misfortune of trying to match a room that's already done and luckily Lowes has these huge sample boards of Pergo you can check out for $25 (refundable) so that you can take them home and match it. Once I found the match the guy was very helpful in special ordering it and gave me a call the day it came in. Definitely coming back here! read more

If it wasn't for the excellent coupons by mail and occasional 'more stylish' decor, I would ban this location and never return. I really only like the one off of Arapahoe (4 star). The Parker location is prob a 3 star as I don't care for the management. As for the Southlands location - Service is spotty! Yes, its harsh because we all know Lowes has never been a place to get good advice on fixing broken 'stuff'. At least at other locations people can actually point you to the correct isle and not suggest you go to a different location. HA! yes its true. I visit many box stores on a regular basis (Big DIYer). The service at this store is in direct relation to the amount of people shopping it. Minimal. The store is also one of the smaller locations so finding items that you should be able to find can be a task. Go ahead and ask - its true. Unless you have a coupon - head to Home Depot. Service here is spotty as well (see my yelp) but at least they have a selection and try really hard to know what they are talking about. Let me preface this review by saying I did order a washer/dryer from this Lowes store during the COVID-19 pandemic. I understand retailers should get a little leeway during this time but, there was NO excuse for the customer experience I had. This order's sole issue was a serious lack of communication from the store. I ordered a new washer/dryer with all the accessories from Lowes on 3/26. It was done all online and the only issue was the soonest delivery wasn't until 4/10/20. Again, it's a pandemic so I was understanding of the delay. Cut to two weeks later, it's delivery day and I get an automated email from Lowes the day before saying that the delivery will be between 8am and 8pm. "Seriously? A 12-hour delivery window?" Ugh, fine. I take the day off work and I wait for the delivery guy to show up. 4 o'clock that day I get a call from Lowes. "Just wanted to tell you we have your order, are you available tomorrow for delivery?" I'm now a bit shocked. "Wait, they were supposed to deliver today, I've been waiting all day!" She replies "Well, yes, but we just got your washer/dryer in the store today. But don't worry, your delivery will be on the truck and you'll be our first delivery tomorrow." They really couldn't have called the day before to say that, so I didn't take a whole day off work to wait for them!? Again, fine, I'll wait tomorrow too. At this point I'm starting to get a bit annoyed how they handled it. The next day I wake up early to make sure if the delivery guy hits my house first, as Lowes said they would, I'll be ready. All morning goes by, no delivery truck, then part of the afternoon, nothing! I'm getting mad, I call the Lowes store to find out where my delivery is, "Well it's on the truck, I don't know what to tell ya. If it doesn't show up today you can talk to the delivery manager on Monday." At this point I want to cancel, "Sorry it's on the truck there's nothing I can do." "Fine, let me speak to a manager" I was trying to seek a credit for all the lost time I had, waiting for a delivery driver that has yet to show. "Sorry there's no one like that here, you'll have to call back Monday." Uh huh, not ONE manager in the store? So, I hang up and waited even more for the truck. 5 o'clock they pull into the driveway! Finally! The delivery drivers get out open the back of the truck, "Where do you want it?" "Upstairs in the laundry room would be great, thanks!" Then the icing on the cake, he replies. "Oh, we can't go into people's houses anymore, new policy." I'm fuming! No one told me this, I received no communication or notice telling me that they wouldn't bring it upstairs to my laundry room the best they said they could do was put them in the garage! I had to carry both washer and dryer up the stairs myself and install them. In summary, The Lowes store's lack of communication easily earns it less than one star. I can't stress enough I understand there is a pandemic, but a simple phone call or email communication would have gone a long way in their case. In fact, I would have written a much better review if they had called me on the 9th and said, "Sorry the delivery is delayed till the 11th and we can't enter your house." But instead the delivery took two weeks to order, was a day and half late to deliver, and they couldn't deliver it to the proper room. All without proper notice and communication. I honestly wished I could have cancelled the order when I tried. read more

We've got a lot of experience with several Lowe's and Home Depot stores but this Southlands location of Lowe's is my favorite. I will drive an extra 4 miles (and pay the toll fees if I'm in a hurry) to go to this store. The staff is friendly and more importantly, consistent. It's nice to be able to chat with Russ in lighting or Tam in flooring when choosing products and then find them weeks later for additional advice about the project. Another valued characteristic of a home improvement store for me is "mellowness". Although we do a lot of our own home improvement, it's not my favorite thing. I'm usually stressed about the cost as well as whether it's going to go well. Walking into a crowded, hectic, messy store is the last thing I need. Walking into the Lowe's Southlands brings just the calm I need. It's quiet, clean, organized and unhurried. Unfortunately for Lowe's that probably means they're not doing the business they'd like, but I'll take advantage of it for as long as I can until things pick up for them. Avoid this place like the plague. Ordered a washer and dryer on 8/28 for delivery on 9/14. Everything seems fine until 9/13 when I am notified that in fact the units that I ordered were sold to someone else, and the products are no longer available. By this time, all stores were out of stock of not only the items we ordered, but pretty much every matching washer and dryer pair out there. This store cost us hundreds of dollars, countless hours, and left us without a washer and dryer for weeks. Highly recommend trying a Home Depot, Costo, Best Buy, or pretty much anything but this terrible place. read more
